@TheRavenPL try and scratch with the high pitch parts of the track or vocals so you get a crisp sound and its easier to hear what your actually scratching. use samples that you know so its easy to hear what part of the track or scratch your on. use the 'CUE' button to set a start point so you dont have to reset the sample back to the beginning. SLOW THE SAMPLE DOWN SO ITS EASIER TO CONTROL WITH YOUR MOUSE COS YES I DO ONLY USE A MOUSE AND KEYS FOR MY TRACKS AND SCRATCHING

Someone please help me. Everyone keeps talking about changing the Keyboard shortcuts. I went to Config on VirtualDJ and there's nothing that says keyboard shortcuts or anything. All it says is the Sound Setup and Advanced Options (DJ Pro).

listen go into the configuration- keyboard shortcuts- click add new and set the value 0 (Z) for the left, 2048 (X) for the center, 4096 (C) for the right. so zxc. for the crossfader.

Hi, a question: Did you have the scratching automatically linked to the fader controls? i.e. Scratch Forward = fader Middle / Scratch Backward = fader RIGHT ?

How can you do it? I have the OEM version of Virtual DJ that l got with my Virtual DJ controller, but l can't automated the fader to complement my scratching.

ok, go to config > keyboard shortcuts and them scroll down to the crossfader ones. on the right is says the keyboard shortcuts, i personally use the ones labelled "crossfader" and "crossfader(4096)" and its good to change the less useful ones to crossfader(+2048) and crossfader (-2048)

hey ,why dont u use set keyboard shortkuts to play pause? I never use the mouse 4 anything except scratching. Im a vdj turntablist too. I fade with my left hand..so my cuts sound different than urs. I do a lot of things on the disc. I can do dicing. and many more tricks. I will upload my recordings soon. I am planning to try scratching on a table top with smooth powder spread on it..u know, just an experiment :)
