  • I am a Kirby dealer. Based on my proof book, it's the Kirby Model 505, produced from 1945-1947. This is the first Kirby with a belt lifter. It was the second one to bear James Kirby's name.

  • plug it in, I bet it will kick your vacuum cleaner's ass as it sits, might need to replace the belt though. I agree with the other posts, late 40's.

  • its either a 1949 or 1959, i had one traded in one time ( i work for kirby ) i dont have my proof book on hand or i would tell ya exactly

  • Judging by the bag, looks like a 509. Those were made in 1949.
