  • dosent have the sway that the original has, but with that said damn fine cover.

  • love the original, but man, this captures king crimson in all the right places

  • WHOOOAA ,,, i wish they would have done the entire instrumental section, 'cause this rocks, and that's the best part of the song! I am so happy to have stumbled upon this!

  • hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm in my dreams I thought about tool and King Crimson doing ... stuff... together. Seems like my dreams are about to come true. Who says dreams don't come true? Spooky.

  • wow this is very epic im super impressed and yes ozzy one was terrible

  • there are 4 versions, entombed has recorded it too.

  • This version is a mess. How about instead of wasting his time in this, how about he work on a new Tool album?

  • @eric20ike okay Cartman

  • @pitchshiftergs - haha you're from Macedonia...Earth's shitstain.

  • @eric20ike that's FYROM for you!! Cartman :)

  • @pitchshiftergs - Sorry I don't understand your stupid language.

  • @eric20ike :D that's your language dude... ahh nvm... I see you are trying to turn this into a fight.

  • good cover, but its better the King Crimson,s version :P

  • Can't hear anything special about it.

  • Bullshit

  • April Wine does a nice version .

  • @espejosgigantes was geht denn mit dir?? hitler is schon tot...

  • was this ever released? i cant find it anywhere, and their website isn't great ether. I love this song.

  • now, this is what I call a cover

  • My God, this is the best moment of my life.

  • This is actually Fripp, Belew and Wetton, featuring MJ Keenan.. Does that make it a cover or a remake? Or both? Either way, always pretty difficult to top a forty year old classic..

  • this fuckin sucks

  • i like both tool and king crimson, but this just sounds too....hmmm...it doesnt having any dynamics.

  • this is awesome, sweet cover! Robert Fripp lives 5 minutes away from me, I know he'd be proud :)

  • meh. Where's Mirrors?

  • initially, i was only here to hear the song cus Kanye used it, but as it turns out, this song is sick!

  • i really just wanted to hear maynard belt out this song. i've herd king crimson do it, and nothing will replace is but i really wanted maynard on vocals. i am very satisfied.

  • no thank you

  • Surprisingly good. Usually when this piece is covered, the vocals are a letdown but you did it justice. The only thing I didn't like was when it reached the instrumental part it was like the bottom fell out! Please redo it an the instrumental part in the middle.

  • @Iconoclast444 ...He didn't make this version.

  • I can't wait for dreaming in exile compilation, it will be really great...

  • This is just awful. I love King Crimson, and I used to love Tool (still have a bit of a soft spot). But come on, add a few whistles and sirens and this is pretty much a Jock Jams remix.

  • yea, I really wanna know where those chants came from!!! it's contains so much power no pun intended.. it's the perfect theme music.

  • sampled in KanYe West's new song 'Power'

  • @sneaktip97 I was surprised when he put it in his joint.

  • I wish this cover had more length and lyrics. Everyone can agree that Maynard's voice is what makes this cover worth listening to. His voice is just... legendary.

  • Qué gran mezcla! Escuchar a Fripp y Maynard juntos es increíble, sobre todo esta canción que es una de las mejores de King Crimson! Me encanta como suena cantada por Maynard, le da más fuerza aún a la canción.

  • Cool. Could've been better though... Where's the crazy instrumental mid-section? We just got a small taste! We want more!

  • too many bells and whistle...

  • How bout that Voivod cover? I like it a lot.

  • this is a bit boring and has actually changed the feel

  • I agree with various postings, drums, guitar fantastic, synth voice etc, really does'nt do it, but still a reasonably good cover

  • Don't like the midi orchestra hits... D:

  • ... why?

  • not good : this version got too much synths/pseudo-symphonic crap in it. the original was rough & tough with violons. here we got a kitsch cover despite incredible guitars/drums and amazing mjk voice ...

wanna real cover ? entombed did it in the 90's ...

  • They really captured the frantic, mad, paranoid emotions this song always conjures up!

  • very good, but waaaay too short. should have kept more of the instrumental section

  • i dont like this sound....

  • I like this song more every time I listen to it.

  • It's done very well, but I hate the fact it left out the bridge that involves the drum solo. You just can't do this song without it in my opinion.

  • That's Robert on guitar btw.

  • Kicks the Guitar Hero 5 versions...butt!!!

  • Ive never hear anyone do a better job singing this besides Greg Lake... Until Now!!!

  • check out voivod's version. it's here on the tube.

  • Ya its OK I've loved this song sense I bought the record when King Crimson first came out. but Maynard nailed it! What a great complement to them!!!

  • Shivers through my spine the entire song.

  • The sound on this is fucking insane

  • This is amazing shit...fuck this guys are reached the peak of fame and still are underground...doesnt get any better.

  • The orchestration kind of ruins it. You have Maynard's epic vocals (even more epic than the original Greg Lake ones). You have Fripp just going crazy with the guitar tone. And you even have Michael Giles! But why have that orchestra making the song overdramatic?

This song is supposed to be dark and gritty. And why the hell did they shorten the chaotic instrumental section in the middle? This version is missing the anarchy of the original versions. No guitar solo?

  • @brightsuperstition Dark and gritty? I think the song is more like.. epic

  • i'm listening to this song over and over again, last time i felt like this was when i first heard Vicarious, this version is fucking insane, the whole Experimente project is great

  • you heard the song jambi from tool? or judith from a perfect circle... maynard is the best singer for me... love his voice and i love too and a perfect circle... can't wait for this album!

  • holy shit is that maynard on vocals

  • omg I didn't think so, but the first time he said "-schitzoid man" i was like shit it is!

  • This is fucking epic. The original was great too, but the expanded orchestration really kicks a lot of ass. As does Maynard of course.

  • This version made me get into the original.

  • eh...its a great remake, doesnt replace the original, but then again its not supposed to i dont think... now i have 2 versions of it to listen to instead of just 1

  • Now you have 3 songs, also this one that of ozzy.

    Regards

  • The Ozzy one was terrible.

  • @CRISISCOLECTIVA that isn't a song, it's a murder.

  • @CRISISCOLECTIVA Voivod too and Shining (the norwegian metal band, in their album Blackjazz).

  • You have reason but the voice of Maynard he is incredible

  • Yeah but that is what is about, you cant change good things you just can make then sound a lil diferent.

  • @burlearth I agree, not a creative cover at all.

  • @burlearth so, can you play this song better?. I doubt is, this is only for real musicians.

  • @FoxtronInk It's not a hard song to play actually but that's not the point, it's just a pointless version.

  • @burlearth Right on! Thanks

  • @FoxtronInk Your welcome.

  • gr8 cover thanks fro posting

  • yeahh men

    Regards

  • Robert Fripp (King Crimson)

    Maynard James Keenan (TOOL)

    Jeff Faymann (The Human Experimente)
