  • "22 centimeters in diameter," you are either canadian or british

  • hi i just made your apple pie it is so good! but i have a problem while making it. when i was rolling it it braked more than yours like a lot more i dont know why :( did it need it to be molded more time or did it need it more butter?? i dont know what happen please give me an advice for next time :)

  • @lakliams hello! It is a crumbly pastry, make sure it is chilled enough and always when you use pastry it is good to have a cold work surface and cold hands, pastry will melt and be difficult in a warm place as the butter just starts to melt. So I think next time try chilling it for longer, plenty of flour on rolling pin and work surface... let men know and hope this helps XX

  • amazingly yummy :)

  • hi i want to have a go at making this just wondering though, with the apples do you need to add any "sauce" like apple sauce or something so that its not dry inside? x

  • @TheYummymummyful hello, good question! but answer is no. There is enough juice that comes out of the apples when cooking to make a sauce. If you add extra it will make the pastry soggy! X

  • but how many american degrees :(

  • @mariasalas0440 Hello it's 374 F / gas 5 / or 190 c hope that helps everyone and thanks for asking the question ! X

  • Thanks so much for the apple pie video it helped me a lot! i agree, with you, there is n other way to show someone you love them :D

  • i like pie :)

  • I always have a hard time rolling out my dough, so I decided to use MARGARINE instead of butter and leave the dough in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 hours and I had NO PROBLEMS. I've made this pie last week and I'm making it right now. I just thought I'd share that hint with you all who are having a hard time rolling out the dough like I was. This recipe is too great to struggle with the dough. Let me know if that works for you all. Otherwise, I'd use plastic wrap to keep it tamed (lol)!!

  • @april2026 Hello, Thanks for your comment :) This is very interesting as margarine is softer than butter, but maybe it's the leaving it to chill for so long and then when yo roll it the soft but cold margarine holds shape better? So thank you for sharing this :) X

  • @carolineartiss

It could be that I'm leaving the dough in the refrigerator longer. I'm just so glad margarine works because butter is $4 while margarine is only 88 cents. My family wants me to make this pie at least two or three times a month. Thank you so much for this recipe!!! My family is so thankful.... and so am I!!!

  • @april2026 That's awseome, thanks so much for letting me know!!! Big hello to you and your family! X

  • mmmmm... warm apple pie!

  • @mbcyclery it's goooooood! X

  • you do know that if you wish to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe, do you?

  • yes a women in the kitchen thats what im taking about

  • It's so easy! I will definitely try it!!!

    thx!

  • Mmmm yummy. I don't like apple pie though ;)

  • It's true what she says about the apple pie as a great way to show your love. This stuff works. First time baker, a month ago I made your apple pie for the cutest girl on our first date. That night she showed her appreciation in full! Thanks, I'm going to try your Malaysia next time. I hope she'll like that too.

  • @estherlouisehowe lol! I know - Great Question!! OK so way I do it is, cut the first slice out - it normally is a bit of a mess then you can slice it and get the rest out easily a step at a time! Hope that helps! x

  • @moneys97 Great Question!! OK so way I do it is, cut the first slice out - it normally is a bit of a mess then you can slice it and get the rest out easily a step at a time! Hope that helps! x

  • Lol XD there a dog XD

  • I actually made this yesterday. I didn't quite manage to roll out the dough and get it into the dish, so I kinda had to just put it in there and shape it out with my hands. But it tasted GREAT! :D

  • @MapleHue hello!! Thanks so much for letting me know :) So happy it came out good for you - I love this recipe!!! x

  • @MapleHue

I did that, too, the first couple of times I made it. However, I made it again last night and I roll the dough in between two sheets of plastic wrap (lol). It definitely did the trick. Caroline made rolling out the dough look so easy, didn't she (lol)??? Like you said, it was still good. My family LOVES it!
