Pete Roberts used to go to Japan quite a lot and did sometimes fight in England as Super Destroyer Pete Roberts, a nickname that he either chose or was given while he was over there!
Glad I found this. There is a lot of skill here. I did senior level judo until injury forced my early "retirement" and Pete Roberts was always a favourite of mine - nurtured through English wrestling on Saturday afternoons. Didnt know he ventured abroad. He showed great technique (although not displayed too well in this clip). You can see he was trained in the art with his balance, movement, patience and channelled aggression. All stacks up to portray a skilled technician Good clip
Wrestling the way its meant to be. I'm not familiar w/Pete Roberts but, DO know Tsruta from him winnind the AWA belt, Tiger Mask of course & finaly Ted Dibiase from his early days here in Shreveport (mid-south) up to his WCW days at the end of his career.
WOW! I only recently met Pete Roberts, and didn't really know just how influential he was (had to be told by Colt Cabana). To see him in this company is tremendously educational!
Not bad. Wish I understood Japanese. That would make all this puroresu on YouTube that much better. It's tricky, though!
