to get 1,000 worth of credits, just save the umgah by battling 10 mind conrolled umgah ships and capture the talking pet. after you capture the dnyarri, talk to the umgah at the first planet(or other planets because im not sure) on beta orionis and say to them anything on the sentence options after you say goodbye, they will give you 4 of their drone ships but do not battle them just escape. call the melnorme then sell all the info you've gotten from the umgah(but go first below umgah space)

There isn't actually an answer encoded in the game since it's impossible to get 12mil credits.
If you must know though, the answer is based on a study carried out in real life as to which colour catches your eye most while shopping... you guessed it, it was good ol' purple.
