George is the most undreestemated beatle patti was FUCKING beautyful i love all the beatles they put an end to the elvis era elvis was good but the babyboomer generation took over with new ideas
I'm seriously offended that a Nickelback song came up in the search results when I looked for this song. Apparently it's called "something in your mouth". HOW could music fall so far?
Love the beatles and love this song but man have u heard Elvis sing this song?...i know it's the Beatles song but I am sorry Elvis did it better, I guess that's why he is called the KING.
So beautiful. One of those rare love songs that doesn't say specifically " I love you" but it's pretty much implied. Sweet, lovely, timeless, wish someone felt like that about me :)
Yes, this is Patti Boyd, Harrison's muse for whom he wrote this song for. She was his wife for sometime and then was wooed by Eric Clapton by songs that he wrote for her such as Layla and Wonderful Tonight. She's gorgeous.
Ah gee, I thought this was Frank's 1979 version from Trilogy! That's the definitie version. This mature man reflects on a relationship that has endured- burnished by the years it continues to fascinate him. I especially like when he sings 'You're asking me will my love growwww...Well I don't knowwww, no I don't knooowwwww...You stick around Jack! It might show...' When Frank did the song the second time it was more poignant, more final and complete. The Beatles were dreamy, trippy, very 60s.
I saw Paul McCartney perform this at Hyde Park last month. I cried, it was so atmospheric, a song I never thought I would hear live. There were pictures of George too, it was so special. Stupid Eric stealing Pattie away from George.
I read that Taylor was in London while Beatles were working on white album. They collaborated with each other a few times. But when George wrote Something! he took the first line from Taylors song. That comes from Taylors site
This song is a classic - it's about love folks with someone special - nothing more nothing less. Forget the conspiracy theories - especially the one about Satan - what are you on!
Actually my favorite Beatle was Ringo Starr and I think maybe the song is of a hit that helps to get you through the night. Better than a smack in the face.
George Harrison told one of his old friends (a Hare Krishna devotee called Shyamsundar) that this song was actually written about Krishna. George told this friend how he had to sing something in the way she moves rather than he (Krishna) moves..so that people wouldn't think he was a puff! Many of George's songs, especially on the albums All things must pass and Living in the material world, were influenced by his involvement with Krishna consciousness and Krishna conscious philosophy.
One of the best songs I have ever heard. In my opinion, it is way better than rap, than hip hop, R&B... Of course, every style has a great song, but this is above all, for it has an unique style.
And of course Layla was written about Pattie Harrison, George's wife, whom Eric was having an affair with and ended up married to. Seems she has the honor of inspiring at least 2 awesome songs. :)
Incorrect. Patti harrison had 3 not 2 epic love songs written for her. You are forgetting "Wonderful tonight" by clapton also. She should feel so honered.
What can I say ....? Another brilliant song from the Beatles. I know younger people can't understand what made the Beatles so loved and so admired , but if you could imagine your favorite group having a top ten hit with every sigle song , you might get it.
Great , I'm not a nastlgic kind of guy , but it is cool to know that good music can be appreciated by everyone and not just whatever is the flavor of the week is being the end all. I always say enjoy many forms of music and don't get caught up in what is cool and what isn't. Yea I'm real sure you need my life lessons to get on. HA HA
i heard this song when i was littler.. now- just today i hurd this song on the radio! i finally found out who it is! my fave band! this is a beautiful song. I love u George!
Pon take it easy man. The guy dont like your idea of a romantic song dedication SO WHAT haaha
no need to go wacko!! And icy ,i really do want to go to your island get me one of them hot women(dont worry ill actually play the song when i dedicate it to her) hahah
In my opinion "dedicating" a song by the Beatles on youtube is lame, especially since you are not A) singing the song or B) playing the song
since you have a problem speaking in only ONE language when you write............para de tirar una pataleta porque alquien dijo que tu 'idea' fue estupido. pareces un mamao
Ok I´ll speak in English you prick. If I want to dedicate a song to my girlfriend, my dog, or a cockroach then I will do it. It has nothing to do with you at all.
Grow up you immature fuckwit I see you are only 20 and have a lot of growing up to do.You´re a twat from Puerto Rico an island that has given us Ricky Martin, so shut the fuck up! when you have been to Liverpool, understand our culture, and understand love, then you can comment. Here is a little bit of wisdom from the 20yr old...
--In life, sometimes people won't do or like the same things as you. They might have different beliefs or opinions. ITS OK and you shouldn't feel offended or hurt if someone disagrees with you. --
Now, i'm going to admit, i would very much like to go to your island someday because i dont know enough about it to make judgments. (notice: i have not previously insulted or even mentioned anything about your nationality) But i would suggest that you take a visit to MY island as well. And until you understand our culture. You shouldn't make comments about Puerto RIco. I'm done talking about this. It is a stupid thing for someone to get pissy about.
Ringos wife is most beautiful in this vid. Pattie is cute, Linda is natural and Yoko is kind of unique :)

Maybe its just me but it doesnt sound like a complete song well lyrics wise.
cause when he says "i dont wanna leave her now, you know how i believe in how"
just seems like somthing that rhymes with those sentences would come in for a quick sec then the guitar part. in my opinion it would feel complete.
