oh my goodness, mantidae is my favorite arthropod family! i love the painting of the mantis with the baby... since childhood I have thought that a praying mantis was my real mum. dunno what the significance of the mantis is to lou barlow, but this video made my day.

I saw him last nite in L.A., front row singing my ass off to this song. After the song finishes, lou looks at me & says "you actually know the lyrics? I don't think I ever heard anyone sing this song."
