@jshaw2483 don't just use one bait, switch up like start out the morning with some topwater, if you dont get many bites, go to a lipless crankbait, if thats not working switch up and go to a carolina/texas rig worm, if not that then go flip some grass and try different color baits as well, when you start to develop a pattern stick to it and if you're fishing with a buddy have him try to establish another pattern while your fishing yours. hope this helps a little bit.

i use to have the same combo with the duckett rod and the 50th anniversary zillion, it disappeared out of the back of my truck along with 3 other combos in front of academy sporting goods one day on my way to the lake, i learned my lesson though. i got another setup that is pretty close though... i got another duckett rod but this time i opted for a daiwa fuego and turned out to match the rod a little better and performs better with bocas in it.
