Good point made well. Have you read 'The Uglies?" These future citizens receive 'feeds'--emails, im's, videos, news, etc. from eye/brain implants. They can turn feeds on or off while they socialize or do whatever.
I think people's comments below are an attempt to make excuses but I think you guys got it right on the money. Well done. Very interesting and engaging style. Isn't it kind of ironic though that you put this on youtube? And I'm sure you guys go on youtube just as much as everyone else so isn't that kind of hypocritical. Unless I'm wrong and you don't use youtube. Am I wrong?
my, eric certainly read that with feeling. sorry. personally, i use youtube as something to further my social interaction. one of the things i have in common with my nephew is that we both like funny videos on youtube we laugh and laugh sitting at the computer, sharing videos back and forth. for me, youtube has replaced watching hours of america's funniest home videos rather than attending concerts, sporting games (ha) or interacting with friends. great video though.
well umm, i can get wer ur coming from, but i just like youtube cause u can see things on here, that happened a long time ago, like a dane cooke performance u couldnt go to, u can see it on here. I know socialization in person is good, but i come here for laughs or good clips.
As an internet addict, I relate to this. I feel like my free time, of which I do not have much, is absorbed in browsing the web. It really keeps me from doing a lot of stuff that I'd do otherwise, like hanging out with my family. Alas!
theres tons of reasons i love youtube. some of the funniest things ive ever seen is on youtube. with this video site, i would have been deprived of a lot of good laughs. also, being the shy person i am, i like the delayed interaction between people so i don't really talk face to face. this is why i youtube!
YouTube is a place to go when looking for adventure, comedy, and answers. I visit YouTube to listen to music when i don't feel like usin my iPod or buying songs that i don't already have on iTunes. It's free. You can also look up scenes from shows taht aren't playning anymore that you can't see on television. It's not like we are being brainwashed from it. That's like asking people why they use myspace. Because it's fun.
Youtube is amazing. Its a portal for information and entertainment. If you need to find a video clip about anything its there. Its like an encyclopedia of video's. Its not like everyone is there 24/7 but its more of a pasttime when ur bored at home. Like really its not that bad.
