Just like many of you, I never forgot this jingle. It had a GROOVE to it. I was in 4th grade when this hit the air ('83-'84 school year), and I've never forgotten that music.
THAT'S how you make a commercial!!!! You don't go get an old song that may not be related to product and use that instead; you hire CREATIVE people to come up with catchy music...and higher people like Luther VANDROSS (even though he ain't on this one) to sing it!
AWESOME! Thanks so much. I remember this was on all the time during Pryor's Place. I haven't heard this since it was first run and I sing it ALL THE TIME! I started to wonder if I'd imagined it as a 9 year old.
I originally posted this a couple years back (yeah I had to be "that" guy :-)) under the youtube name "Bodashus". They deleted my account though...oh well, didnt care for account name anyways.
And yeah every word of this commercial was in my head for 20+ years!
thanx 2 who ever put this up.i always said that dude did a "PERFECT" WINDMILL..oh and the girl was very cute......MAN those DRUM MACHINES are very annoying......i guess it wouldnt be the 80's without 'em. thanx again
A classic example of one of the 80's commercial themes that have been stuck in my head my entire life! Also worth noting, the Juicy Fruit commercial (the one with the skis "take a whiff, pull it out!") and Mentos...
Man, when this commercial was in circulation (I was 9...man I`m old), it was almost the highlight of me and my brother's Saturday morning cartoon watching...this has to be my fave commercial, thanks for uploading this!
I was COMPLETELY OBSESSED with this commercial. I would go around singing it at school and at home. As a result for my birthday, a friend or two included Hershey bars with my present :-)
MY dads in that comerical locking!(:

Delicious and SMOOTH, look at it in the context of the video being shown. They are showing how smooth and liquidy it is.
MrBigglessworth 4 years ago
"Pure milk chocolate, delicious as food?" "delicious-ass food?" I could never figure that out.
CorporalDanLives 4 years ago
I thought it was "delicious and smooth", at least that's what I sung everyday as a toddler.

Yes what a resume he has from commercials, break dancing, The Cosby Show and Martin. Carl Payne is the man.
