  • 03:40 the seven samurai?!

  • awesome

  • @milad2007halo3 thos people choos what they believed in they are not being forced. And you act as if tens of thousands dident move to the americas

  • I still believe the title "The Last Samurai" is referring to Katsumoto and not Algren, since Algren is narrating the movie about his experiences with Katsumoto and his people.

  • Who is the samurai at 0:34?

  • @yyyudemon not 100% sure, but i would guess that it is one of the 47 ronin because of the design on his sleeve

  • @BobTheSilentSamurai I believe your mistaken the man is wearing the uniform of the Shinsengumi, u can tell by the white mountain stripes on the sleeve of his robe and he's wearing a hachimaki (headband) bearing the character "makoto" which is emblazoned on their banner. Just don't know the identity of the man though.

  • @KakashiTroll yea i got sorta thrown off by the mountain stripes and headband, it just reminded me of the paintings of the 47 ronin. Btw do u know what that symbol on his do is? I have seen it before and just dont know the name of that family crest!

  • aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH YEAUHH!!!!

  • Fuck the gatling gun!

  • i believe its the heart of the warrior that truley makes a samurai. not race or gender yes most samurai were men but that doesnt men there cant be woman samurai. i am a man but thats just what i believe

  • this music makes me want to fight for freedom and justice especially when samurai are shouting while they kill everything that is on the way!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • LOL・・・・・

  • The last samurai movie was gay, they should've put a real japanese instead of a gaijin.

  • @milad2007halo3 Think so? The background for this story is essentially Pocahontas (you can go back further, but im not sure of Pocahontas' thematic routes), or even the book Shogun by James Clavell. So there would need to be a Gaijin for the theme to make sense. It's the age old story of one who is seeking direction, and by the end of the movie finds that direction, and the missing piece of his soul..

    ... ooohh mystical :P

And personally I think this is one of Cruise's better roles.

  • @420Rokn A gaijin can't be samurai, Bushido is for Japanese only. They've brought their stupid religion to Japan and got killed (Thanks Buddha) but a scene where the Gaijin is being burned alive would be Okay to put in this movie.

  • @milad2007halo3 Nah a gaijin cant be samurai, but i never said he was. He just enjoys the peace that the Japanese culture brings. As for him donning armor and fighting Samurai style, idk maybe he prefers their method of fighting. What do you think? Other than the obvious "they should burn him, or flay him, or scald him or any of that stuff, which is not to be ignored :]

  • @420Rokn My Point is, Westerners, Afrikans, Americans and Middle Easterns shouldn't be in East Asia. You don't see us bringing our Religion or culture to you, so why not leave us alone? You (The People of the regions i've mentioned) are barbarians, specially West... Look at what they're doing, bringing their stupid politics to East Asia even though we don't want them, Communism has ruined Korea and Mainland China; The South koreans are largely Christians now...

  • @milad2007halo3 true true :|

  • what clan were they

  • @Church458 Who knows? At this time, Meji had dissolved the clan system and removed Daimyo as the territorial leaders. Central authority was derived from Edo, whereas previously, decisions were made by the Shogun Bakufu in Kamakura (Correct me if I'm wrong).

Not sure how clans or samurai groupings were addressed in the mid 19th century. Might be cool to look into. It's something like after the decree banning the wearing of swords, samurai were no longer a caste or something like that.

  • this music is slightly sad it makes me feel like iv lost something important to me...

  • What's the name of the type of the music?

  • @JackJeffersonEC

    soundtrack.. or traditional japanese music

  • @JackJeffersonEC The song itself is Hans Zimmer's "Red Warrior".

  • hab den film mal gesehen, aber vergessen, schade

  • crappy film.... they tried to make the last samurai as a white trash! The last samurai was a Japanese in historically and not American... How about last cowboy was chinese and last warrior of the Maya was Japanese? that doesnt make any sense!!! film makers really fuk things up!fuk them

  • @delgerbileg shut the fuck up your fucking retard nobody cares what you think just hang yourself you fucking loser

  • @irishwarlord100 wow one red neck is soo fuking pissed off ok sorry rofl

  • THIS VIDEO RIGHT HERE IS LEGENDARY with those samurai kiai's man i get a thrill lasting the whole 3:59

  • Goosebumps. Amazing.

  • While I love the music, the film with Tom Cruise in it is ridiculous...

An American saving Japan by becoming a samurai, c'mon yanks get real...

  • @NordicAspect Which is why it was so popular. Lived out the dream of many Americans...

  • @issacky Indeed. Hollywood films always include American actors sometimes it's unfortunate like with this samurai film. Just my opinion though.

  • Wow, I love Japanese music and culture!

  • Frapigecko, you are great. Nice job. You have good taste and inteligence.

  • best film and filmmusic ever <3

  • Einfach super, gute arbeit kann man immer hören.!!! :-)

  • I had exactly the same hairs at a earlyer time, but I cut them =(.

Now I want to let them grow.

I also train kendo for 2 years.

  • The images in this video is really beautiful. I think that this is one of tom's better movies in his career. It is interesting when my kendo sensai looks similar to tom from the movie. Playing samurai warriors 2 how Yukimura Sanada also looks similar to them is interesting.

  • thx a lot for the feed back :D

  • This is one of my favourite and probabally the most beautiful film I've ever watched. It makes me look differently on life and all I wanted throughout that film was to get a house in a small Japenese village like the one in the film and just live in utter peace, peace thx

  • @BourneDirector concordo un capolavoro da 9% e visto che sono un appassionato pazzo dei samurai per me si merita un 10 !!!!!!

Shogun 2 Total War inizio 2011!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @BourneDirector I don't think i could agree more! (Y)

theres something about those villages which make my life seem so stressfull. when i think of them, it makes me wanna go there. live, and wake up to the sun and just train and make something out myself.

  • @BourneDirector get a hold of yourself, peace is only temporary, peace is a result of blood and suffering

  • @BourneDirector its easy to do that and i know many places around the globe like that i lived in a mayan community in a mexican mountain

  • also in japan theres beautiful places
