Not sure what the comparison is to Little Gloomy other than the word Gloomy. I believe that Ruby Gloom was actually created as a tshirt design that then developed into books and now animation.
Yes I've watched it. Little Gloomy is a comic about a girl who lives with her monster friends in an old victorian mansion on the outskirts of Spooksville. It's a comic that's been out for around 10 years. So it predates Ruby Gloom by years.
Ruby gloom is not emo... the characters are based on a gothic/victorian art style. The show is trying to teach people to look past the surface of people and see them for who they really are. The only thing emo about that show is maybe Misery.
