This pianist does an excellent job of this piece but Mozart once said "my music should flow like oil" and I felt this was lacking a certain smoothness. Also when this piece was written, the pedal on the piano was just being invented and so to use the pedal Mozart would have had to lift his knee. Therefore, minimal use of the pedal is vital in the performance of the piece. Nevertheless, a really outstanding performance :)

You simply can not fault anything about his performance, but ofcourse there has to be an 'odd' person here and there (like you), who can not help themselves but to say something negative when in actuality you know he played it 'perfectly', so please don't post a negative comment and then end it with 'outstanding performance'- what a contradiction! Why are pianists so judgemental of others?

small audience deserved much louder applause : some german fellows hound in on the jewish last name and say that the last accords fell asleep on the artist , and that A. Brendel would have done better.

Muss schon geil sein, so gut Klavier spielen zu können. Andererseits hätte ich auch keine Lust, dafür jeden Tag fünf Stunden am Flügel zu sitzen. So ein Leben würde ich nicht führen wollen. Ist schon eine super Performance, nur das Ende gefällt mir nicht so. Das sollte ausdrucksstark und machtvoll sein. Stattdessen scheint er fast einzuschlafen... das macht Brendel sehr viel besser.
