@DOUBL3SCOOP It helps the divers see the surface of the water. They need to know where the water is, so they can adjust their dives accordingly for a safe and good landing.

@gtcbm Platform diving, I suppose. It's 10 meters high. They all land head first though. It's not as crazy as cliff diving, but it's still extremely impressive.
