Another excellent video! I I am trying to grow my hair and I want to protect the ends from splits as much as possible. Would this hairdo be safe to wear on an everyday basis?
@XxOakDryadxX The best things for an everyday style would probably be either a Nautilus, a Pretzel bun, a braided bun or a simple cinnabun. Your ends will be tucked away. This one probably wouldn't be the best thing for an everyday style as it requires pinning towards the ends and doing it every day will eventually result in damage.
i like your long hair and your hair style i am a boy and have long hair about 3 foot long i like long hair. my mother also want that my hair grow fast more long she care for my long hair she oiling my long hair 2 day in a week. plz tell me some long hair styles burns, braids styles for school and home work time thanks waiting for your responce.
thank you very much! this updo is amazing and the tutorial is very helpful! don't know why that pony tail at 3:00 never came into my head because that already works as a nice hairstyle - i like simple styles but with a little pretty detail which makes it special^^ well but the updo is sooo great! i am invited to a wedding next weekend and that is just what i was looking for - even better than i imagined;) i found 3 tutorials, tried them all and yours made it^^ looking forward to the wedding! x
Would you consider this the "Victorian Bun"? I have been trying to learn how to do that style, but have yet to figure it out. If anyone knows of a video that will show it, please, please, PLEASE let me know!
@truepatriotdec7: i am SO sorry for not responding...i actually rarely login to YouTube. i truly hope you were able to find the victorian bun you were looking for and that your civil war reenactment went well. i'm still looking for the victorian bun myself...i keep finding "gibson tuck's"
That was really cool - I didnt think it would be so easy and look so good.
For a little twist - before you tie the hair back you could do some little things to the front of your hair, do some little twists going back or something... to add interest to the front. :D
for a long time, i didn't do anything with my hair and was getting very bored with it. i have medium hair (recently dyed with henna) and your vids are perfect!!!
thanks so much for this, I am doing my friends wedding hair soon, and she wants finger waves at the front, and I thought I would do this at the back...thanks!
I CAN"T DO THIS!!! the pony tail holder keeps turning with the hair!!!!!!!! It's driving me crazy!!! this is my own personal frustrating crown braid!!!!!
I love using this hairstyle at work! My hair is as long as yours, though I feel self-conscious wearing it up in public, but this one really works well for me! Thank you so much for your videos! I can't wait to see more!
i was wonderin if u could do something special for me, im a nursin student and i need to have my hair pulled completely out of my face and im sick of doin a stupid ponytail.
so i was wonderin if u could help me do something that pulls all my hair outa my face but still looks gorgeous.
omg! torrin! it's wonderful. love it. i often wear my hair this way, but never thought to pull it through a second time to get that bun look. sooooo vintage!
have you ever done a french roll? NOT a french twist as you and i both have way too much hair for that. it looks like the second step ... where you pull the hair through, but you just put in a large barrette. i will try to get my neighbor to come over and take a pic for you.
Aw! Post a video of yourself doing the crown braid, even if you don't think you have it right. I bet there's some people on here who could give you some suggestions that would work if they get the chance to see how you're doing it. :)
Most girls would never have cut their hair, though. I've seen pictures of my relatives from that time, and all the women had hair to their bums. I think only the "bad" girls got the bob.
Not all girls that got the bob were bad. Many girls wanted to get the bob but the parents didn't approve of the change. Many however rebelled and cut their hair very short.
Omg I love this. I'm gunna try in in a second when I finishe typing this comment and my cup of tea =]. How long did it take you to grow your hair that long?
Really pretty! I love low buns and they can be hard to hold together with my knee length hair.I think you have a perfect hair length for many styles!
I will try this one soon! I'm so glad you tried the good hair days hair pins! TY for mentioning me too :o) Nice tutorial...I put you at the top of my list on my Youtube tutorial links at JJJLonghairphotopage!
Thank YOU for the hair pin suggestion! They hold like the devil. And they're comfy and don't pop out. Amazing for something made of plastic. Also? They're practically invisible, which I love, as I hate for the works to show. :o) You always give me the best tips.
This looks so elegant. I have got to try this one.Oh don't let yourself get down about the crown braid....my suggestion give up on it for awhile and then later if you decide to try again it'll probably click then and you'll be like why did I think that was difficult (things happen like that for me).
Hi, Torrin!! That is a very pretty style on you! Great job!! :). Hey, I think your awesome at doing your hair, you have much talent, you rock!! :):) Love your hair vids!
This is such a pretty style in your hair. It really shows the texture and thickness beautifully. I agree the crown braid is hugely frustrating - probably why I'm so determined to conquer it. If anyone can get it you can. Good luck!
Beautiful! This is one of my favourite hairstyles -- I love when you do vintage, and 1930s had some of the most lovely. I will try this, even though my hair is thick like yours and even more curly.
Hm.. May I ask where you bought the last decorative pin (not sure what you call them) at the end? It's so nice. I live in Canada, so online would be best for me.
I made them! They're made from knitting needles and I even made a tutorial on how to make them (with a couple of hairstyles thrown in for fun.) It's under "How to Make Fancy Hair-Pins."
I think this has to be one of my favorites of all of your styles! It's so "unfussy" and extremely elegant looking! Really classic, clean and just plain nice looking!
Nice one!!! I know how you feel about the crown braid, I tried for several months to do a dutch horseshoe braid, for my prom, but I had to give up in the end, i ran out of time...
I love it! I was looking for vintage hairstyles yesterday that I could wear swing dancing, and all I could find were victory rolls. This is much easier than toiling over curlers and curling irons and gnashing my teeth trying to get the rolls set. Thanks!

Good Days Hair Pins. You can get them at Walgreens or pretty much any drugstore. They're great too. They're easy to hide and they dont budge.
