Must admit they look hillarious when sheered. We're getting into a situation over in the UK of a lack of pro sheep sheerers. People have started contracting work out for Aussie sheerers. It seems the honourable age old profession is dying out.
the llamas in this particular video were part of a herd of 17 llamas seized by Lewis County Washington authorities as part of an significant animal cruelty case. Much of what you see are patches of bare skin the direct result of hair loss due to malnutrition, lice, mites, and internal parasites. Well shorn llamas.
I appreciate the loss of the art of shearing. Many professional shearers from down under travel to the states to shear alpacas and sheep in what is literally their off season.
