  • miss my country soo much...cant wait to go for a vacation..:) thanks for the video

  • I spent 12 days there in 2000. Utterly amazing. A life changing experience. I encourage all of you not to delay going. Go while it is still unexploited.

  • im considering going there right now. reasons:

    1. one of the least populated countries (im really sick of people right now)

    2. a relatively christian country (im not a christian, but was brought up in this kind of world)

    3. the nature is undescribeable (all big african animals, ocean, dessert)

    4. hot weather

  • Thank you so much for posting this video and showing us all the beauty of this wonderful place, a must see destination.

  • Looks like a great place to go camping and cruising through the dunes. I would love to see that skeleton coast in person.

  • Looks like a great place to go camping and cruising through the dunes.

  • WOW! amazing!

  • @penzerblitz43 u need to shut up ur mouth coz seals are nothing

ther ar countries in this world that are killing people

as if thy ar killng birds,so seals ar jst animals en

people kill thm to use thir skin....

  • Namibia is the first country in the world to include protection of the environment and sustainable utilization of wildlife in its Constitution.

@PanzerBlitz43 is just another confused twat like many others not knowing what to believe anymore in this crazy world of disinformation so they have to criticize, seek out negativities and point fingers - it's what makes them sleep at night.

  • Seems to be a beautiful country. Impressive video!

  • Namibia the most beautiful country in the world!love it!!

  • i hate you @penzerblitz43,gt hel out of my country,

  • PantzerBlitz43.You have no idea what you're talking about.Get your facts straight and do yourself a favor. For the sake of your next generation.Don't allow them to make illiterate statements based on ill inform.Get reading !!!! Idiot.

  • Namibia is a terrorist country, and it's president is a white controlled colonial criminal. Heard about Canada's seal slaughter? When they were banned in Europe, Namibia took over as the most cruel and bloodthirsty country in Africa and in the world. Their corrupt dictatorship supports torture and slaughter of seals young and old in lakes of screaming blood. DO NOT VISIT NAMIBIA OR BUY ANY OF THEIR PRODUCTS.

  • @PanzerBlitz43 I had never heard of that but after googling it (making me not even want to look further than the brief text with the hits, which is how horrendous it was) I see you are not exaggerating. Do you know if anything is done about this?

  • @PanzerBlitz43 P.S. I just found something... Thank you for making people aware!

if you google namibian seal slaughter

the first hit says Stop the World's Cruellest Seal cull (etc). There you can add your name to a petition.

  • Namibia is amazing :) I lived there for 2,5 years and would love to go back some day.

  • @JasmineEsMi they are backward people, what have african people invented apart from corruption and wars?

  • @Jimmyretired I beg your pardon? I'm half african you have no bloody right to say a comment like that which is also totally uncalled for! I came on here to write a nice comment about a gorgeous country that I love, and you're throwing racist crap back at me? By the way, you do know that the human race originated in Africa right?

  • @JasmineEsMi I am aware however we have evolved and those that remained in africa did not evolve

  • soviel Sand :-)

  • This is what make Namibia unigue plus it's people.Feel free and live!

  • This is what make Namibia unigue plus it's people

  • Namibia is incredible

  • @MarkzQUAliTY Agree - it's beyond beatiful :)

  • now watch this with led zeppeline- kashmir in the background

  • It would be better off economically if given back to Germany.

  • @JOSHTRUS why?? you think we cant make it economically better ourselves??

  • I went there last year. Amazing experience. Went treking, cooked for myself, met new people, got to go dune-boarding (so awesome, but I fell twice XD) and went up to Dune 45 and watched the sunrise. Namaibia is a beautiful country :)

  • Beautiful! Been there twice, enjoy it thouroughly!

  • In February 2011 I'll be in Namibia. =D

  • I have just finished wrioting a book about Namibia.should be in the shops in a year.

  • Namibia is my dream too

  • Is the government stable? I would love to start a business there!

  • Namibia needs to focus on attracting more manufacturing to the country to reduce unemployment and sustain economic growth. It has to do this while maintaining natural beauty. It can be done.

  • Namibia is one of my biggest dream in life!!! I am from BRAZIL and I would love to visit one day!

    GREAT VIDEO!!!!

  • I went to Namibia last year, it was absolutely amazing, id recommend anyone to go if you have the cash.

  • I definitely want to travel to Namibia. I'm afraid if I go there, I won't come back. I've had a strong desire to visit that country since watching Steel Dawn with Patrick Swayze

  • @daugenstine You should go its incredible. We did a self drive around it, unbelievable.

  • hahaa going to namibia in a year and a half! cant wait looks sooo nice! :D

  • @ammaco Its amaaazzzinggg!!!

Not many people though.. Second most deserted country on the planet.

  • Professionell gemacht! Gibt einen tollen Einblick über das faszinierende Land

  • Namibia seems to be on the right track. I'm loving the untamed wilds.

  • avatar anyone

  • I really thing that nature is one true national value, and seeing the desert and the animals is what clearly makes me be interested in Namibia and any other country in Africa... Unlike other continents, Africa is the most well preserved continent in terms of nature and culture, it's authentic... With the nowadays tendency of making things the same, it's great to see a country which sticks to its original values!

  • I want to see the cities and people and towns, not the dessert and saffari

  • @Ghana02 Then come visit the cities..you can come see me if you want....

  • God I would love to go there. If only I had the money.

  • my very own. land van melk en heuning.

  • Want to go back...

  • When you are there, it is actually better than i looks in the film. The people there can sing so well that they actually make Africans sound good.

  • How would you like it if I said the people in your country actually make your people sound good?

  • WOW AWESOME COUNTRY I WANT TO GO tHERE NOW

  • ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, NAMIBIA ROCKS!

  • I HAVE POSTED QUITE A FEW PHOTOS/CLIPS ON WEBSHOTS. YOU CAN VIEW THEM BY DOING A SEARCH ON "coopec100"

  • namibia is the greatest country I've ever seen

  • great

  • Go 4x4 there in swakopmund one of the funnest things I have ever done!!!!

  • Tourism and mining of precious stones and metals form the backbone of Namibia's economy. The nation has suffered heavily from the effects of HIV and AIDS; one in seven are estimated to be living with AIDS, and the number affected by HIV is feared to be even higher.

  • @Hosea22 every country got its downs and ups, that can be ours down but believe me its not as it seemed to be written in books...lets go there and I'll proove you wrong...

  • Following negotiations Namibia obtained full independence from South Africa on 21 March 1990. Namibia's independence came in conjunction with South Africa's withdrawal from Angola and became governed by a democratically elected President, Prime Minister, Cabinet and National Assembly. Namibia is one of Africa's most developed and stable countries, with a stable multiparty parliamentary democracy and an estimated population of 1,820,916.

  • I have the oppertunity to go to namibia next march but i seen a report that their president is going to go down the same route as Mugabe by killing white people and taking their land. do you think i should still do it?

  • thats a lie!

  • @BritishJonathan1 Really don't need to worry man. I'm a white Namibian and everything is easy going and happy. Maybe the greatest country in the world. Make sure you drink a Tafel Lager. DEFINITELY the best beer in the world.

    Hope you decide on coming.

  • @BritishJonathan1 Thats is false. Our presidents are not rascist. Hope you change your mind :)

  • Namibia, however, remained under South African administration during this time. Namibian leaders longed for independence and commenced guerrilla activities, especially in the north. In 1970, SWAPO made alliances with Fidel Castro who sent Cuban troops to join SWAPO-forces in their struggle for independence. These actions forced South Africa to install an interim administration in Namibia in 1985.

  • In 1966, local uprisings and letters sent by traditional African leaders like Hosea Kutako forced the United Nations to assume direct responsibility over the territory, changing the name to Namibia in 1968 and recognizing the South West Africa Peoples Organization (SWAPO) as the official representative of the Namibian people in 1973.

  • It was visited by the British and Dutch missionaries during the late 18th century, but became a German protectorate in 1884. In 1920, the League of Nations mandated the country to South Africa, which imposed their laws and apartheid policy without bounds.

  • Namibia is a member state of the United Nations (UN), the Southern African Development Community (SADC), the African Union (AU), the Commonwealth of Nations and many other international organizations. It has been given many names: the land of contrasts, the land God made in anger, the ageless land. For many years it was known only as South West Africa, but it adopted the name Namibia, after the Namib Desert. It is the second most sparsely populated country in the world, after Mongolia.

  • Namibia, officially the Republic of Namibia, is a country in Southern Africa whose western border is the Atlantic Ocean. It shares borders with Angola and Zambia to the north, Botswana and Zimbabwe to the east, and South Africa to the south and east. It gained independence from South Africa on 21 March 1990 following the Namibian War of Independence. Its capital and largest city is Windhoek (German: Windhuk).

  • Wonderful! Thank you :-)

In 16 Days I will be there :-)

  • I was in Namibia around 18 months ago. My happiest memories are that of the beautiful animals in Etosha Pan and the luxurious lodges. I found the barbed wire, high fences, AK47s and backyard rottweilers quite depressing. Windhoek is a lovely city. I have posted various film clips of people going about their everyday lives.

  • Absolutely great!!! I was in Namibia in 1998 and i cant forget this wonderfull land.

    Greatings from Germany; Chris

  • Thank you, masters.

  • One of the best videos ever wtched by me on Youtube. Amazing country where I've been living for more than one year now. Thanks to the team that produced this piece of art about the most wonderful country of Africa.

  • Talking, movement, paints, viedeos and many other are ways the humans have to express emotions, feelings, ideas; and from my view, this video complies to this matter 100%, it makes experience Namibia from your PC, it makes feel the heat of its desert, surrounded by animals in Etosha, or even the peace of Dagmara Land, it doesnt matter if u r watching it from Manhattan.

  • thank you :)

  • lived there for 2 years the best 2 years so far:)

  • Everybody is welcome to contact me for information about this wonderful country

    Ulrich

  • This is fantastic. My wife and I have visited Namibia many times, and you have truly captured its essence and ambiance.

  • Sida !hub ge Namibiaba,There is no place like home

Shit, i wanna go home, miss my country:-(((

  • Great Video

Somebody knows the titles of the video music???

  • Outstanding video, Tate!

  • I am a surfer and have heard great things about the beaches there. However, is it a stable place? Would hate to go and end up in the middle of a civil war or something of that nature.

  • You could not find a safer place!

    Its spectacular

  • Spectacular - I really liked it!

  • nella namibia ci sn le volpi bubolose

  • Seems like a beautiful place to go to. Shame about the cheetah population. Just read about it now. Hope they stop hunting them. But wow very nice place.

  • FANTASTIC - Thank You!

  • I must say, this is a very nice country and it has been discovered already by so many people. That means, more tourist will go there and the wild life will be disturbed.. more and more people will travel to this place.. more people will think about opening a business here cuz of the tourism industry and it will destroy the whole preservation of this country.. hopefully people who will tour the country should respect the wildlife and also the country.. don't go overboard.. nice video btw

  • I love this country. It's Africa's best kept secret. A beach in the desert, what's not to love? It's a really gr8 place, and visiting it is a good idea (low crime r8, little pollution, a leader in eco-frendliness...& (as DSTV would say) so much more)

  • Namibia is a feeling, once you have been there you'll yearn to go back. The red sand dunes in Sossusvleim the scenery between the distant towns and the hundreds of animals in Etosha are inbelievable. I never tire of visiting.

  • take us with you!

  • WOW!!! namibia is such a beautiful country

  • thx very nice place

    i love this video

  • Hi,

I have been to Namibia 4 years ago. In June I will go again. Visiting friends and enjoy the country. It is a great video. I also like the music, can you tell the name of the music ??

    Greetings Paul from Amsterdam

  • thanks tateshilumb! for youre video and advise..if ever you wanna know something about england let me know!...peace! the krowsta

  • Oh, got it... just couldn't wait till the end. :D

    Sorry

  • I like the music. Anyone knows it?

  • Really good realization. But still apearing the typical pseudotouristic-kind entertainment activities and accomodations which give people wrong ideas of travelling, of living, of discovering earth's and people's realities and cultures. Thank you for the great images from nature!

  • I will be there in less than a month!! Looking forward to a camping safari to Etosha and also around Northern Namibia. i am sure that it will live up to my expectations!

  • Wow, this video is excellently edited and really seems to give such an insight into Namibia.

I am going there on a World Challenge Expedition, and I was really unsure as to whether Namibia would be the greatest place to go - I thought it was just desert and elephants. I was wrong!

I am really looking forward to my trip now, and I can even see the absolute wonder of how vast and beautiful the Namib Desert is!

    Thank you so much!

  • Took a 2 week road trip starting in namibia, going throught Botswana, into Zimbabwe back to Namibia. Namibia is by far the most interesting country on the trip

  • The most spectacular country in the world. From a proud Namibian!

  • You aught to be proud, it's a wonderful country (and I am a South African!).

  • An absolute Divine Country...Thanx for keeping us on the map...Proud Namibian...BevLeigh xxx
