  • do you really need to remove the caliper bracket? cant u just slide the wheel down with them in place, you're not removing the forks after all

  • @Bulgdoom No, you need to remove the calipers on most motorcycles. The calipers actually sit inside the wheel. If you were to leave the calipers on, the wheel would just hit the calipers.

  • Thanks for the video! Lots of useful easily understandable directions.

  • Between you and Scudman you guys helped me out a lot. I've never changed any motorcycle tires before. It took me maybe an hour to do the front and back. Thanks for the video you saved me alot of $.

  • @eleetgamer Yes, I did. You can see the spacer at about 5:10

  • y do they make certain tires with the backwards v tread.. i bought my bike and right off i thought like my car the Vs should run foward to cut the water and throw out but i looked at the tire and it says rotation is in wrong direction if you flip it it would put the Vs running fwd again???? Rotation arrow points to back of bike but Vs are like on the bike in this vid??? which is right???

  • Ur name is NANCY?

  • Thanks guy....

I just installed sum Galfner front Roaters. I have a GSXR 750 2003.. Your Very detail basic instructions help me knock it out. I had to buy a 24" hex key for $34.95 and the plastic hammer for $1.99 and barren grease $3.00. I took my time and cleaned out the old grease that accumulated over Years & lube it per your example which was A great demonstration.... It took a while because i went slow and cleaned parts. When i think about; I save more than a couple hundred dollars

  • @hasonme Excellent! I'm glad to hear it. Enjoy those new rotors! :D

  • do you need to take the rotors off for tire install or can you leave them on?

  • Unless you change tires with a crow bar and a sledge hammer, you should be able to leave the rotors on the wheel. Just be careful not to bend them during transportation.

  • Very well done ! Nice video, clean environment, clear explanation.

    F.

  • can you help me? my bike front wheel have some weird sound, when i try to rotate it with my hands in the front stand,.. i hear that it was from the disk break..

what do you think is the reason for that?

i always clean my bike 1s a week and check it,..

  • Is there a scraping sound from the front wheel? it could be the break pads?

  • yeah its like scraping sound, what do you think is the problem with break pads?

  • I might be wrong as i'm not a professional, but when my front wheel gave off a scratching / scraping sound it turned out my front breakpads had worn down and needed replacing. Just check them to make sure they're ok, if they're fine. It might be a bearing problem? If they're not ok, replace them and you should be sorted again :D

  • thanks buddy,.. i hope it is the problem^_^,..

it doesnt really bother me but of course every one wants their bike perform to the fullest^_^

    Godspeed.

  • No problem mate, if it's not the break pads and i was wrong sorry dude, like i said i'm not a professional but i hope it's helped or it'll help in the future lol. Cya around :D Ride or Die lol!

  • @Testingpointer1

Either you're brake pads are worn way down, or you need to clean the cyldinders in your caliper. Dust from your brake pads builds up on them and prevents them from retracting fully into the caliper.

  • thanks, i already figure it out,. it was the dust on the break pads, after i clean the bike i notice that the disk break have some black circled lines that i thought part of the disk brake^_^ but it was i dust, then i clean it several times until i see that the disk break doesnt bring up the circled lines^_^

  • Great video man 10x !

  • great tut, good job

  • It looks like they mounted those tires on backwards!

  • Nope, thats the correct direction.

  • Great insights... thanks, bro!!!
