I'll never forget seeing a woman on a packed bus ride through Turkey. She was with her husband and children, without hejab. Upon arrival at our destination, she proceeded to put on the two layers of Turkish head scarf used to ensure all her hair is covered. Why wear it now, when mean on the bus could see it the whole way? I assume they must have been visiting judgmental relatives, or worried that people in the street would look down on them. Another guess is she did not want to do her hair!

Yeah read the Quran again.Jilbab is explained in 33:59 (Surah Al-Ahza) and hijab in Surah an-Nur 24:31.If that is not enough, then read a Tafseer and the hadiths that explain this.Pls note that it was until this verses were revealed that arabs started to dress like that in a regular way, otherwise they would hardly cover themselves. Now if people dont use them is just because they have weak knowledge and feith.
