everyone who has said anything other than the IS300 comes with the 2JZ-GE (NON-TURBO) is clearly uneducated or sadly mistaken. The turbo supra came with the 2JZ-GTE. I own an IS300 and I turbocharged it. For the first time in my life I logged onto my account just to state how completely idiotic some of you sound, I think this is the first comment I have ever left and it is because uneducated fools speak about things they clearly don't know about and its incredibly upsetting.Nice race though

the rsx dosnt lose by much! thats a good result for many cars up against the venerable 2jzgte(is it a gte, or a GE turboed?), especialy one like this obviously modded. good for a fwd 2L! we dont get the manual is300 here in australia, but we get the rsx (integra) :)

I've always loved the Lexus. :) One more small correction, the [b]S[/b]XE10 is the Japanese market Toyota RS200, which is powered by a 3[b]S[/b]-GE (2-liter four cylinder) Since the car in the video is a Lexus IS300 powered by a 2JZ, the proper Toyota body code is JZXE10.

WTF??? Everyone is bullsh*tting about IS300 engine. It is not 1JZ-GE or V6. 1JZ was only a 2.5 liter "turbo" engine found in MK3 Supras. IS300 did not come with a turbo stock. IS300 has the Supra N/A motor called 2JZ-GE (the Supra twin turbo motor was called 2JZ-GTE). And you can bet your a** this is the fact.

1jz-gte come in the mk3 and the toyota soarer and a couple other JDM toyota's also known as the lexus sc300 in america

and also turbo charged with in in-line 6 setup and no vvt-i

2jz-ge - comes in the lexus IS,GS,SC with the one marked down as "300" these are the only 2jz's that came along with VVT-i

2jz-gte & 2jz-gtte the first of these engines were twin tubo charged toyota supras in later years toyota decided instead of using 2 small turbos make it less maintenece and just use one big one. the last of the 2jzgte was crammed into JDM's toyota aristo aka. lexus gs 300 vertex this engine utilized the VVT-i technology and bumped the hp

both the lexus and supra have I-6's. the 1jz is found in the is300 and the supra. the 1jz is n/a. the 2jz is only in the supra and its TT

is300 comes with an INLINE 6. Drove a friends sport design a week ago, popped the hood to look around, and its deff a 2jz-GE was even stamped on a badge to the firewall. I know my supras and imports in general, so i know the 2jz-GE wsa th NA motor they put in certain NA supras, and the 2jz-GTE would be the turbo version, aside from the differences in pistons, oil squirters etc, the similiarties are there but there are also differences. NOT A V6 I CNA CONFIRM THAT!
