  • so if i say something about watching this in 2012 i will get thumbs up? just wondering...

  • Whats this song called...?

  • Best Gundam series of all time....

  • this song, my funeral, fuck yeah

  • Sound like something you would find in Ghost In The Shell and i think that's one of the reason i love it so much. I didn't watch Turn A far enough to see it in the episode though. Can't wait.

  • @Kainzone It's really close to the end; if I remember correctly, it's only in the last episode.

  • Best wouldn't be enought to decribe this song.... We haven't created a word for such a thing yet ;)

  • The best? That's just your opinion, you can't just title something like that.

  • There's a teardrop... from my eyes

  • Comment removed

  • just watched it yesterday, since i'm doing a run through of all gundams. Turn A is not my favourite one (to me ZZ and 8th Team are the best i've seen) but it is a worthy conclusion to Tomino-sensei's view on the Gundam Universe.

  • When I was small, the first time looking at it I looked at the mecha and characters

The second time I tried to digest the plots

The third time I'm amazed by how they depict and make us think about part of humanity and the paradox of war especially 0093, turn a and SEED-D

Gundam this series is a mirror of us, it describes part of which confine us as humans; an ironic reminder and something we all know, universal peace is always a goal easier said than done.

  • I love everything of this series: OST, Story, and (althought it a bit odd for me to like it) the Turn A Gundam design. Another MS design only on this series is so stupid, but i think the Turn A Gundam design itself is greet and make it sync with the story.

  • Loran is a moonrace nigger

    someone said that in 4chan!!!

  • once you overcome the gay MS design , you will find that this show is actually very enjoyable .

  • Good plot, good BGM as always but unappealing mechanics especially the V antenna. Almost like wearing pants on head

  • @AxisWillie the mechanical designs were done by an Amerifag, Tomino fail

  • I heard this is going to be released in America in a year or two

    NICE

  • @tHeWasTeDYouTh this autumn is what I herd

  • @diehard667 awesome, better yet

  • I love UC and every other AU except for Seed.

  • No me gusta Gundam, pero me encantan sus geniales temas musicales.

  • Thumps Up if you still watching this in 2011 !!

  • Turn A is coming to the states!!! tho I wish ZZ would have came first.

  • i love the story so much but the Gundam Design is a bit Odd! but it still rocks

  • I liked this series just not the design of the gundam

  • can some one please explain me a little bit about this gundam series, like why those the technology looks like it was steam punk, and at the same time is way more advance in technology?

  • @WatchGamer You CAN think of it as a like the latest U.C. anime. Basically the Turn A had a weapon called moonlight butterfly, which turns all tech to dust, destroying everything on earth and making the earth start all over. But people still lived on the Moon, the people on the moon come to live on earth again but the earthrace don't want them to. War starts and the moon race has MS but the earthrace digs them up as war relics from the OYW and other suits to us against the moon

  • man this looks really cool i wish i could watch it but i heard you have to watch all the UC series or whatever there called to understand this series and i have only started moble suit gundam and i dont have lots of freetime to watch it with school :(

  • @dwarfminerwillie you only really need to watch the origonal 0079 gundam and really even then it's not really nessacary.

  • Comment removed

  • now if only the gundam didn't look so goofy

  • @Killerwhalepat

what are u talking about, it looks totally awesome, its the only different gundam face you ever see aside from hyaku shiki, and zeta gundam's face, and rick dias (which is ACTUALLY A GUNDAM BTW). everything else looks exactly the same

  • @Killerwhalepat

looking goofy is just another reason why its totally badass

  • @kevinlei92 the fan concept is 1000x better. SOLELY because It doesn't have a retarded mustache

  • @Killerwhalepat

excuse me, but mario has a stache, you dont flame mario, and instead u flame the V fin thats placed on the mouth

mind u, robot is a robot, and turn A is a robot

and normal gundams got the helm, stache and helm, whats the difference, your just prejudice

  • @Killerwhalepat You mean the super badass samurai armor mustache? Haters gonna hate.

  • @Killerwhalepat

i know what you mean...it's horrendous.

  • @Killerwhalepat give the series a go and it will grow on you trust me. it's a nice break from ''zeig zeon'' all the time

  • @arbiterE27 im just referring to the design of the gundam

  • Spent Months listening to this (I have the Turn A Gundam in Concert Version) so I could sing along with it and I still choke up when I get about 2 min. in. So Beautiful.

  • @AmuroKazuki ah, well as i said google translate lol

  • Intriguing, considering that I have never watched an ∀ Gundam episode. Is it just my imagination, or does this song remind anyone else here of a song from 'Riverdance'?

  • i looked this song up on the website i download from and it said the name is "cocoon of the mouth" idk if thats right or not but thats what the google translate said...so its prolly 60% reliable if that lol

  • Why is Loran Cehack surfing on a Bull One?

Also, the White Doll is probably THE most awesome (and outdated) Mobile Suit ever. It's over 2000 years old, its weapons are destroyed over time, except for the Beam Swords, Beam Rifle and Gundam Hammers, and it's still stronger than any of the Moonrace's Mobile Suits and Mobile Armors. Just goes to prove that just because it's old, doesn't mean it doesn't work. Just like my PC.

  • dude, tomino gave us the ultimate gundam, THE MOST POWERFUL GUNDAM: TURN A.

  • @ShinnoHitoki000 Well, duh... Of course it's powerful. It's Turn A. It's (according to what I've read somewhere on the internet) powered by a fricking miniature singularity (that's a Black Hole in layman's terms) inside its torso. If that doesn't make it powerful, I don't know what does. Also, it can actually pick up enemy Mobile Suits and throw them around (remember, the WaD's are only 4-5 meters tall). We never saw any other Gundam do that, although I wouldn't put it past ZZ either.

  • turn a has the ability to obliterate all technology as if they never existed using the moonlight butterfly system and it extended from the earth to the jupiter. it did, as the others said here "f***up" an entire planet like earth and jupiter. why? because turn a was designed for interstellar warfare. that's why turn a is considered the most powerful gundam courtesy of tomino.

  • @kajen17 Actually, I think it was the newest Gundam made. These events happened so far after the After War era that people even made it back to Jupiter, so this would be well down the road. The most outdated Mobile Suit would be the first Zaku, I think.

  • @Espadazorz Okay, so it's the most outdated Gundam-type Mobile Suit. I don't know how I forgot the Borjarnon Commander Type (Zaku I) and the regular Borjarnons (Zaku II).

  • @kajen17 Er, you're not getting it. I'm saying it was the least outdated Gundam. The RX-78-2 or whatever would be the most outdated.

  • @kajen17 outdated? you mean the most advanced right?

  • The reason Turn-A worked out so well is because of Yoshiyuki Tomino and Yoko Kanno. Tomino made Turn-A Gundam, Kanno made the epic music happen for Turn-A. Kanno did very well in cowboy bebop and many others. Tomino delt a blow to the gundam series that were not in UC by making Turn-A the end of almost everyone of them. also gaps were left. aka "the dark history" haven't watched it all the way. but I still wonder where Turn-A came from, and why the moonlight butterfly was even used!

  • turn a was created by the moonrace as its ultimate weapon, capable of obliterating all kinds of technological and origanic substance, suitable for interstellar warfare. it was used because its creators are too fed up of wars and riots. if only they used turn a against evil dudes, the world might have been a better place to live in.

  • Hmm, the Turn A is a bit too futuristic to be easily understood...And the Turn X flipped is STILL an X.

  • the Turn A Gundam is the ugliest gundam of all time.....

  • @sawwheeler Mammoth Gundam takes that title, bro

  • @sawwheeler yeah, probably at first look, but wait till you see it move. beautiful~

  • @sawwheeler

I think the designs from Turn A are very original, and actually nice. The SUMO looks great.

  • @ClangerSchmoo Well, the SUMO Gold Type was originally meant to be the Turn A. Its design was just too exotic, so they degraded it to a lesser MS.

Wouldn't mind if it appears in Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 3, though.

  • @sawwheeler eh, it was made around a thousand years after V gundam. (Which was in UC 153) Design tastes definitely changed...

  • *looking at vid title* yes... yes it is.

  • To each his own, but I gotta go with Flying in the Sky. I know it wasn't the best series, but the song was awesome.

  • I don't have a single favorite gundam song. The songs I like the most are: tsuki no mayu(this one), eternal wind, mizu no hoshi ni ai wo komete, dreams, ai senshi (gackt ver), Hinageshi no Tabi no mukou ni, akatsuki no kuruma, and Life goes on

most shows have at least 1 decent in the season except the shithole that is seed & destiny(surprised destiny had a good song)

wing and 00 had no good songs as well

Their songs represent their show (except wing) but they're not what gundam should portray

  • @hayapapaya Disagreed, "Tomorrow" by Tsunematsu Ayumi (Marina Ismail) from 00 is quite good. Agreed with what you said about Seed, though the ova, "Gundam Seed Stargazer" isn't half bad imo.

  • @hayapapaya

I disagree that GW and 00 didn't have good songs but you're entitled to your opinion.

  • WATCH: moon by origa

  • Bandai is releasing this here ,Pre-order while you can

  • @Speigeleisen Where? I can't find it.

  • Wait, wait, wait, is this "Moon" but in... Japanese? Someone translate STAT! (it can be a rough one, I don't care.)

  • @Mike0Powell It's about a Swallowtail Butterfly shinning its light on this world. One of the videos showing the last scene of Turn A Gundam shows both Japanese and English words. I have the video on my Anime list. Its the last one. I hope this is helpful.

  • Can't stop listening to this. So amazing. So beautiful. I remember when this first played and it was an eye-opener. I remember it like the first time I watched it. I'm still speechless till this day. Life is wonderful with Anime. Or should I say Art? Art. Music is art.

  • ERUPTING BURNING FINGER has best theme ^.^ (this is my opinion that is all)

  • moon cocoon desu? lol

  • i shot this gundam insult more in a efin zaku tank and regular

  • @zerowazhere ur a heartless fucktard

  • @arbiterE27 oh god sorry my roommate waz on my account he is a gundam fan i mean Xtreme gundam fan he hates this one be cause he keeps saying it dont look like a gundam

  • Turn A is the epitome of gundam shows, espcially since "Turn A Gundam" means "For All Gundams". I like to think this song represents the epic finale of gundam in general.

  • i hope if they dub this series they take their time as turn a is somthing to beutiful to mess up through carelessness and sloppy work

  • @arbiterE27 if it is gonna be dubbed, it will be done by Ocean Group, who do not screw up.

  • where can i dload the 1st pict for wallpaper ?

  • As a person who has watched just about every Gundam show, series, movies, mini series, spin-off...everything. This was my favorite of all Gundam shows, a very close 2nd goes to Zeta Gundam.

  • i still say wing zero for the win

  • @negispringfieldx

Wing Zero is amongst one of the worst units. It's really meant for strifing runs and mass destruction.

It's body design is horrid, half the time it should be falling on it's ass.

The unit has next to no means to turn left/right at all. The unit's generally a fighter plane in MS form at all times without a skilled AMBAC pilot.

And the TBR? Trumped by the TSC, as well as the Turn A's Beam rifle, which has the power of a colony laser at 100%.

    WZ can gtfo.

  • It's a gorgeous and very heartfelt song. The Musical details make it very special. I'm a very strong U.C. 0079 to 0093 fan, but i've always wanted to see Turn A Gundam above any other alternate Gundam universe. From what little i've read/seen through out the years, it seems like such an interesting series. This song's feeling reminds me of how a newtype would more likely compose a song.

  • the gundam looks like an alien not a Gundam oh well cute song anyway

  • is this from turn A gundum ?

  • @Shichiroji1 - Turn A Gundam.

  • i think it is boring

  • @doofndorkinator

You obviously have not watched the series. The song is VERY fitting and VERY powerful. But hell... its Yoko Kanno... I wish Gundam 00 had her as a conductor (although Green did a good job for one of the intros....)

  • Is this Origa singing? From which GUNDAM ost?

  • i think the shining gundam theme is the best

  • @chiefofrice i want to agree but burning/god gundam is better in the looks and overall power!

  • @diz1233 actually turn a is the most powerful weapon in the gundam universe since /SPOILERS it turns the earth to ash

  • Comment removed

  • @gundamassassin241

Your family breed simple minded, or were you raised that way? It's not confusing, especially if, like with any GOOD story, you watch it through to the end.

  • @KatomaMundara Exactly. Turn A doesn't really seem confusing once you've watched the series. The only thing that could possibly confuse you would be Dianna Soriel and Kihel Heim when they've met each other and switched identities for the first time. I've watched it twice, and I still can't keep up with who's where.

  • Best damn gundam ever, a war-torn drama ripped from the pages of tragedy and hope from a dark mecha history, with an unearthly score and epic aria from diva-goddess Yoko Kanno, simply awesome!

  • Stardust Memory and its Men of Destiny has this way beat.

  • This song... is so epic.

  • whats is the name of that super song?

    please

  • Comment removed

  • @shigeru115 Title is "月の繭"(tuki no mayu) : a cocoon of the moon. Artist is "奥井 亜紀"(Okui Aki) : first name is not "Okui" but "Aki".

  • rhythm emotion or bust

  • the only gundam series that has the old World War feel. you don't get this anywhere.

    just beautiful .

  • @ipekatomang In a sense, you're right. But at the same time, in a sense, you're wrong. The 08th MS Team was more realistic than any other Gundam series, with the only scifi gear being a single beam sword that appeared for one or two episodes. The rest of the time, they use projectile guns, explosives and guerilla warfare to defeat the enemy. And they even carry out stealth ops using fricking Mobile Suits. I'd say it has a rather WW2-ish feel to it.

  • even though i dont really like the series, the song is one of the best

  • As if the Zaku II's didn't get enough terror in the one year war through Neo-Zeon.

Now they have to fight 'Moonpeople'

    Poor Zaku's...

  • @Thassarian09 At least they were actually useful in Turn A. Perhaps it's because they were renamed to Borjarnons. Not that the name matters of course, as it all comes down to a mix between the MS's capabilities and the Pilot's skills.

  • Awesome elegant music to an awesome poignant series, where character-driven drama meets gritty mecha engagements.

  • If you're rejecting Turn A on the basis of crossdressing of all things, then you're just an ignorant doofus who hasn't gotten past the first few episodes. Turn A not only managed a perfect plot out of a light-hearted premise but also had one of the best endings any Gundam show could ever manage, along with some of the best characters in the franchise.

  • Before there was Kira and Freedom there was Loran and Turn A

  • Comment removed

  • Turn A was basically what Tomino originally envisioned MSG to be: a true War Drama, years ahead of it's time. Focusing more on the drama than the war, but still providing epic battles.

Although anyone who thinks that anything Gundam, bar Turn X (100% power) or Phoenix Gundam (same), can beat a full power Turn A tech wise, should be shot.

Turn A's got the best story imho of any Gundam series. At least it didn't feel like a crap load of plot holes... *glares at Wing/SEED*

  • @KatomaMundara I haven't seen Turn-A Gundam and Gundam Wing was my favorite series thus far, but I have to agree with you. There were a LOT of plot holes. And not just that, but looking back on the series, I feel like the plot was a little unrealistic and focused too heavily on the cool mech designs and random mobile suits getting obliterated to pieces. The characters, while sometimes deep and a LITTLE complex, just ended up all sort of... being the same... Like, you could sort the characters...

  • @KatomaMundara ...of GW into categories: people who were opposed to war and people who knew it as a way of life... And we could never really go deeper than that as an audience, figuring out those characters. In conclusion, I guess you could say that GW was kind of an immature entry into the MSG series with a story that seemed really sophisticated and political and complex on the outside, but was really unrealistic and simple on the inside... I can't wait to check out Turn-A gundam.

  • @TaurusType

You forgot that the designs did a Henshin in between the anime and OVA. Completely unexplained and unexplainable thanks to the opening Scene.

The fact that the Wing Gundam's Wings should be big and heavy enough to constantly fall on it's ass (Freedom too) in gravity.

Heero's amazing survival of a 10+ story fall.

Did I mention the fact that Gundanium lead to the Phase Shit Armor Plot device?

  • @KatomaMundara Actually, they DO explain the whole armor transformation from the series to the OVA, but you gotta read the manga that fills in the gap between those two to figure it out, which is unnecessary at best.

And what the hell? I mean, I love the hell outta GW, but really though? Why would you fall in love with a guy who wanted to kill you for seeing him? Like, actually? Where's the realism in that?

  • @TaurusType Relena was badly written and executed as a character, I could understand a fascination with Heero, but to pursue a borderline psychotic?! This however, made me wish that the animals she harrased in the ending sequence would turn on her! (Especially the ones that were large enough to eat her and or trample her!)

  • This give me a more Video Game RPG feel when I hear this. but it fits the Turn-A series well

  • @acicon Maybe because it was...I don't know...composed for the show? lol

  • @Kechiang well yea but for a show about unconventional giant robots, it fits the whole turn-a lore

  • This is the pinnicle of all Gundam....everything about the series was perfect. My only wish was that they went with the original idea of making Lorren a woman. That would have been groundbreaking.

  • @ronnor00 once again sunrise screwed tominio engenius really now how many times screwed up that it messed the company it self....

    Gundam 0079(cancellled before finish)

G-saviuour(he disgreed to make it but wow)

    Victory(just horrible)

F-91(they tired to squeeze 13 episode in 2 hours)

Turn A yeah cross dressing >_>

  • @ronnor001 Well, they had Christine McKenzie in War in the Pocket.

I actually like how things turned out. Loran as a VERY ambiguous boy has it's own charm.

  • Ah the memories . This is my 2nd Fav gundam series , behind only Zeta Gundam .

  • Turn A, has nothing compared to mobile suit gundam, gundam zeta, chars counter attack(Basically everything about char beats it), Gundam wing, and Gundam 00

  • You sir must be trolling. Turn A Gundam is hailed as one of the best Gundams, and in my opinion it is. 00 was kinda shit, Gundam Wing was lolzy at best.

  • @solus48 i love you

  • chars counter attack is mediocre, and Turn A is the pinnacle of tominos work, try harder :3

  • @h0nkyk0ng

Had they made it more like the novel I think it would have been better

  • All hail lelouch...all hail Britannia!!

  • hahahaha! I find you funny.

  • this music call wht name?

  • the fabled Turn A..haven't seen the show but am interested..but looking at the second poster during the video..it looks like a ballet show..

  • It's set in the future or 20th century sorta confusing but not.

  • All Hail Gundam

    All Hail Sunshine Ent.

    All Hail Mecha Anime

    All Hail Lelouch Vi Britannia

  • ALL HAIILLL BRREERRRITANNIAAA

  • @iggsta3o5 fuck yes! i support all 4 of those statements

  • Awesome....

  • when i first hear this song, i love it so much.

and keep listen to it everyday.

  • Comment removed

  • I first time I heard this song was from gather beat 2 on the wonderswan so many years ago. I fell in love with it. :D

  • Turn A has a special place in my heart and a place on my shelf.

  • Turn A Gundam... truly a legendary gundam series! The story, characters, and even mecha battles were awesome. I gave this series a 5/5

  • I think this is the best Gundam ever. Yes I know some don't agree but I love how the artwork and story was portrayed and not over the top action. Very light-hearted. Beautifully composed like music.

  • @Inedrief Which Gundam is it?

  • @jaskozo Turn A Gundam. Underrated. It's a very unique version of a Gundam show. Just started watching it, but so far very much enjoying it. Mobile Suit Gundam 08th MS Team is also a good one. Very different from the others.

  • @KingLantto I knew it! I wasn't able to tell the pic was kinda fuzzy...but Turn A Gundam in my opinion is one of the best series! Mobile Suit Gundam 08th MS Team is pretty good too! Kinda short though! :( Personally though... in my opinion Gundam 00 was horrible! Seed was okay! Destiny was okay! But all Seed was, was just a remade version of the very first Gundam series!

  • Comment removed

  • @jaskozo FINALLY SOMEONE WHO AGREES!

  • @arbiterE27 Agrees on what?

  • @jaskozo SEED copies original gundam

  • @arbiterE27 Well according to Sunrise, Gundam Seed is a slight REMAKE with its own additions to the series! I have to agree that the animation and Gundam models were pretty cool, but the story and the character development were just awful!

  • @jaskozo why does everyone hate on Gundam Seed so much? I've watched both Mobile Suit Gundam and Gundam Seed and I prefer Seed. Like everyone calls Kira a whiny bitch but Amuro whined more....I like that Kira fought without killing! (he was too powerful though)

  • @TheIllustriouBlueJay But flashy animation and nice visuals should NOT be a reason to remake it! They totally ran out of ideas so they just decided "Yeah! We're just gonna remake the original Gundam, with flashy visuals and stuff!" No! Amuro was a whiny bitch, yes! But it was so much more different for the first series of Gundam! But than, making Kira almost the exact same as Amuro (personality wise) was annoying! I want to see new characters! I want to see a new story!

  • @jaskozo if you look closely though, 0083, Zeta Gundam and ZZ Gundam all start off the same (or similarly for ZZ) as the Original Gundam and Seed, but all of them branch off differently with some references/similarities to the other series and end up forming a different story. I love them all. The only thing I don't like is when people complain about the characters being whiny. If you were on a battlefield and your best friend was on the other side, what would you do? I'd try to not kill them.

  • @TheIllustriouBlueJay Yes! And I never said I hated the Seed! In truth, it did have some redeeming qualities! Still though...Seed is a REMAKE of the original Gundam, just buffed up with nice visuals! In trutj, I liked the Mobile Suits from Seed! And the characted designs were refreshing too! And let me tell you, Seed is DEFINATLEY better than 00! But I agree with you! I love them all too!

  • @jaskozo then.......what is this argument about?

  • @TheIllustriouBlueJay I....don't know...but...it's been kinda fun! :D haha whats your favourite series?

  • @jaskozo Wing only because it's the first I saw followed by 0083, the first U.C. Gundam I saw

  • @TheIllustriouBlueJay Well it's deadlocked between the original, Turn A, X, and Wing! I saw Wing first

  • @jaskozo i have to give an honorable mention to G Gundam because THIS HAND OF MINE IS BURNING RED AND IT'S LOUD ROAR TELLS ME TO GRASP VICTORY!

  • @TheIllustriouBlueJay Ahahahaha! Domon! I'll kill you...

  • @TheIllustriouBlueJay

He whined about every opponent he faced, even up through SEED. He absolutely refused to acknowledge the reality of war. Up to the point a noob with an emo complex and incest complex over his sister pwned him. And no, I like Shinn less than Kira.

SEED has far too much to complain about. A majority of people I speak to agree on this. The fact is, SEED is a horrid remake. They took the greatness of gundam that made it loveable (the realism) and butchered it.

  • @KatomaMundara Correction: Even through DESTINY.

  • @jaskozo

    Slight remake my ass.

It stole plot elements from -every- Gundam from UC. And threw them together in the worst possible way.

Phase Shit Armor was a horrid clone of Gundanium.

Kira was a whiney emo bitch who never got the brightslap he deserved.

The Freedom was a plot hole bigger than a Meteor Crater, completely unrealistic in -every- way.

The finale was so fucking stupid I can't even GO there.

SEED. WAS. FAIL. A Majority of people agree.

  • @KatomaMundara OMG! YES! GOOD! People always seem to get so pissed when you say that so i try to not say that and make it seem like seed is "okay"! You're right! I prefer it when it was called Gundanium. Kira's just a pussy...leave it at that! "I DON'T WANNA FIGHT!" "WAAAAH" "BOOHOO" But i have to admit that the Freedom looks pretty cool! It LOOKS pretty cool! FINALLY SOMEONE THAT AGREES WITH ME!!!!!!!

  • @KatomaMundara Just be glad it wasn't G-Saviour. I saw a mere five seconds of it here on YouTube, at which point, I died a little inside AND lost faith in humanity at the same time.

  • at least we have turn a, the most powerful gundam in existence. along with the phoenix gundam.

  • @KingLantto hell yeah, the 8th MS team was AWESOME

  • @Inedrief

The action scenes, while sometimes rare, were always perfectly animated and choregraphed. I choose that over cut and paste action scenes any day.
