It's not just the salt, but you also need the moisture replaced by oil. For example a potato chip won't mold either, since all the moisture in the chip has been replaced by oil during the frying process. The McDonald's fries just have less moisture.
Eat McDonalds for two weeks and measure your poop. Then eat the same food you ate for the first two weeks, two weeks more and exercise. If your poop is almost around the same measurement then your body is getting nothing from the food your eating. Which is why workers around the globe get sleepy at 1:30 in the pm. Your trying to use energy that you simply don't have. But hey, A quarter pounder followed by a five hour energy shot and you should be ok right? lol Thats what millions of people do!
Translation: Mcdonalds food is messed up. Think about that guy who ate nothing but McDonalds for a year and died of all types of crap. It is not meant to be put in your bodies if you cant eat it constantly. God is so good cause I can eat fruits and veggies from the ground and that stuff makes me healthier. Foods purpose is energy. so pooping it out is good but you may wanna exercise to expel food energy AND to prevent heart failure from McDonalds artery clogging food.

Kimutiger is an idiot. If preserved by salt, then it'd be too salty to eat (like salt cod fish that must be soaked in water else too salty to be palatable). Salt, sugar, acid and lack of water aren't any of the preservatives preserving the McD french fries. Obviously chemical preservatives in McD fries. Should have separated McD meat in a jar by itself to see its decomposition rate.
If still low IQ uneducated people can't understand it and still uncertain try a google search how people survived centuries without refrigerators so their food did't go rotten in a week (food curing). And no they didn't have all the "posions and who knows whats inside the burger" thingies. Well let me tell you, it's called SALT, SUGAR, ACID and lack of WATER
This doesn't mean go eat fast food because it's not healthy but stop with the conspiracy idiotism
Idiots have never heard of curing process and how bacteria's and funghi work! They need WATER to decompose organic stuff, without WATER AND WITH SALT you create a very hostile environment for them and they can't breed and metabolize food!
Why did this noob in the video is remove the filling in the burger because it has WATER in it, lots of it, and it would spoil his big "breakthrough". Take a normal burger, put it in a sealed container so the WATER doesn't evaporate and see what will happen.
@Kimutiger Excuse my ignorance, because I understand most of what you said, but what exactly do you mean the "filling" of the burger? I'm thinking lettuce but I'd like to know.
@chocolateaudacity The stuff they put inside the burger expect the meat, like tomato sauce, onions, spices and whatever else goes inside to make it tasty and wet inside.
Hummm nope this is not an example of how food brakes down in your body. This is an example of how food brakes down on it's own and there's a big diference. Mc Donald's fries are really scary stuff though.
@colie577 But the food doesn't have enough time to decompose like you think, If you could swallow something like a condom full of pills and it doesn't open it wouldn't have enough time to break it down
The salt is a preservative...Salt is used on wounds to prevent bacteria from infecting it, same can go with decomposers and fungi...Prevents food decay.
its probably the salt on the fries no bacteria can form on the salt so thay are vary stale but no fuzz back in the 1700's thay used salt to cure pork and beef because it prevented bacteria from growing on the meat and spoiling it
@lacosanostra20 This is true but even in 1950 in France people were still doing that with food ! Are the fries covered with salt? No, not at all...As you probably know it, people would completly bury food under salt. So it's not an explanation since we see no salt on fries
@lycaon57950 Have you ever been to McDonalds? Their fries are loaded with salt. Just because you can't see it in a low resolution video through a thick glass jar doesn't mean that isn't there.
@kdchmln Yes I have been to mcDonalds, but What I mean is that, when you want to save food, to make some "conserves" (I don't know if this word exist in english) you need BIG salt, and you bury your food under it, here there is not a lot of salt as I see. Not more than on the fresh french fries.
What he did wrong is that he probably put everything in the jars while the food was still warm, causing humidity to form mold.
I had a (lost/forgotten) quarter pounder under my car seat for 6 months (during winter and spring mostly) and when I found it it looked still intact! That shit is scary lol
ur all idiots, he is trying to show you that this food doesn't decompose naturally to other foods, that's the thing he is proving, that there is so much shit in these food items that in any case they will decompose in nastier ways than the regular burger and fries did. btw those regular fries are also deep fried and salted so how come they decomposed and the d's fries didnt? answer that NERDS
How about I fucking grind up parts of your body, cook it up and then use it for some useless experiment on Youtube that's been done heaps of times before. Fucking faggot.
I am confused..please see the video for 4 year old Mcd hamburger.. it did not get moldy? Also there is one for one year, no mold.. why do theirs not mold and yours did??
@juleswc his got moldy because they were contained in jars which will add humidity, but if he did it in the open air like those experiments then mold would take longer to form since its getting circulated air and not stuck in a tightly sealed jar.
@ABW941 the elixir of life, philospher's stone.... now i know how to transmutate the legendary matter... all i need is a potato and make a mcdonald branch cook it for me -_-
just won't break down at all over the course of several months. The ones that are left out on a plate just dry out and don't decompose. It has nothing to do with preservatives or chemicals or anything else. It's the same reason that mummy's are found in arid regions of the world and not in jungles and swamps. Moisture is the biggest cause of decomposition.
making jerky out of burgers is propaganda, just a clever way of using reasonable science to fool people into believing someone's agenda
this is a more accurate test as far as science is concerned. all of the videos showing old mcd's hamburgers are showing dried out burgers. Once they dry out they don't mold, decompose or get infested with bugs. The thicker burger and fries each have more moisture than skinnier fries and burgers so they mold faster and more than a thin one. Also you could question whether the real burger was in the presence of more mold spores to begin with. At least this disproves the idea that MC'd's burgers
If you leave a McDouble outside the jar for a month it will look the same as a new one, I left one mcdouble on my car for almost 3 weeks and the buns were hard but the cheese and meat looked the same as a new one.
Kinda reminds me of when I watched a show that featured a 'body farm' where they leave dead bodies outside to study how they decompose. Done for science and to help police investigations.
The stomach is a fascinating organ and can't be compared with a glass jar. The patty goes through your intestines where they absorb as much nutrients and calories as they can from the patty. Then it goes to your stomach and depending on your metabolism, can sit there for about 4-9 hours. All in all the patty digesting process will take only 2 days and not a week, fungi doesn't even grow inside the stomach as they are automatically killed by the acid.
I think a possibility for the fries is that the types of bacteria and fungi that were in the jar did not operate well in the conditions. Also since the jar lid was closed, makes it harder to get more microorganisms inside. I think a good way to get some mold on the mcfries would be to leave the jar open. Eventually something will grow on it.
The dude that does that super size me is an idiot, he acts like the food is doing this in your stomach when doesn't even sit in your stomach very long at all
The fries lastet longer than burgers for 2 main motives :
1º - Thy are orghanic ( I will not decomposite , just lose water)
2º - Some kinda of Spice they've putted on it i think , or maybe the Salt absorbed all H20 , and without water , the chances of bacteria growing up there , are lesser.
@Natyboyy Nope, real fresh food decomposes very rapidly. Food decomposing slowly is a sign of the food killing/prohibiting growth of bacteria. THIS IS VERY BAD! Human digestion depends on bacteria processing the food, and if it won't rot quickly it means it is also bad for your digestion. This will remain undigested in your belly, which may cause constipation at the least.
Just remember: Long overdue rates = BAD (generally has been heavily coated in conservatives etc.).
@LaryaChan In the video, they are in jars, which limits the oxidation and exposure to the air. It's in a jar. Which isn't a natural environment. It decomposes a little slower than "natural" food, which will still contain preservatives.
Salt is a preservative. That's why we brine and pickle things. And this "horrible food" may be offensive to your palate, but a lot of lower income families can only afford this. When you need to eat, you eat- no matter what "quality" the food is.
@rebelviv8 I beg to differ. Food in America is cheap, dirt cheap. The problem is people don't cook, otherwise how cheap is a bag of potatoes? People are lazy enough to ignore what's healthy for them, therefore it's not that they can't afford to buy food. If people really can't afford it, I wouldn't say anything.
There is nothing that Mcdee's puts in their burgers and fries that don’t come in most of the foods you buy at the store. The reason why the fries are not decomposing is that they are dry. Notice that all the other food has fog in the jar, the fries don’t. Honestly, tell me the magic ingredient in their food that makes it so unhealthy. And if you said "Fat", your wrong, our body needs fat; we just don’t need to order a large coke, large fries and a big Mac’s worth. One burger and a coke is fine.
@StraightJacketRED There's a jar of French fries from another fast food restaurant which turned black, did you even watch the video? You need better logical thinking, it's like saying we can't really do anything to a serial killer unless we figure out what's wrong with him. It doesn't matter! The result is the proof.
@curiouspilot As someone who is studying psychology, I can honestly say that YES! Understanding a serial killer is the best way to catch him/her.
Now, if you're anything of a scientist, you would know not to use anything different in a control. The fries in the control jar are a lot bigger, they can hold a lot more moisture which will make them rot faster. Secondly, there’s really nothing different about them. I've seen them make fries at their factorys and at the restaurant, its just potatoes.
@StraightJacketRED Dude I wasn't talking about understanding someone in order to catch him, I was saying that we don't need to know what exactly is in McDonald's fries to know that there's something wrong with it. Granted, Larger fries has more moisture, but we are looking at 10 weeks plus! It's almost not about which one rots slower, McDonald simply does not rot! Now I may be exaggerating, but seriously, MCD fries does not have that much less moisture to make them last that long, make sense?
@StraightJacketRED and secondly, you don't know for sure if those potatoes are pre-soaked with god-knows-what chemicals before it's fried/processed, so let's leave it out of the discussion, and even if those potatoes are fine, they don't use decent oil to fry them anyway, so it's bad for health either way. My point is, there's other alternative for eats to this, if one chooses to eat it, that's fine, but don't say that there's nothing wrong with it.
@curiouspilot They take potatoes and cut them. Then they soak them in hot salt water to rinse out any extra starch and disinfect (chems are too expensive and require licenses and trained professionals to use)... They partly cook them in oil to give them that crisp that you don’t get in most fries, and then the freeze them, ship them in a box within a few days. Then the fry them at the restaurant, salt them, and serve. The only reason they make people fat is because we order a pound of them.
@curiouspilot This idea of McDonalds is a shock story that was fed to us because we needed to put a face on the obesity "crisis". When really we just like ordering a lot of food. It's not like eating their food is a death sentence, millions do it every day. The amount you order on the other hand makes it bad, order a medium fries and then put them on a large plate, it's a meal unto itself, let alone the burger and large coke. Ordering a burger, single patty, small coke and small fries is fine.
@StraightJacketRED lol I personally don't care about obesity and I think it's a minor problem, if I really need to be more specific about health problems I'd say cancer. There's a lot of things that can make a person fat, not only fries even though fries does has a lot of fat. But yeah if those potatoes really aren't processed, I am fine with them fries :p
@curiouspilot Dude, everything gives you cancer. There is even scientific data that shows exercising and breathing gives you cancer. The biggest thing to worry about is cooking the pre packaged meat that you buy at the store because that stuff has the nasty diseases that you get from trying to preserve meat for longer than its meant. It's fine if you cook it, but compared to meat that you kill yourself (which you can eat raw) its something to watch out for.
@StraightJacketRED Okay I want to make it clear that this is not a personal attack, but I laugh at what's so called "scientific", it's not that I don't think science is logical, but it's how people abuse it(not you, I mean the majority of scientists). Let me first state that modern science is pretty much all wonderful, except medical science. People from ancient times can already cure cancer, and doctors still struggle to find the cure, you'd know how funny this is, though only a few would know.
I like how you guys think this a joke, but it's a fact that America is filled with unhealthy, lazy, helpless, obese people. They always want mcdonalds or a different fast food restaurant instead of a REAL meal. It's scary how the scale is rising of people dying because of their weight. Also people in america are now become so dependent on other people, but that's another story.

this is a more accurate test as far as science is concerned. all of the videos showing old mcd's hamburgers are showing dried out burgers.

DrinkUrPruneJuice77 2 months ago
I think a possibility for the fries is that the types of bacteria and fungi that were in the jar did not operate well in the conditions. Also since the jar lid was closed, makes it harder to get more microorganisms inside. I think a good way to get some mold on the mcfries would be to leave the jar open. Eventually something will grow on it.

I am a 15 years boy , correct me if i am wrong.
Natyboyy 3 months ago

When you need to eat, you eat- no matter what "quality" the food is.
rebelviv8 3 months ago
@rebelviv8 I beg to differ. Food in America is cheap, dirt cheap. The problem is people don't cook, otherwise how cheap is a bag of potatoes? People are lazy enough to ignore what's healthy for them, therefore it's not that they can't afford to buy food. If people really can't afford it, I wouldn't say anything.
curiouspilot 3 months ago
There is nothing that Mcdee's puts in their burgers and fries that don’t come in most of the foods you buy at the store. The reason why the fries are not decomposing is that they are dry. Notice that all the other food has fog in the jar, the fries don’t. Honestly, tell me the magic ingredient in their food that makes it so unhealthy. And if you said "Fat", your wrong, our body needs fat; we just don’t need to order a large coke, large fries and a big Mac’s worth. One burger and a coke is fine.
StraightJacketRED 3 months ago
@StraightJacketRED There's a jar of French fries from another fast food restaurant which turned black, did you even watch the video? You need better logical thinking, it's like saying we can't really do anything to a serial killer unless we figure out what's wrong with him. It doesn't matter! The result is the proof.
curiouspilot 3 months ago
@curiouspilot As someone who is studying psychology, I can honestly say that YES! Understanding a serial killer is the best way to catch him/her.
Now, if you're anything of a scientist, you would know not to use anything different in a control. The fries in the control jar are a lot bigger, they can hold a lot more moisture which will make them rot faster. Secondly, there’s really nothing different about them. I've seen them make fries at their factorys and at the restaurant, its just potatoes.
StraightJacketRED 3 months ago
@StraightJacketRED Dude I wasn't talking about understanding someone in order to catch him, I was saying that we don't need to know what exactly is in McDonald's fries to know that there's something wrong with it. Granted, Larger fries has more moisture, but we are looking at 10 weeks plus! It's almost not about which one rots slower, McDonald simply does not rot! Now I may be exaggerating, but seriously, MCD fries does not have that much less moisture to make them last that long, make sense?
curiouspilot 3 months ago
@StraightJacketRED and secondly, you don't know for sure if those potatoes are pre-soaked with god-knows-what chemicals before it's fried/processed, so let's leave it out of the discussion, and even if those potatoes are fine, they don't use decent oil to fry them anyway, so it's bad for health either way. My point is, there's other alternative for eats to this, if one chooses to eat it, that's fine, but don't say that there's nothing wrong with it.
curiouspilot 3 months ago
@curiouspilot They take potatoes and cut them. Then they soak them in hot salt water to rinse out any extra starch and disinfect (chems are too expensive and require licenses and trained professionals to use)... They partly cook them in oil to give them that crisp that you don’t get in most fries, and then the freeze them, ship them in a box within a few days. Then the fry them at the restaurant, salt them, and serve. The only reason they make people fat is because we order a pound of them.
StraightJacketRED 3 months ago
@curiouspilot This idea of McDonalds is a shock story that was fed to us because we needed to put a face on the obesity "crisis". When really we just like ordering a lot of food. It's not like eating their food is a death sentence, millions do it every day. The amount you order on the other hand makes it bad, order a medium fries and then put them on a large plate, it's a meal unto itself, let alone the burger and large coke. Ordering a burger, single patty, small coke and small fries is fine.
StraightJacketRED 3 months ago
@StraightJacketRED lol I personally don't care about obesity and I think it's a minor problem, if I really need to be more specific about health problems I'd say cancer. There's a lot of things that can make a person fat, not only fries even though fries does has a lot of fat. But yeah if those potatoes really aren't processed, I am fine with them fries :p
curiouspilot 3 months ago
@curiouspilot Dude, everything gives you cancer. There is even scientific data that shows exercising and breathing gives you cancer. The biggest thing to worry about is cooking the pre packaged meat that you buy at the store because that stuff has the nasty diseases that you get from trying to preserve meat for longer than its meant. It's fine if you cook it, but compared to meat that you kill yourself (which you can eat raw) its something to watch out for.
And how do you process fries?
StraightJacketRED 3 months ago
