Can't wait for this amplifier! If it sounds good, I will definitely sell my JCM 800 and buy it. My 800 doesn't have quite enough gain, hope you guys get this amp to crank like it did on Appetite!
@mattstank Less Gain means More You and More Guitar in the sound. I have been using a pretty low gain setting lately that gives me just enough crunch to play GnR sort of stuff i really drives you to play better and sounds allot more alive and dynamic
@lordakamai Yeah, but I can't play certain kinds of hard rock and metal because of the lack of gain. TOO much distortion drowns your tone, yes. And I am all about the tone, that's why I got a single channel 800 in the first place. And I already play unplugged everyday since I don't have a practice amp. But I just wish it had a little more gain so I could play a wider range of music, specifically metal.
@mattstank yea you've got a point but i would certainly try to keep the JCM800 and try to save up for the AFD100 (unless ofcourse the AFD100 sounds really similar but i doubt that) the JCM 800 is an awesome amp for what it does
Cool and Slash's solo album is out on 04/06/10!!!

Isn't that one of the most high gain amps in history?
