  • Hi Ladies. Just wanted 2 let everyone know 2 be careful. I bought every product Miss Jessie's had b4 and then I found out 1 day that all of their products contained 2 of the most harmful ingredients that we can put on our hair, stearyl alcohol, cetyl alcohol, and petroluem. All of which are extremely drying and cause breakage. Plz ladies don't take this message wrong bcuz if you use some subsitute with it and it's working for you, then continue. I just wanted you all to have all the facts. Chow!

  • Hi Durotha, I found your channel today and love your videos. I'm new to youtube and I'm 9mths post relaxer ,so I'm still learning how to make good videos and what hair products that work well with my hair. Check out my channel and keep in touch. Thanks

  • I'm using the Stretch Silkening Creme as well and I love it! My hair is in beautiful coils like yours. I'm so excited! Thanks for the video.

  • @erikabloyen you're welcome - glad it helped.

  • DOES THIS PRODUCT LEAVE YORU HAIR HAD/CRUNCHY ?

  • @DestinyNatalia

Initially its a little hard, but not like a brick or anything. I think you'll like it - just try the smallest jar - it's only $7.00 so you won't feel soooo fully committed to the product if you don't like it - it's only 2oz

  • What is the texture of your hair before using the cream? Was it naturally burly or course with no curl? I have a very course, no curl texture and wonder if this cream will help to define some of the natural curl?

  • Hi, my natural hair has a very wavy/coily pattern. a little bigger coily curl than a coffee stirrer. all i can say is try one of the tiny pots - i think they are 2oz for like $7 bucks that way you didn't spend a fortune if it doesn't work for you - maybe twist your hair if it doesn't automatically curl up when you put the product in your hair -or see if your denman brush will kick up your curls with the product - small sections put it on brush....

good luck & let me know if you need help

  • i used the Stretch Silkening Creme

  • how does your hair get curly what do u use the silkening cream or the pudding thing?

  • @dymepyce616

Hi, sorry this response took so long - i didn't even know it was in my inbox - again i apologize.

Well my hair is naturally coily, so when I put the stretch silkening cream on it and work it in by raking w/my fingers it naturally coils right up - all i do is shake my head really hard and then blow it dry with a diffuser and i stand with my head down so that my hair dries with the curls sticking up (bend over at the waist and dry) hope that helps.

  • Your hair looks great, I have to try this product. I hope I'll get the same results

  • I hope it works out for you.

    Good luck & God bless.

  • Your hair is gorgeous! Thanks for the review. I'm transitioning and looking to educate myself on being natural.

  • I know a lot of people don't worry about their hair type, but I am curious as to what yours is? I am considering purchasing the Stretch Silkening Creme today since it is buy one get one free from the site. Also, your hair is extremely cute and I'm trying to achieve that look with my TWA.

  • Hi Missvirgo1978, i was out for the holidays and didn't look at email. i have no idea about hair type - i would guess a 4a/4b - who knows. i love the stretch silkening creme. it made my curls really coily - great product.

    good luck,

    Durotha

  • Its very pretty! I love it... but Im scared of Miss Jessie's stuff.. I've heard so many bad reviews from sista's that are not of a biracial background ie the stuff doesnt work on hair that is 4a 4b kinky NAPPY hair... I will check out some other videos and see what I can find out!

    Thanks

  • I'n not biracial and it works for me - it works well - i haven't done it lately -i've just been wearing it wavy and put up in 2 like french rolls.

don't be afraid - you'll love it for real.

    Doe

  • also, i have between 4a and 4c hair - very coily/kinky VERY!

  • Hi Doe,

I am trying this product this weekend. I applied it yesterday and got the same results as you and I had the same reaction. I loved it yesterday. HOWEVER, I woke this morning to flakes or junk on my hair. I hadn't used anything else. I am wondering if I use too much. I washed out and gonna re-apply today. What do you think?

  • i didn't wake up to white flakes in my hair at all - hmmm. did you go to sleep with your hair wet maybe?

I always dried my hair completely b4 bed. every morning i would run water thru it, shake it all out and re dry - i use a diffuser AND i started drying my hair upside down so that my curls stand up - it's pretty cool - try it sometime. oh if you have thick hair dry time is like at least 20mins.

    good luck

    Doe

  • maybe there is something you can do with it now, just get the small jar - experimentation baby, experimentation.

    it's all in the journey.

    love ya,

    Doe

  • Thanks for the shout out. The product seems to work very well on your hair. When you wet your hair do you reapply the stretch cream?

  • Hi Freckles2720

after i wash and condition then rinse out conditioners (all in the shower) i apply my leave in conditioners oils, etc... then i applied the Stretch silkening cream starting at the nape/back of my head and finger raked/combed it into my hair. i did this all the way to the front - i was immediately impressed! when i first applied it to the back it instantly stretched out my hair - what a trip! can't say enough good stuff about the product - IT WORKS! and LASTS LONG.

    Doe

  • when i wet my hair each day i DO NO reapply the product and i didn't use an excessive amount. i bought the 2oz jar and still had at least 1/4 of the jar left.

  • That is really cute, did you braid your hair and then apply it?

  • Hi Ruaqtpi2,

i did it to freshley shampooed hair. see my commet to freckles it tells how i achieved this - my hair is pretty wavy/coily when it's wet with nothing on it but this stuff just stretched it out and it's stayed this way since friday afternoon. everyday i rewet and shake out my curls and dry it with my blowdryer and diffuser. thats it!
