I'm a liberal in its truest sense. Know what that means? Means i follow the practice of both economic and social liberalism ( liberalism referring to the European definition). I believe therefore in low taxation coupled with very limited govt. intervention into the social sphere, somethimg very much like Ron Paul would champion. This of corse takes the elements of both major parties, and leaves me feeling that yes, an intrusion into Bristol's life is unacceptable, i also oppose pro life bills.
This is one of the only times I've heard Mort Kondracke say something worthwhile. Bristol Palin's pregnancy is the perfect illustration of the total failure and unbelievable waste of money of the abstinence only teaching that Sarah Palin supports whole heartedly.
Many, not all, States set the age of consent at 18 or higher. The belief being that a person cannot have reached a level of maturity to make the decision whether to have a sexual encounter. By making the decision for them the Law states that any sexual encounter with a minor is against that minor's will and therefor rape. So on it's surface it is not dumb at all. It is formulated on a wish to protect minors from exploitation by adults. Even if both parties are minors.
teach abstinence = be a grand mother
teach safe sex = be a parent happy to see his children happy enjoying life and his youth and choosing when he will have a baby

Technically was a Lecturer ('92-'96) four years then a Senior Lecturer for the next eight('97-'04). During that 12 year period he did the following in additional his work at U of C: Work at a small(12 people) law firm(93- 04), Project Vote ('92), started and/or served on several boards of organizations that dealt with public matters(7 by my count), State Senate (97-04), then Won US Senate in '04. Not bad for a someone who suppose wrote nothing and only made in life due to affirmative action.

How does a non pro choice candidate say they respect choice? They're the very people who want to come into your homes and force you to not make a choice. They want to take the CHOICE away from you. I'm a liberal in its truest sense. Know what that means? Means i follow the practice of both economic and social liberalism ( liberalism referring to the European definition). I believe therefore in low taxation coupled with very limited govt. intervention into the social sphere, somethimg very much like Ron Paul would champion. This of corse takes the elements of both major parties, and leaves me feeling that yes, an intrusion into Bristol's life is unacceptable, i also oppose pro life bills.

Many, not all, States set the age of consent at 18 or higher. The belief being that a person cannot have reached a level of maturity to make the decision whether to have a sexual encounter. By making the decision for them the Law states that any sexual encounter with a minor is against that minor's will and therefor rape. So on it's surface it is not dumb at all. It is formulated on a wish to protect minors from exploitation by adults. Even if both parties are minors.
