DJ COOL HERC!!! played drum breaks at parties over and over. special dance evolved..those dancers were called bboys (breakboys), or break dancers. soon when scratching got involved, the dj needed an MC (master of ceremonies) to command the crowd. back then djs used a lot of rhymes..so the mc used rhymes. BAM RAP WAS CREATED. GET MORE KNOWLEDGE
Actually, whitey --- in the form of the Beastie Boys --- used it first in 1986. We "negros" tended to use a live backing band back in the evolving early days of hip-hop when tracking in a studio.
