The problem with diagnosis and drugs is that psychiatrists dont know shit about the brain. As well as the side link in red, on psychiatrists and MDs validating the fact there are absolutely no tests to prove any mental disorder is the result of a biochemical/medical abnormality.

The first thing you said was that there were tests for neurotransmitter related depression. There is not. That debate is within the realm of science. And the answer is - no test. The genetic component theory is not a test. Any diagnoses is based on opinion only. Regardless of the terminology used.

So the re-educating is of the public, to let them know that the chemical imbalance theory is a theory, not a test. The professionals are well aware of this. They would have to stick a syringe into your brain in order to meaure neurotransmitters (not nuro - neuro) and that is outside of the fact the entire neurotransmitters 'creating' depression is but a theory. In fact, the person who developed that theory, Candace Pert, later recounted and said the public had been mislead. And those are the facts.

There are roots to why so many of our bodies are physiologically or psychologically imbalanced in this day & age. Our enviroment water, air, food are corrupted. 1) there is no medical test to prove any child has bipolar, ADHD or any other psychiatric disorder 2) there are non drug, non harmful medical solutions 3) The drugs prescribed for kids are deadly according to international drug regulatory agencies around the world, and this is not our opinion, this is fact. Including, suicide, homicide, heart attack, stroke, sudden death, mania, psychosis and more.

Even the head of the APA admits this. Even psychiatrists admit this. There are no such tests in existence and this is common knowledge at this point. Drugs change behavior - whether street drugs or prescribed drugs. If someone does cocaine and acts differently this does not mean they had a 'cocaine imbalance'.

Considering people are terrified to actually say they're depressed and feel like killing themselves or hear voices, how is it ever supposed to get better? I guess your organization would not want to assist my son, He is someone that was on treatment plan and was never to be removed from it, like his father, step mom and the new psychiatrist did. My son ended up in prison at age 15. he is now 16 and set to move in with male adults who may have his same sentence of 3 X 30 years, 90, or maybe they have 3 life terms. They will move him 09 09 2012. he will be 18 then, he is paying for someone elses crime. Who will hear my cries

My mom was put on abt 20 diff psych drugs (at same time) by 2 major mntl hosps -she was very ill bc of it - I knew it, cldnt do anything abt, was traumatizing I was 20 yrs old - psych drug caused friend to lose eyesite & w/in 3 days & heartattack 4th day - I tried a psych drug 4 a week (cldnt even work while on this drug) bc physicians profit off psych drgs said I had mntl probs, not health - later I was hospitalized 4 untreated hlth prob - psychiatry targets women & children mainly

We live in a world today where people get into conflict and call the cops or anonymous hotline to the mental health dept, child services just to claim a parent or nemesis has a chemical imbalance. You tell them the address, say they are a danger to themselves or others and it will prompt a visit to the reported person's home. It creates a record in a database that stigmatizes the reported person FOR LIFE. Every child/adult should complete the free psychiatric living will offered by CCHR.org.

I do think that the CCHR has an important part to play in seeing that psychiatric abuses and excuses are exposed, as in the mass poisoning of millions of children to conform in the classroom, and of the continuing abridgements to civil rights, in the name of treatment. I do cringe to think of psychiatry as that of social engineer, with the altering of the individual to alter the social. However, consensual-contractual psychiatry should be any adult's right- out of one's own pocket!

You can't tell off the whole idea of help. My sister suffered from a bad depression, and they helped her so much, that she can live a normal life. She loves the pills for it. I do agree, that not all are doing their job all that well. If you have that much control of humans life, then you should be able to make the right call - and don't suck all the life of that patient. I'm going to take this education, and I will try to change my ways, so that human-rights are always my first priority :)

No one should be deprived of their basic human rights. Psychiatrists commit crimes daily across the planet that would never be considered acceptable against a "normal" person. A psychiatrist can declare someone "crazy" and get away with murder. This has got to stop.

You can refuse any treatment in a regular medical hospital even food as your choice.

But in Psychiatric hands you can not refuse torture or permanently crippling "treatments".
