  • Great work!

  • That's so cool..

  • that is a lovely tune, you play quite well! how long have you been playing?

  • beautifully done

  • Hahaha cool! You have a comment from the niece of the inventor of the SweetStick - here's a comment from the Great Grandson of Luke Thomasson, the writer of the song! Good job!

  • Thank you and Awesome... I feel like I have 'arrived'.... it's a beautiful song and it's nice to see your connection to your great grand dad!

    Blessings!

  • Wonderfully done!!!!

  • Awesome! You bought it from my uncle. He invented them and that's the only place you can buy the real thing. :)

  • @nbbrulez11

lol, If your uncle invented the strumstick then no its not the only place to buy the real thing. Their called minstrel dulcimers. Check them out.

  • i think another name for it is the dulcitar?

  • where did you get this from and how much are they

  • that's some really nice playing, and such a great sound.

  • I hope you are still loving your SweetStick! I still play mine everyday. I posting some of the new music I have been working on with my "Stick". Give em a listen if you get a chance.

  • Wow! Thats Real cool! Nice Playing!

  • Watch this video...

    Type in: Mable Song

    Its good!

  • You're right, it's not quite in tune as it's just a bit flat, but not too much. I'm sure she'll hold a better tune before long. It just need to acclimate to its new environment!

Sounds really cool! I wish I had one of those to use on my recordings.

  • Awesome.. I've played one of these at a music shop once. I like playing dulcimers too. I have an Indian instrument called a "gopichand" that's only 1 string and has an old violin-type tuner. It's cool though, you squeeze 2 pieces of wood to change pitches and stuff. I'll do a video soon :)

  • Very nice and unusual on You Tube. 5 stars for sure and thank you.

  • I love it Janice!

  • man!sweet sounds coming out of that sweet stick!

cuts down to the soul!!!love it

  • Hey thats pretty cool! I've never seen one of those. I have seen gourd banjos but never that instrument! I like playing that tune also. I like your pace better than mine...Mine is too fast. I try and remember to post it. I play it on a DDAD fiddle.

  • What a curious instrument!!

Just a day of playing only?

    Wow!! It sounds great! :D

  • Great, really cool and funny sound. It would be a great add to my guitar collection, as well as a banjo. Thanks for shared that one.

  • Everytime I come to your page there's something impressive awaiting for me! I didn't even know what that was! Dulcimer, huh? Well that thing sounds good right there, once again, great job!

  • Very Nice Pickin'!

    Good Sound,too.

  • Nice and easy instrument

  • Nice picking!

    Are you a dulcimer player?

  • No... but I've been trying to learn the fiddle and this tuning is a little bit like it, but it really is very easy - being diatonic (you can't hit a wrong note). Glad you liked it!
