  • 6 people can't bend it like beckham

  • i remember going to this match we were on the other side and the curve was brilliant

  • this was good maybe

  • my dad got that on video as well

  • haha co za kapucyny z australi. jeden miał koszu;ke ronaldinho hahahahahaah przeciez oni w ogule nie majom pojencia o piłce ....

  • No, MLS isnt nearly as developed as the English, Italian, or Spanish leagues, however they are a real soccer league. I'll put it this way. If you added Columbus, DC United, and Houston to the EPL only 1 of them would probably be relagated, and another one would probably have a shot to finish in the top half. When Galaxy played Chelsea BEFORE they had Becks they only lost one nil and they were worst in MLS at that point, so add DB and they could have a shot at beating Chelsea or even Arsenal.

  • Seattle Sounders FC

  • You lost me when you said soccer.

    Its football mate.

BTW, this is coming from an Australian.

  • get over it, goddamn

  • No. Its football, not sokkah.

Different countries may call it something different and I respect that. But really, when your on a site such as Youtube where its international. Its football.

  • Technically youtube is based in California where football is a very different game.

Regardless, even as an American I have always thought "football" is a dumb name for a sport where it is a penalty for all the players on the field but 1 to actually kick the ball. By this logic we should have named "soccer" "handball" instead.

  • 1 player on each team is allowed to use his hand while the ball is in play, while when the ball is out of play for a throw one player can throw the ball back in and that is that.

Penalties are fouls which are incurred within the penalty box. This doesnt happen often, maybe once every 5 games or so. Penalties are 1v1. Free kicks are fouls that happen outside the box and its 11v11.

Youtube should respect international differences and call things the proper name, not what its called locally.

  • Sorry, my post was confusing. I was not arguing that youtube should call it "soccer".

I was musing at the word football. As you pointed out 1 person on a team can use their hands while everyone can use their feet. Hence the name "football" seems appropriate.

It is exactly opposite in the game Americans call football. Generally speaking everyone can use their hands while only one person is allowed to use their foot. So for that game the name "football" makes no sense.

  • Ah ok, I understand now. You were agreeing with me/backing up my argument/etc..

    Sorry about that misunderstanding :)

  • A long shot. The quality of players at Arsenal and Chelsea is stupendous, they are on another level. Fabregas, Drogba, Anelka, Lampard, Arshavin, Ballack, Carvalho, Terry, Gallas etc etc... these players would, quite frankly, piss all over the MLS. And Becks is not even the player he was when he was at United, where he undoubtedly had his best years. Any MLS side would struggle in the Premier League, it is another world.

  • great view

  • to all the morons who call football, soccer... go wake the fuck up, if americans called it football maybe they wouldnt suck so bad..fuckin rediculious

  • u guys need to grow up... there playing the sport mayb not as good but if u ask me any good players in america get drafted somewhere around the world.

  • I was at that game.

  • MLS soccer isn't real soccer.

  • thenwhat is it

  • Everyone was cheering because he has never been to Australia so probs no australian have seen him play overseas that was their taste to see how good he was a freekicks now the fans can walk away smiling knowing that they prolly only get 1 chance to see a free kick like that from a quality freekick taker

  • lol hahah true but we can always watch the premier league

  • well it was a bad cheer because the score was 3-0 la losing

  • I didn't think that there were so many interested in soccer in the US.. and oh, nice one Beckham.

  • This game was not played in the US, it was played in Sydney, Australia

  • drinuwilliams. It was a friendly that's why it wasn't going nuts.

  • lol compared to english fans that was a lousy cheer when David scored.

The whole stadium would have flown of if someone scored a goal like that in england

  • hey dickhead, thats because the whole stadium was gong for sydney fc not la galaxy and i was there and ppl from sydney fc were cheering hell loud just cuz they appreciate what he can do. listen to when sydney fc scores buddy then u'll eat ur words

  • yea seriously, dont you think its amazing that he got any cheer at all considering he scored AGAINST THE HOME TEAM?! wakey wakey dipshit.

  • wow what a rubbish atmosphere !!

  • a ronaldinho jersey.. wait... wat?

  • I was at this game and i am a huge beckham fan when he scored that goal the stadium erupted i went crazy

    go the newcastle jets

  • LEGEND!!!!!!!!

  • great camera work. u can see the goalkeeper get totally wrongfooted

  • how many pepl were in that stadium

  • 80 000, it was an unreal atmosphere, especially seing Sydney win! SYDNEY TILL I DIE

  • actually it wasnt that atmospheric.. i mean that goal was good but during the game there was parts which were just silent.. i wonder what a fa cup final at wembely with 90,000 be like...

  • i strongly agree with u

  • 4 million you did not no that

  • they shouldnt of put juniniho in the wall hes the smallest player

  • Juninho wasnt in the wall, facing the goal - left to right it was... Talay, Tsattalios, Santalab, Zadkovich and Biddle. And at end of day didnt matter... LA Galaxy blockers pushed Talay off the mark and Beckham put the ball above the blockers. But you are right, Tsattalios isn't very tall, im surprised they didnt have Rudan, Fyfe etc in the wall.

  • well they could of had poppa coz hes preety tall

  • this was a great goal, the crowd was quiet as for 80 000 tho.

  • Thats cause it wasnt Sydney FC scoring :P

  • yea but even wen they did it wasnt so noisy, guess its cos most ppl there were to see beckham and werent hardcore sydent supportors huh?

  • You are pretty much right. The crowd was made up by alot of families and Beckham lovers who dont regularly come. If you come to regular Sydney FC A-League home games the noise at those games is probably louder even with fewer people, especially in the Cove, or sitting up their end of the park.

  • louder than the dome?

(im victory, dont tease cos we shit this season.)

  • Dont worry, we aren't going all that much better! MVFC and SFC definately have the loudest supporter groups. MVFC have more fans and are probably louder, altho person for person I think SFC would come out on top. I would take a guess that SFS is louder than the Dome, mainly cause Dome is a round AFL ground whereas SFS is better suited for football, fans closer to the pitch, noise less dispersed. But im no expert...

  • yea i reckon u'd be right

  • Theres the same shot at a better angle on the youte cannel ten website

  • i agree with ur description...

    UNBELIEVABLE...

  • nice description bro....i dont even need 2 see the goal.......just read ur descrptions enough for me

  • i was at the game i got better recording

  • Well actually, the quality of this clip on my camera and on the computer is as clear as day. For some reason the quality of the video is drastically reduced when uploaded to youtube.
