  • If people think that the Laudrup brothers were terrific in this game, they cannot forget about Jay Jay Okocha in this game, he was fantastic!

PS. Is there anywhere I can download this song from? I love it!

  • @TheKelz93 Glad you like, sorry i'm getting back with you so late, I can send it to in an email. :)

  • At the moment all African national sides have a shocking lack of attacking midfielders and playmakers. We have strikers, holding mids, and defenders in abundance, but no attacking mids in the mold of Jay Jay Okocha. If you look at the successful teams around the world they all have those type of playmakers. It was telling that the best playmaker on the Cameroonian team was Samuel Eto'o. Your striker cannot be your best playmaker if you expect to win.

  • @unak78 Agreed! Soccer in Africa is not the same anymore.

  • Nigeria 98 in my own discretions no was the best team with world top class players ever producted in the Land. I wish our governments across Africa see the same telant in new generation. there are still kanus, jay jays, michael Eisens, gyans, Eto,os and etc in the continent but, no one giving them opportunity to play.

  • ooooooo 1998 how can i forget that year, france 98, god time is fly´n away sou fast

  • we have the players we have the supporters we have good stadiums but where is the good results?

  • I still remember that game.. Okocha was very good, but the Laudrup brothers were just awesome!

  • Super Eagles for life

  • The Nigerians is just short of Davor suker in their lineup.

  • Hey Jayjay quick question. Were Taribo West & Finidi George the only famous Ijaw footballers to play for the Super Eagles?

  • I dont know bro, I do some research and get back wit u on that! Peace!

  • @tomatomadj yeah they are

  • ol boy wat song is dis

  • the laudrup bros killed us that game,we came unprepared and we got spanked.end of story, naija all day

  • Good music

  • denmark should have lost the last game of qualifiers for the world cup of 1998 here in greece at least 2-0... but they were too lucky like they were with nigeria

  • Lucky? You call 4-1 lucky? We outplayed the Nigerians in that game, they were already thinking about Brazil in the quarters. Schmeichel and the Laudrup-brothers taught them a lesson they'll never forget.

We almost beat Brazil too. Lucky...

  • Sweet video

  • for me the reason of the result this match is only for one player "peter smichael" a legend in manchester united

  • well I still think Nigeria is one of the best countries in the world. Pity they might not make it for the next world cup in south Africa. Thats what you get when fools are at the help of affairs in Africa. I hear their coach is as stupid as their president.

  • what happened to nigeria anyway? they used to be such a dangerous team , full of pace and skill

  • Nigeria used to be good, but in Nigeria, the term progress is a foreign concept. The Federation didnt build on the success of the team, they started hiring lame coaches to do the job. Plus the current Nigerian players have a long way to go, before they can be considered amatuers in the game of football. Point is, Nigeria is not a good team anymore.

  • its a shame

  • I think the current Nigerian team needs to be disbanded, dismantled and if possible disembowel. There are disgrace not only to nigeria, but to africa and the soccer world at large, they have no passion and most importantly have had a miscall on their lives, most of them including obafemi should at most be taxi drivers, Nigeria cannot beat mozambique then we have serious problems. I call for a complet transformation for the National team!!!!

  • @jayjayolagoke you said it best ,all the players need to be fired, they are playing for the money, not with passion ,look how bad we plaayed in the world cup 2010.

  • Greetings from Serbia and Partizan Football Club...Thank you Taribo West

  • Taribo West!!!! A talented dribbler, especially for defender, dont see to many of those nowadays.

  • he wasnt just a dribbling defender my countryman lol... he was a dribblin CENTER BACK lol. 1 of th best in my opinion

  • Taribo! one word, legend! Other than Joey Yobo we have no top class centre backs. Shittu had one good tournament in the last ANC but he's average, whilst Nwaneri is abysmal

  • YES!!! Absolutely!!!, dont think we'll ever have another one like him, one of a kind.

  • JayJay what song is this bros?

  • The name of the song is Ka To d'Aiye a y' Opin by King Sunny Ade. Glad you like the music bro.

  • Alongside these players the danish team had a great mixture of experienced players and some upcoming stars, like Martin Jørgensen and Ebbe Sand.

  • Some of you say that something went wrong in this game. Yeah... The danish team was by far the best. You're talking about some of the best nigerian players but I think you're forgetting who was playing on this danish team. MIchael Laudrup, one of the best players ever, his younger brother Brian, one of the best foreign players in scottish football and playing for teams like Bayern Munich. And then of course, the goalkeeper, Peter Schmeichel, in those years he was considered the best in the game.

  • 3 of the best african players of there time for sure

  • I hold Eto'o, Makoun, Adebayor, Kalou, Drogba, Zaki, Zidan and McCarthy in higher regards and soon Obi and Martins will trumph this never-been never-was and never-will be trio.

  • And of course the best one of them all, Patrick Viera.

  • whats the song ?

  • The song is from Nigeria it is called K'a to Daiye by King Sunny Ade

  • classic nike jersey. kinda resemble the same structure of the 08-09 arsenal away kits.

  • gr8

  • whats the name of this song

    ?

    please send me

  • TARIBOOOOOOOOOOOO WESTTTTTTTTTtt

  • TARIBO WEST!!!!

  • Lol - when ever kanu plays at the reebok, theres allways this guy behind me who shouts

    : come on nwankwo!

  • The music is by King Sunny Ade

  • EXCELLENT MUSIC.. WHO IS IT..?

Gracias.

  • France 98 is the best world cup that i have ever watched

  • and spain-nigeria the best match i've ever seen in a world cup

  • What a bad day!

You can't imagine how many people the Nigerian Football Team inspired, they were super competitive in a unimaginable FIFA level, with great's such as Kanu, Okocha, West, etc! I'm not going to say they wasted it, but i'm just going to reply by saying they missed a perfect opportunity to compete for the World Cup!

  • whao! i love the music and i wish i have a copy.

  • I remember this game, i was very sad for the result.

However i think rufai would have been better.

  • teh music lool!!!

  • very sad day!!

something went wrong...they didn't play nigerian play.

  • yeah, i wish Nigeria beat Denmark, they should have, they deserve to win the World Cup in 98 and bring Pele's prediction to life when he said before the end of the century an African team would win the World Cup.
