I live right on Lake Ontario in Irondequoit and see these same lights. Orange orbs that fade in and out. These are not flares or search and rescue.

One nigjt in chili when I was younger I remember looking out window and saw what looked like 6 or 8 planes just hovering in the air I used my freq sweeper but notjing from airport was related to it

When was this ? Please contact me!! I saw the same exact thing but 30ft. in the air in my pine trees after dusk. ( I was 200 ft. away) (South East and the sun was already set)This is no joke I live in Webster, NY about 2 miles off the lake and saw this exact same orange hanging orb that hung around for 2 mins and went out just like that ?!?!

My friend and I saw the exact same thing tonight. We went out to look at the International Space Station going by Rochester at 6:05 according to the news and thought this was it at first. It was flashing red and blue and not moving. We went out a little later to see if it was still there but was gone.

i'm from rochester ny, i've seen this over lake ontario more than once...i have seen ufo's all over rochester..in 98 i saw my first one, then since about 2005 i have noticed them more than frequent...

I'm from Toronto ON Canada and i have been seeing the same thing over the past couple of nights its like you said its not a star cause its not high enough and its not a boat because its to high off the lake. i would see the object and look away for a second and see that the object is Magically Disappear and show up a little ways away and just sit there and then disappear again and just keeps repeating

Thats a flare dropped from a C-130.. if you listen to a marine radio you can hear the plane dropping them for search and rescue.

I saw something similar to your sighting just last week (July 2nd) approx 10:40pm just north and west of Whitby, ON Canada. I filmed it too. Check out my you tube video. Interesting I have no idea what I filmed but the look is similar to your video.

Mtpepsi-can you use nightvision or a tripod?? they have cheap nightvision and apparently it enhances the image !! Great video...also i would try to shoot longer videos if possible,fading in on the object or away to show some type of land mass or lighted structures on land...these types of different techniques help clarify and make the video more harder to classify as being fake or hoaxed..i have seen this light before in Ontario but not over the lake..

I live on lake shore right there on the beach. i have been seeing this for the past 16 years where are you filming from? I have called the coast guard about this and they tell everyone that they are flares from canada, but people in canada say they dont know what it is either... I flashed a million candlewatt power spotlight at it and it disappears but then a couple min after you leave it alone it pops right back up.

ive been going to the lake for the past 8 years now since i first seen the lights, no lies or exaggerations, from a spot on the shore in cobourg ontario, ive seen hundreds of the lights in a clump a few times, other times upwords of 5 or 6 doing formations in a clear night sky full moon about 100 feet off the water, they go in and out of the water reflecting off the waters surface, had one come as close as 30 feet from me, looked like a firey eye super bright, i telepath with them aswell.

Continuing the previous comment: The object made no sound I could detect. Of course I heard the engines of the jets. This occured in the late 90's approx 11 PM while I was anchored at a beach about a mile west of Sandy Creek in Hamlin.

Looks like a candle in a minature saran wrap hot air balloon, on a nice calm summer night. I saw something once though over Lake Ontario I can't explain. It looked like somebody was dangling a flashlight on a string and jerking it around, It stayed in one place but was reorientating as I described rapidly. It looked like it was over 10,000 feet up. I saw two fighter jets approaching, the object winked out. The jets circled the spot for 5 minutes or so and they took off back the way they came.

I live on Edgemere in Greece. I've seen these objects and they went into the water. There was usually 2 in sight and as one descended into the lake, the second one would continue the same patter and a new one would show up.

i lived near lake Ontario my whole life (Webster and East Irondequoit NY) and back in fall 2005 my windows were all open cause that fall was pretty warm it was approximately 9 - 10 o'clock and i went to go look out my window for no reason to see something hovering 50 feet above my house with 4 bright lights slowly hovering west and was dead silent ( so don't tell me it was a helicopter) and i was amazed by it.

I've seen somthing like this. You discribe it like what I saw too.  Just a warm orange glow with no halo.. But when it dissapeard it lit up bright and a whitish light halo appeard for a quick second and then it was gone.

Great footage. I have seen this object over Lake Ontario. I first saw it at Webster Park on Lake Road. The illumination of the object disappeared at one point, then reappeared. Am I correct? I figured that it could have been jokers out on a boat. But once I began to see the various cast's of light that it was given off, it seemed much more technological than some kind of grand scheme. Possibly a nuclear plant test? Anyways, my compliments to your footage.

OH, and AgentEnigma I gues you have never heard of Lake Ontario, but it is one of the Great Lakes Up-North. From where that house is, the only thing on the other side of the water is Canada!!!! So no mountains or structures!!!!

First of all the diamond shape is caused by the Bokeh effect of the camera internal lenses when zooming in. Second, it would be nice to daylight footage from the exact same position and the exact focal point you were filming.  That way we could see if any hills or mountains with manmade structures are visible from that position.

If it was that far away how do you know it wasnt a boat. Maybe you cant tell at that distance if it is too high to be a boat. Do lights look like that that far out?
