How would I do it to get the effect of a particular track panning from right to left, like in dubstep. Say if I had one continuous tone on one track, how do I get it to pan? Thanks
Anybody ever wonder how wonderful logic sounds and have a lot of flexibility but is just very ugly? I mean the faders and pan knobs are so unrealistic and the whole mixer view is this big ugly thing I keep touching the faders by mistake I can`t get use to it they are not really singled out Apple needs to change alot of things view wise. Even Ableton Live looks better.
After panning your drums started sounding off balance. They sounded better centered. I would pan them as well but you did it wrong. Moving snare from center when is not necessary will certainly make your drums sound off balance and weird as in this video.
In garageband i would record something (software instrument) then copy then paste it right next to the track i had just recorded and if it wasnt on time then i would go to the upper right corner and change the notes to 1/30 or something close to that and the i can manuelly move it around and always make it on time. in logic im trying to find out how to do that i found out how to change the notes but when i move the track around it still moves the same length help please!!!
could somebody tell me where can i find a person to teach me how to make a groovy bit lik e electro house trance techno tech house with logic 8 tell me how should i choose the kick for the different tempo(bpm) and what elements should i do to have punch and clear arrangement i really need some one help me to do that if you have a phone number please tell me and let me know
Click and hold on the name of the insert in the channel strip itself. A drop-down menu should open up where you can either choose another plug-in or the option "no plug-in." This will delete whatever insert you had in that space and move any inserts below it up to fill the empty slot.
You can do this in either the Inspector or the Mixer, but just make sure that you aren't currently playing a track that uses that plug, I've had that crash Logic for me in the past....
It all depends of how you want to work. I would say no cause the Audio engine is better in Logic but you have a milliuon people that would disagree. Try em both man...
Logic is a full DAW, Reason is not..dont listen to the OMG the audio engine is better in tht BS..ppl have made music with reason, logic. protools, fl studio etc etc etc...its not the software tht makes the music..its YOU!. Try all if u can..and chose the one your comfortable with.
Logic is a full recording suite, handling many file formats, importing audio and mastering.
Reason can only do MIDI.... It's badass, but it's better to use Reason for it's sounds and versatility and use Logic for it's recording functionality....

@thebombdropper123 on the top of your channel strip you have an option to quantize and that will automatically put your track on time !

whats the difference between sending a track to a bus and setting the track's output to a bus?
pablopablopablo22 2 years ago
if you send a track to a bus and have the output set to 'output1+2', it will be in both places at once.
example: send all drum tracks to a bus,and put reverb on the bus. now you have a fader for each dry track and a fader for the reverb mix.
if you set the output to a bus, it's basically like a subgroup in a mixer. they all mix together on one master fader.
example: change all drum outs to a bus. change all guitar tracks to another bus. have one master fader for drums, and one for guitars

Thanks man. I love to see Logic lessons on YouTube. I've used many DAWs over the years and Logic is definitely my favorite.

logic shits all over reason if you wanna produce music get logic

Reason is freakin great for expanding Logic's available sounds and instruments but not so good for the actual production of music....
iheartsedric 2 years ago
That is a good Reason as any.. hehe
You also need a mac to run Logic, but that you maybe knew? :)

Is Reason a better program to use than Logic? I know thats off topic but just trying to find out.

Ok... I need to get a better computer before I start using logic because my computer can better run reason.

Ferna, what you say is true, but the bouncing engines on each program differ dramatically.
Even as a long time Reason fan & user I can tell a massive difference in the bounce quality between Reason and Logic (or Live).
Thank the lord for Rewire! Where all music applications meet in a very happy medium :)

Buy both, and rewire reason through logic.
