@aidanM92 Painkiller reminds of Serious sam yes, only difference is that you won't find health potions instead you find souls. And you can use special cards that you can gain from each level that boosts you by pressing E.

HL is a better game overall but i did have a LOT of fun on painkiller, i would say painkiller has more replay value though because of the scoring system, i dunno why most games these days dont have a high score table of some kind, its like they dont want us to replay games to beat a old score but rather just want us to finish it asap and buy the next game they have made.. twats lol

well for me the story didn't matter that much, what sucked with overdose was just the feel to it. It tries to be so many things but isn't really good at any of them.

The weapons are weak, and somehow have that kinda cheapness to them, where it's just no fun blasting things to pieces like with the painkiller 1 shotgun or minigun. The bosses are waay to easy and the one-liners that you hear every once in a while just don't fit.. imo it's like this: poor painkiller + serious sam knockoff=baad game

true.... the first painkiller was just so damn satisfying.... the physics where wonderfully over the top, blasting waves upon waves of enemys into oblivion never got old, and there were some amazing "wtf" settings. also, graphics on the first one where nearly as good as on overdose, while overdose takes something like 75% more time to load.
