yeah, 26lbs on the stock turbo isnt enough to beat the f430, even with race. you'd only beat it on the 1/4 mile. you'd need an FP green, or red, or black. I have a red @ 30psi on 93 octane pushing 500whp and i walk f430's. the f430 isnt really known for its straight line, but its an AWESOME track day car. any modestly tuned evo will rip a stock f430
this evo8 used to be mine it had the stock turbo in it i ran 26psi of boost but i needed to use racegas vp109 from a dig the ferrari wouldnt even stand a chance thats why my friend in the ferrari never wanted to race from a standstill.

well its not only the weight but the performance of the cars. the ferrari has a high compression 4.3 liter v8 while the evo only has a inline 4 with a turbo and the f430 also has some modification to it. i kno a lot of people would say that a turbo is more efficient in the higher rpms but the ferrari with with the mods is probably making more whp, plus the equally distributed weight which gives it excellent traction, and it weighs around the same if not less than a evo.
the f430 only has exhaust what else performance ? i know the f430's engine, Murcielago's has V12 engines and 6192cc (6.1L) and they make 570 BHP but u see a V6 supra kicking its ass.! its not that the f430 engine is bigger its all about performance, the evo could have an inline V4 with a turbo but with a little $ and a big ass GTR35 turbo kit catback exhaust intakes, new intercooler, tuning here and there for sure it would kick the hell out the F430 !
practically stock evo hanging right with a ferrari...... put a fp red on it with e85 and put bus length's on the ferrari. - it had the stock fmic and everything.
watch top gear . Evo 10 vs ferrari .. or think they have it in the "EVO 10 vs impressa) not sure which one , in of these episode they have track race and the evo is keeping up with that gallardo (track has turns and stuff so handling counts, not just a straight drag race)
It wasnt a gallardo. It was the murc. the Evo can definitely keep up. But on small courses. on larger courses any supercar like the F430 or the Gallardo would have an advantage.
You must not like your evo if your running 26psi without racegas or alch. The car comes from mitsu runnin 19psi for a reason. And even if you get a retune your tuner won't set you past

well I would not say better built, An Evo is a Rally Car so Its design and suspension are a lot different, like this Ferrari is a Circuit Race car. so you can't really compare the two. However yeah both are wonderful fast cars.

ferrari has bigger rev range and power band and paddle shift. quicker changes, dont have to change as often and more horsepower from stock but otherwise great effort by the evo.
believe it or not, the evo did pretty damn well with moderate mods takin on a $100,000 ferrari....idk if that really was 26psi, but a little more boost or a bigger FMIC and he might've took him

i love evo's but i will take the ferrari anyday anytime. its a better built car and that look and sound soo good and still perform like a champ but wouldnt mind having a evo at all tho. evo's one of the best bang for the bucks in the world period.

well I would not say better built, An Evo is a Rally Car so Its design and suspension are a lot different, like this Ferrari is a Circuit Race car. so you can't really compare the two. However yeah both are wonderful fast cars.
but I think I would agree taking the Ferrari would be the better choice. for either personal interest in the car, or the Value of the car itself.

yes i agree with you 100%. both are wonderful cars and honestly tho if i can afford a ferrari no matter what anyone says i will get one. The driving experience you get from a ferrari making 400hp is soo much different than the experience you get when you driving a evo with 400hp. plus the sound those ferrari's make...well i dont have to tell you.

ferrari has bigger rev range and power band and paddle shift. quicker changes, dont have to change as often and more horsepower from stock but otherwise great effort by the evo.

believe it or not, the evo did pretty damn well with moderate mods takin on a $100,000 ferrari....idk if that really was 26psi, but a little more boost or a bigger FMIC and he might've took him

The evo raced in this vid has a stock turbo, and stock motor.
Put no more than 15k in an evo, and it would make this ferrari look silly.
Put a huge amount of money into an F430: get 5hp, .3 trq, and shave off 2 lbs.
Ferrari has been producing motors with a fair amount of cylinders, rediculously high piston compression ratios, and little displacement.
