@zachng Actually, Claudia and Frieda are quite mature because they are able to look see the sadness of society not as an individual failure, but as a society brainwashed by centuries of hate.
That was good I never thought they did a play off of this. You think you have the rest of videos of this play. This was one of my favorite books I love it Toni Morrison did a great job on this on.
thumbs up if Blackboard brought you here

this is good - makes me want to see the whole thing. I just finished the book, and it's depressing, but powerful. Really makes you think.

the girl that plays Maureen Peal sounds like Michelle Trachenburg, that girl who played in Ice Princess. I know its not her but sound just like her

they should have sounded immature.. like a bunch of kids.... that's the whole point of the novel (or at least the use of Claudia and the girls)

they are over-acting.

@hisboo911 It's Theater; the acting vehicle is used in a big way on stage. You would perceive it differently if you were in the studio audience.

We have to read this book in my contemporary literature class.
I don't care for it much. Its very sing song.
Though I'm more into literature like "City of Glass" that we also had to read, that book was awesome.

I remember reading this part. Well done.

"Nobody's father would be naked in front of his own daughter. Not unless he was dirty, too".
Talk about foreshadowing.
