  • Hey joe,Im currently 310lb d-linemen,i want to start doing pullups,so ive bine working on the lat pulldown, but my lat pulldown only goes up to 260 pounds,i can rep that out about 8-10 times, how can i get to doing full pullups?if you could help me thanks,i also do barbell rows, with good form and i do 275 x5 and dumbell rows ,but my dumbell only go up to 125 and i can rep em out,if u can post plz tell me a technique i can use, thanks

  • The best way to do pull-ups is to DO pull-ups!

If you aren't able to do two or more reps, then do negatives. Just jump up as high as you can and hold onto the bar (so you're at the top position) and then lower yourself as slowly as you can.

Do enough of these and eventually you'll be able to do pull-ups and you'll definitely feel sore the next day!

  • @vongSTAA pullups are just as essential as pulldowns....

  • @Elite1987 pullups over pulldowns anyday

  • @vongSTAA this is wrong

  • @ArCxlioN are you telling me doing pull-up negatives don't help you do more pull-ups? because if so then you're a fucking idiot,. I was barely able to do a pull up before and used negatives as a way to increase my pull up strength and was eventually able to do a few.

  • @ArCxlioN Are you fucking kidding? Negatives produce some of the fastest strength increases I have ever seen, most notably in the pullup.

  • use the gravito machine

  • Nice Bro. Basically the same as Nagative pullups. Another thing people should try over time. A real good kick in the ass!

  • Also this will increase explosiveness like you wont believe!

  • that sould be a killer with that low of rest

    good work

  • nice to see good form on these!

  • yes the only one with good form.. he don't pay enough attention to that. i've seen horrible exercises executions..

  • Good advice.

  • Woot, go defranco!
