People are poor for many different reasons. Our current system does not afford the majority a basic level of living, there is an unfair distribution of resources. It's just another tool in the box to hammer people down by lowering their self-esteem with the 'you're a failure for not making it in the world' line. The current system is based on principles where the few take everything and the many feed on their crumbs. Policies are in place to make sure things stay that way, presently.
To the Chef of police of Pittsburgh: You may have your way with the crack-head hookers in the alleys of Pittsburgh, but I can assure you, that neither you or your Prozac junkie of an obscenely obese wife will get away with it. I"ll do a much better job than the CIA on YouTube and I will make sure that no hooker ever has to fear your sexual advances ever again. As for your wife, I hope the Prozac runs out and that her next happy meal makes her explode. Your sorry excuses for human beings.
IN A DICTATORSHIP: There is no choice, the elections are controlled, the police are the military, fear equals control, speech is suppressed, the economy is looted, the people are slaves...
If you really want to live in a better country, then call for a restoration of your Republic. Call for the Office of the President once again be equal with the legislative and judiciary bodies of our government, not above them, which is a principle we relinquished with the passage of the USA Patriot Act.
Don't let them tell you that you need a "Permit" to exercise your First Amendment Rights and your other Constitutional rights.
Learn your Constitution. It is what made us the Envy of the World
Capitalism hasn't failed, it has been taken over by corporations. "Corporatocracy" is the bastard child of the marriage between Government and Economy. And so Capitalism has been slowly destroyed. In the fifties and sixties America reached the height of it's Capitalistic age. It was a freer society and a wealthier society. Communism is the worst answer to our problems. Are you people insane??? Communism is the second most flawed system of government behind Anarchy, which is the ABSOLUTE WORST
Not really sure you understand Anarchism mainly because you call it a form of government, also you call it Anarchy when the two have different meanings.
Where have you seen Anarchism in a country being used to be able to dismiss it so?
Most people have never been free under capitalism, you are only free if you have a lot money, which is not many people.
Capitalism is just a form a slavery for 80% of people, but unlike the old slavery you have to feed and house you're self.
God you yanks still have such a brainwashed col war view of communism. You do know that a state cannot be communist with a leader "dictator"
A real communist country would have a dictatorship of the workers, communism as a theory is a 100 times more democratic than the so called democracy we have in Europe and the US.
Still there is only one way we will be really free, Anarchism, Anarcho-syndicalism. You not fall into the trap of thinking you are free because you are not, you are a slave.
spoken from someone who obviously lacks the intellectual fortitude to know that capitalism and democracy (although not perfect) are a far better option than nearly any other government establishment.
Spoken like some one who know nothing about the subject.
Anarcho-syndicalism you just have to talk to people who lived in Barcelona in 1936 to know that this is the best system, it is true direct democracy with every thing being run in an collective with no bosses, workers own and run there places of work, the city or society is it run the same way with every one getting a say not just the rich elite.
Really? Then explain why per capita the United States is the wealthiest country in the world when compared to areas such as Barcelona. Anarcho-syndicalism serves to equalize everyone by turning them into a group "hive", where few rule and have complete power and control. Sorry, but Democracy and Capitialism is the ONLY system in history that allows prosperity based on worth ethic.
First of all you got that every wrong about Barcelona.
It was not run by a select few, it was run as as a direct democracy the same as Anarcho-syndicalism would work, every one having a say in society not just the politicians or the rich elite.
In Barcelona production rates went up 25% with out bosses s if Franco had not been running a civil war then maybe it really could of worked.
Communism as Marx saw it has been tried enough to show it sounds great on paper, but in reality it never works, everyone is equal, but they are equally poor while those that work for the government are the ones who benefit from such a society. Captialism is the only society that breeds self- reliance, work ethic, and true advancement of society as a whole. Communism and other socialist style governments force people to do such activities, and thus, as history has proven, it doesn't work.
Communism as stated by Marx has never been tried so far so we do not know if it is better or worse.
In theory it is better than capitalism for every one apart from the really rich because it promotes equality and direct democracy. Not like our fake democracy we have now.
Capitalism is the worst system after fascism, 9,000 people die each day in capitalist countries from poverty, is a fact that says to me that it does not work.
Marxism is probably one of the most unfavorable types of government to ever have been proposed. It is insanely flawed. Ever read the book 1984? Society grows best under a small government controlled by the very people its oversees. The government is the peoples servant, not its master- it has, and will always work best that way.
Glad you brought up 1884, you do know that George Orwell was a marxist right? I hope you also know that we pretty much live in that book in the UK in "Democracy and Capitalism"
You seem to think that what was gong on in the USSR was real Marxism this a normal misconception by most people who do not study its theories.
How can you throw out a statistic like that? It is not only impossible to pin that on capitalism, but you have NO way to back up that statement. I could easily say that millions die all over the world in countries from poverty that are either Socialist or Communistic. Poverty in America is nothing compared to poverty in other parts of the world, in a side by side comparison America's poor are drastically wealthier.
I can throw out a statistic like that because we live in a capitalist world. (apart from Cuba and kind of Venezuela, Sweden and Norway. Also not really sure what they are doing in North Korea we can only guess) 9,000 people die every day from poverty in capitalist countries FACT, capitalism has to create poverty to be able to create rich it does not work other wise. This is why i can never support it.
People all over the world die from poverty caused reasons. Every country, even the most stringent of Communistic societies have poverty, and people die there to. I understand your comment, but it really isn't based on any logic or reality. George Orwell was actually a dedicated Socialist Democrat by the way. If there is a county out there with more wealth per citizen than the United States, and achieved it without Capitalism I'd like to see it. (hint: it doesn't exist)
If a communist country was being run right (really do not think one has so far) there would not be poverty, or there would be equal poverty.
Last summer I went on a road trip around Eastern Europe and finished in Moscow talking to people about the changes the main thing they talk about is poverty and inequality, Moscow used to have no homeless now it has the highest rate in the world, employment is a lot worse, because people are now only given jobs when it profits.
Since this economic down turn 60% of East Germans liked life more with the wall up, they once saw our side of the wall as grate and the new world, they now see it for what it is, every thing has a price tag you have to work like a slave all you're life to buy for the most part pointless products and pay rent.
Capitalism for over half of society is a lot like old slavery but now the slaves have to feed and house them selves.
it matters not what kind of education one has, or how smart or tallented one is, without drive and ambition all the tallent and education in the world is usless.
The middle class has kept US from getting what we want for far too long, always settling for reforms that benefit the middle class and do nothing for the working class.
We don't want to 'build a stronger middle class', nor even become part of it, we want to abolish class society.
What the problem with the protestors are that they are not only disturbing the city of Pittsburgh they are making it impossible for the people who live here live It may be a protest to what they believe in but they don't have the right to disturb the people who live here Thanks for making me afraid to even leave my home this coming weekend, may not be what u guys intended but it is what you are and you do Maybe u should think about the innocent people of Pittsburgh before u destroy our city
There is little reason to fear them they are cowards and bullies, my son is enrolled in school in pittsburgh and myself and a few thousand others from various groups around the country will be there walking the streets of Pittsburgh making sure they dont get out of hand.
if your reading this BashBack, G20 resistance and Code Pink, i suggest you mind your manners, The Patriots are coming... This isnt Seattle Washington we will kick your ass...
as a person who actually lives in pittsburgh and has for his entire 25 year life, i can only say you embody the myopic, narrow-minded and hypocritical attitude that too many people in this area have.
i'm sure you supported your precious conservative tea party on the great mall in DC. But far be it from people not sharing your political agenda to come together lest you denounce and threaten them.
please satisfy your fascist agenda somewhere else. the police don't need your help.
Looks like they do, i wouldnt miss it for the world we have been planning this for two years. im only coming to have some fun not to get out of hand ,but i will not be taking shit nor will anyone else from any of the groups im involved in who are headed to pittsburgh tomorrow as civilians we have as much right to be on the streets as the protesters and we have the right to disagree. dont start non wont be non. start bustin up the city and we will be tehre to back up pittsburghs finest.
"If they let us have the permits, we can do it peacefully".
Yea, if those who have power OVER us will LET US keep them from having power OVER us, then we can work this out peacefully.
People do not understand how power works. Those who have it consolidate it, rather than dispersing it.
If we want power in our lives (not power OVER others, mind you), then we must TAKE it away from those who horde it, and especially quit giving it to them in the first place.
You will do it peacefully either way. as mentioned above otherwise we will kick your ass. you fuckers will not be the only ones in pittsburgh this week i suggest you be on your best behavior.
Oh whatever. Fuck off. Some of us will be in Pittsburgh, other of us won't, but it isn't because of your online tough-guy crap, revolt works best when it is spread across the social terrain and not isolated in one single place.
Fuck you, we realize you police are all paper tigers. You may have all your robo-cop gear on, but we have seen you all crap your pants when your containment tactics don't work.
The state is vulnerable, we have proved it time and time again.
based by your language it is obvious you cannot hold a meaningful discussion on this subject. Your rhetoric reminds me of a 2nd grader who got pushed on the playground. Grow up.
Perhaps if I said it like this, more 'academic' and without passion, it would be more to your liking?:
The state's vulnerability is constantly being shown to us, that is why they must continually 'make examples' of a few to subdue the many, but some see through this vulnerability and will constantly attack it, for a heightening of tensions and a rupture that will finally erode away 'the banality of everyday life' and open the gates toward the unknown.
coming across in an intellectual manner will do far more for your side of the argument than any other type of behavior, and it will also allow people to take you seriously. Im not sure what your point is based upon your last post- please clarify.
back to the poverty point, look at Capitalist Haiti or Nigeria vs Cuba or Venezuela and it is very easy to see which system benefits the poor and which benefits the rich.
Different people have different ways of communicating. While 2 different people may agree on certain things, a language barrier may keep them from properly communicating.
One person may say "fuck the police", another might say "we desire to live in a society which is not governed by outside forces, but based on the decisions of the people the choices affects".
Communication is 2-sided, one must be willing to try to understand what the other is saying, even if they say it differently.
I understand your point, but there is a line between "effective and meaningful communication" and blatant immaturity and idiocy. Those that lack the ability to effectively and intellectually communicate are those that rant, swear and bully. Your point is well made, but it doesn't work as an excuse to come across as a buffoon. Not saying you are, just those who feel "communicating" means the use of four-lettered words.
But as I stated, it doesn't hurt to try to understand what others are saying.
For example, I am working-class, and I read all the time (and not the sports section of the paper either), but a lot of my peers & co-workers don't have as great a command on the english language as I do, and even I wish I had a lot better grip on it.
But I always try to clarify what I mean and what I think they mean, trying to create an understanding, which I often see middle-class people write us off too often.
But 'social conflict' is a totally different approach with different goals.
We aren't trying to 'reach' anybody, we are in conflict with those in power.
We can't help it if the public is too stupid to pick up a book or organize for attack against those in power, but we're not gonna wait for them either.
my point was this protest is going to do nothing, if the masses do not wake up, the ones who think the state is legitimate in what it is doing. All these protests just gets fabricated coverage in the media.
But many revolts don't 'start' with masses of people, but BEGIN with a small group, and from there reverberate to wherever people feel affinity with that small group.
'Protests', violent or not, rarely effect anything long term, other then exposure that THERE ARE people upset about things, and then you start from there.
Protesting is a good start, but we need to use other tools, some that have been successful have been:
Occupations, strikes (especially wildcat strikes), sabotage, theft, arson, economic damage, propaganda, street conflict, solidarity with ongoing struggles, etc...
fuck having a city permit to march and fuck pre-approved routs . the city is ours and the streets are ours..reclaim them or lose them..you decided.

I thought people took it for granted that Anarchy means no government at all and that is why I labeled it the ABSOLUTE WORST FORM.
In Anarchy man debases back to a primal "State of Nature," where he is under constant attack and really must live a sort of social Darwinism.
I do not know about any of you but I do not want to live and raise my children like an animal in the wild.
You need some form of government, in order to have life, liberty, + happiness, BUT VERY LIMITED
U need "A REPUBLIC".

But I always try to clarify what I mean and what I think they mean, trying to create an understanding, which I often see middle-class people write us off too often.

people want peace... but sometimes peace cannot be achieved in a peaceful way.....
They think protesting is going to persuade anybody? lol.

"Protesting" usually doesn't persuade anybody.
But 'social conflict' is a totally different approach with different goals.
We aren't trying to 'reach' anybody, we are in conflict with those in power.
We can't help it if the public is too stupid to pick up a book or organize for attack against those in power, but we're not gonna wait for them either.

i completely understand what you are saying.
my point was this protest is going to do nothing, if the masses do not wake up, the ones who think the state is legitimate in what it is doing. All these protests just gets fabricated coverage in the media.
samin62 2 years ago
Fuck the masses. We aren't waiting for anyone. There already is ongoing anti-authoritarian, anti-capitalist revolt in all corners of the globe.
What's to wait for? Permission?
m0bi 2 years ago
hey i agree with you, the so called established order is nothing but screwing the good people of this world. I have my plans and you have yours.
But a revolt is possible only if you have the masses on your side, history shows you that. Unless you want to do a military coup.
samin62 2 years ago
But many revolts don't 'start' with masses of people, but BEGIN with a small group, and from there reverberate to wherever people feel affinity with that small group.

Its time we lock and load and show these parasites of humanity we mean business. This peaceful protest is not working against these parasites.
