Toni and I have been shocked at the uproar that has exploaded over this issue. And, like I said before, I see verbal attacks coming both ways on TV now all the time and it gets to the point of -- who do you believe? To put it simply, I have believed all Americans should have good and reliable healthcare of some sort, and if people are angry because 'they' don't want to pay for it, it's like Toni has said -- we're ALL already paying for it.
that a question that keeps me up many nights worrying .. this thing, this poison, this fear, this greed .. keeps getting stronger and stronger .. but there are at least a small handful of people, like minx and I who will never ever quit fighting.. do I feel these videos alone make a difference? no. Do I think they raise awareness, and make at least a few people think for themselves? yes
and that.. when done with enough passion, with enough people, will make a difference.
This chance for reform has been stopped many times for the same reasons, money. We have a friend at candlelight who has shared his story with us before regarding how his wife had a dangerous pregnancy .They lived in Mexico and received the health care she needed for over a years time, modern compassionate care, at NO cost to them. So it's possible Lexy. We may not have the same luxuries that we Americans have come to expect, but if we sacrifice a little it is possible that Everyone can be treated equally in regards to health and welfare. I think it's worth it.

One of Obama's goals that he set clearly before and after his election was to cut unnecessary waste, those departments and programs that push paper around and collect funds for sometimes silly things. But if big Pharma had a lid on it's inflated prescription prices, it makes sense that that relief would show up in lower costs for the already insured.
We may have the ability Amit, but we are not doing it right. If you are employed or have the cash, insurance is available. If you are unemployed or work part time as I do, insurance is not there,.and you do the best you can, I wish I could say that every American is afforded health care, but that is not true, we simply cannot afford to pay what is needed to be covered..
