I really like this. It's so greatly pieced together and edited, I especially like the part with Dan/Laurie in the explosion.
This trailer is definitely up to par with the "The End Is The Beginning Is The End" trailer. Perfect song-- it matches the bleak/dark tone Watchmen has, and at the beginning it encompasses the nostalgic feel as well. :] Good job, very well suited.
The song choices were synonymous with the ones in the movie, which was also cool. :D
great job!!! it just all works so well and fits the tone of the movie. with the darkness.. i didnt realize how revolutionary that movie honestly is until now. and the imagine cover is great in its own light. but for the reasons that john lennon wrote it. it fails to compare. but it is apc. and they made it thiers. i love em both for what they are. ight!
The original is wonderful, of course, and can't be replaced, but I like APC's spin on it. I think it fits the tone of Watchmen better -- adds a dark, ironic tone to the whole thing.
Good work man! I like what you did with the sound effects. If I may offer a small suggestion it would be to double check your VU meter when adding in your soundtrack bed (it was coming in a little hot). I don't know what program you used to cut this with, but it seems like you put a lot of love and effort into it. Great Job!

I liked it at the beginning but once the horrible "imagine" cover came on i turned the volume down. If ur gonna put that song in a vid, put lennon's cause that was a disgrace of a cover. even if it mixed better with the mood of the film.
Amazing job. They used some great songs in the trailers, but this would have been ideal. An original song made by an icon covered by an awesome band, just as Watchmen was created by an icon and brought to screen by an awesome director and cast.
Brilliant. Loved the song and editing. My only complaint though was that it seemed to stretch out around the middle of the video. Shave off some seconds and this might as well be an official trailer.
That's the most sinister sounding cover of a song I've ever heard. Great choice! Also, great editing. I would have mistaken it for an official trailer.
Its hard to believe this movie came out almost two years ago. very amazing video though

What was wrong with John Lennon?
AModernMajorGeneral 3 years ago
Nothing whatsoever, just felt this version had a bleaker tone to it and more suited to the Watchmen.
SimianJoe 3 years ago
I agree I actually think Lennon's version would not have worked it need that modern cover to really capture the theme of Watchmen. Brilliantly done!
