I'm not one to respond to self-loathing much, but if you ever get to read this I want you to know I love your work. Your newer episodes are very well written, but your early stuff was much more raw, honest and emotional. The tension between two plastic figures used to keep my friends and I on the edge of our seats, mouths agape. We were all university students, a couple of us law students and we watch only the best, You sir, have always been one of the best.
You should take the earlier episodes as references to how much you have improved as a writer and as a director.
I really enjoy being able to see someone progress in a skill they love and with you and your series it really shines through. You're great at what you do and have spent the time to improve and that in itself is commendable.

I didn't see much of a loophole with the hacks in Blackout. If they had been enabled, they would (to my understanding) perma-ban anyone who tried to leave. If Chaos Theosis and the hack fencers tried to leave their own server, they would ban themselves. In that event, they probably had them turned off. Either that, or they were too lazy to get off their chairs and enable it (I'm looking at you, Adam.)

I think the only one of those that is really a plot hole is the not being banned after the blackout, but it could be that the hack that makes players that quit get banned has to be activated when they enter the game, since they weren't expecting Arbiter or Chief.
I completely agree with you joncjg about how there is a large amount of kids playing online who have grown up around this explicit world, but I hope that people don't think that all kids and teenagers are immature like this. Plot holes that kinda got me are: silentstrike said CT cudnt use hax on the tosser server, which they clearly could, arby n chief had the same cheats as CT last season but brian cud lift the bans.
@Lolzorpantz Arbiter and Chief had earlier versions of the hacks. The ones that Chaos Theosis use are perma ban. Silent Strike was actually working with Chaos Theosis remember? He also let them onto the server.
John man you can take as long as you want to make these episode, because when you think about it you are a one man machine and you make episodes with the quality to be put on TV. I want to say that I've been watching Arby n Chief for awhile and I thoroughly enjoy it. Don't be so hard on yourself about earlier work, in fact some of the first stuff you did was awesome and funny. Plus you've done a great job forming a long storylines with a great blend of humor, dialogue, and Halo action. I also like to give ya a thumbs up for your commentary on modern gaming in the episodes.

I don't buy games for the multiplayer. I buy it for the campaign as well. I'm interested in a good story for entertainment. Not just trying to see who gets the most kills. I mean, I play the multiplayer on all games to try it out, but it's not the main draw for me.
Also, I subbed to Arby and the Chief because the first episodes were funny. The writing has even got more in depth as more character development has happened. I didn't even mind "in LA". Great work, Jon. Keep up the good work.

Actually, Adam is breaking the law. It's illegal to not do something your parents tell you that is within reason. If they said to kill someone, its not a crime to say no. But if they say something like, 'go to bed' or 'do your homework' and you downright refuse, you can get sent to juvy.
In the end it really just depends on how patient people are, where it'll determine as to whether or not they'll continue watching the show from seasons 1-7.

I hate how everyone thinks that kids that play video games online are retarded and spew the first thing that come to mind, its amazing how many adults embody these traits and then think lesser of us for something a few kids have done. When ever I play MW and use a weapon that isn't a sniper I immediately get things like get a life or even somethings that shouldn't be said to anyone.Granted some of us can be aggressive like Adam but I've seen much worse from adults like threatening someones life.

@SuperWaffleMovies I think people that says things like that is because around 80% of all kids are below 13 and have an incredibly high pitched voice who scream about EVERYTHING that goes on. And threaten to scream into their mic if they do not recieve something they say they "deserve"
What kinda makes up for it is when their parents tell them to turn off the Xbox...

@hemir9 yeh some kids can be a be a bit of an ass but if there smart they usually turn off there mics when there parents talk but i have a friend who always leaves his mic on when his parents tell him to go to sleep and at the risk of sounding a bit hypocritical its bloody hilarious of coarse he isn't swearing at them and he is a pretty decent person

Jon, don't ever put down your past episodes up til now. I stumbled on to this, watched an episode from season 4 and then started from the beginning and watched them sequentially. Besides LA, every one had gold to it. You are amazing. You capture the scope of this frontier in a way that no one else has. Excellent social statement mixed with hellafied comedy and lots of room for introspection. PLEASE KEEP GOING BRO!

well most people liked the old episodes more because i liked how you got a new game and you made chief and arbiter and the chief play it and a little refrence to N.X.E but still i like how you're putting more effort into the episodes at the time episode king from season 3 was the longest you made well unless you put ENDGAME in there but they were 4 or 5 parts until you put them all together

Plot holes that kinda got me are: silentstrike said CT cudnt use hax on the tosser server, which they clearly could, arby n chief had the same cheats as CT last season but brian cud lift the bans.

John man you can take as long as you want to make these episode, because when you think about it you are a one man machine and you make episodes with the quality to be put on TV. Look at Two and a Half Men They take along time to put their seasons out and that is a whole team of people. and if you are worried about the first few seasons don't worry about it cause although they didn't have much story they were funny as hell. Also in my opinion you portrayed Adam perfectly. Keep up the Great work

i liked the old episodes jon... i thought those were the best and i wish there were more. Just go back and do those comedy skits. They were funny as hell, and it's a lot healthier than dragging yourself to the computer to make these really long series for 24 hours straight. But do what you think is best. John as far as I'm concerned with the gaps in-between episodes the longer they are the better the end product and even if you made Arby and the chief at a rate of one or more a day people would still cry out for more. Keep up the good work I'm lovin this series.
That being said you should flash out the back story for the head of the hacker clan I mean what do we know about him? Why does he want to do this? Is he an alien? We just don't know.

I want to say that I've been watching Arby n Chief for awhile and I thoroughly enjoy it. Don't be so hard on yourself about earlier work, in fact some of the first stuff you did was awesome and funny. Plus you've done a great job forming a long storylines with a great blend of humor, dialogue, and Halo action. I also like to give ya a thumbs up for your commentary on modern gaming in the episodes.

I don't buy games for the multiplayer. I buy it for the campaign as well. I'm interested in a good story for entertainment. Not just trying to see who gets the most kills. I mean, I play the multiplayer on all games to try it out, but it's not the main draw for me.
Also, I subbed to Arby and the Chief because the first episodes were funny. The writing has even got more in depth as more character development has happened. I didn't even mind "in LA". Great work, Jon. Keep up the good work.

Actually, Adam is breaking the law. It's illegal to not do something your parents tell you that is within reason. If they said to kill someone, its not a crime to say no. But if they say something like, 'go to bed' or 'do your homework' and you downright refuse, you can get sent to juvy.

jon take some rest when you need it, keep making the episodes at the awesome quality they are. in my opinion the earlier episodes were hilarious but the new episodes are of a better quality just less humour, but i dont think that detracts from how good they are, loving the new series :)
