It emphasized each movement she made, instead of the overall structure, which can be seen through how the people clap after each trick, rather than after each whole performance... or maybe it's just a bad audience, because I think in ballet, you're not supposed to clap until the end of each performance.

It's very beautiful, I remember my mom telling me about this, because it was her favorite story, about the butterfly lovers, but this doesn't seem like a ballet... because I think ballets usually focuses on the overall performance with much emphasis on the emotional portrayal through dancing, instead of each individual trick, which was what this was more like... Acrobatics...

i love this. but the thing about it is that this isn't a ballet. sure she has pointe shoes on and she has clearly had training in classic ballet. but this is a ballet. it's more gymnastics.

Ok so check this out. She is doing a PROMENADE, EN POINTE, ON HIS HEAD. It's like, fairly impossible for many, many professional dancers to promenade en pointe, let alone on somebody's HEAD. Wow. Not meaning to take any "credit" from mainstream ballet, but this is the new age, and these guys have put much more than pretty faces, history and a reputation in, they've put their entire lives into it, which is more than what you could say about ballet today.
