Allies are the most annoying forces you can choose. Soviets have a good defense, Empire has a good attack, Allies neither of them (maybe yes) but are too slow. That's my opinion.

yeah allies aren't good for base expansion and they are also too expensive. 1 vindicator is $1200 but you can only have 4 per airbase whereas the Striker VX can be built unlimited times. The allies lack rushing tactics, it takes so long to build things and by the time you have a formidable force the other opponent would have eleminated you and your strike force was for naught..

@Razgriz515: Really, I went for the game because of all the cool units. You have to agree that everything sounds funnier when the Cryocopter uses the shrink ray. Let's not forget to mention transforming robots. To top it all off, remember the awesome smack talk that the AI's use, only to be annhilated later in the game.

Besides, I'm a skirmisher. I want to play over Xbox Live, not the campaign. Long story short, campaign is too boring and repetitive.

I think RA 3 was a GREAT addition to the C&C franchise. Playing all the others before C&C 3, I feel RA 3 is MUCH more balanced. You can't build up an force, and destroy a whole base near the end of the battle with basic infantry. Has to be a mix.

1. Live action movies for old games will be cheesy - but EA had the opportunity to not make it over the top and lame. The older games were cheesy and unaware of that, while RA3 was well aware of it, and decided to do it for everything, even the units.

2. The units, again, are outrageous and plain unviable. A helicopter that shoots frozen chemicals? A giant three legged mech? At least the older games had a better sense of realism.

I respectfully recommend you play the Tiberium Series, or Generals. Red Alert is SUPPOSED to be about cheesiness, red alert 2 was slightly more serious, but still very humor based.

Remember that all the cheesiness stuff is all extra. EA only makes games for multi-player these days.

Red Alert 1-3 obviously have way better acting, the units don't have stupid abilities to warp and instikill on a Construction Yard, and Red Alert 3 has a better name. The sound effects and time on the game isn't to create stupid map packs like "Moon Terror Zone" or something dumb. If the Command And Conquer series was better, the games would be more expensive in stores.
