  • I was there, it was wonderful!! the sound and lights shows were amazing!! And I like all those new songs, it sounds magical and it's technically impressive!! Thank you for that great moment! One of the best rock band ever!

  • how can someone dictate what they 'MUST' play, its up to the band and no one else.

  • you're right

and for me, it was the best concert of rock werchter!

  • i don't have a radiohead best song and i think that's the reason they're one of my favorites.i just trust them

  • What the hell? It was fantastic! You even do not deserve it to listen to their songs! Arrogant? And the sound? At the first note, I had tears in my eyes.

  • At the end of the day, they were there for the fans, and the fans don't really want to see Creep etc, we want the new stuff. We want obscure album tracks etc, and it was amazing!

  • That's right my friend!

  • 100% agreed... savage set they played that night.

  • i was there and i don't care what songs radiohead play because the songs are still theirs and they still decide which ones they play!

  • once again- your a bitch :P

    (for going :P)

Actually national anthem is one of my favorite songs by radiohead. pretty much all of kid a is so amazing

  • Sure, they could have played creep, karma police and no suprises, but it wouldn't have fitted in with their trippy, freaky set (and show). Being as big as they are, Radiohead can experiment to whatever extent their artistic minds want to. I have the utmost respect for these guys for not fading away behind their platinum records that any idiot can sing along to, by constantly trying new things and keeping their real fans on the edge of their seats.

  • No hits?

I thought Just, Paranoid Android and Idioteque were hits, and they played them. They got a new album, more than 100 songs. Do you expect them to play only their hits (that they already played 1000 times)?

Personaly I'm happy they played songs like National Athem and Optimistic.

    Thanks for the video.

  • atchem- FUCK YOU

i was in liege and lueven the day of the concert and was going to go but didn't have a place to stay that night. i had to go over to brussels- damnit belgium with no night trains.

thanks for posting a vid though, looks really fun

  • At last a band with balls. They do what they want with no commercial interest, Love it.

  • no commercial interest? yeah right

do you have any idea how much publicity they got from their 'free' album??? I admit, it was brilliant marketing, but nonetheless it was definitely marketing. I love radiohead, but what you said about em is just plain naive.

And they're rich as hell; it's easy to not care as much about money when you can swim in it.

  • You are definitely right about it being easy to don't care about money if you have enough. Yet almost every band keep playing songs they don't like anymore just to please the fans that only know the hitsingles. I like it radiohead choses the songs they like to play instead of being forced into playing only hits.

I guess I should replace the word commercial with attention.

  • well i can agree to that

but you have to agree that the rainbows album was basically a big commercial stunt, which worked out great.

  • na mai ki egw!

polu kala ta videakia apo to werchter, bravo!

  • I also was there, I have seen radiohead live 5 times, the sound in Werchter was amazing, the best radiohead concert I have ever seen, undoubtely.

Greetings to all the people who was there like me! :P

  • I was there :)

  • Wtf, you think honey and the bends were better? I suppose you like it up the ass too then

  • they were amazing, setlist great, they do what they want, love it, no hits, i´m still in the flow of the festival.....

  • Haha, as if they care! They have a new album out people! So, they will play it live...and keep the rest of their setlist enjoyable for themselves...and the 'real' fans!

  • radiohead was very good! but sigur ros is the greatest!!!!!

  • Was at the front for both and i must admit that sigur ros bored the shit out of me

  • sigur ros were the best act there

    so brilliant

    rodiohead smashed it too tho

  • jaja sigur ros was my favourite too, they were fantastic. they really made for a great atmosphere.

  • it was amazing, too bad they are to stubborn to play all their hits, but no one can make them if they don't want to. paranoid android was the best moment of entire werchter

  • i do agree, paranoid android was the best fucking moment in my life i guess, so amazing ..

  • not my life, about everything Muse played last year at werchter makes me freak out even alot more :p

  • they should pay more attention to what people want, those people pay them, and if you make music and records, it shouldn't matter if you have to play it a thousand times, you made it, it made your succes, so play it, you don't need to play all the hits, but at least a few, the new numbers need some attantion to, otherwise no one will learn to like them, but anyway, it was still very good

  • People who thought they were going to play creep or karma obviously don't know the band as well as others do, and those others (who have paid more, they made us choose, remember?) didn't want their hits, because they have got songs that are way better than creep.

  • where you even there?

i don't need to hear creep anymore, but younger people should be able to hear it live, so they can go further down the ladder and start listening to song that are less well known, but are at least as beautiful as karma

  • Yes, I was there, squeezed in the front, and since I am 16, I think I can speak for the younger fans. I thought their set was great, because I know them, I don't think they were their to please people who only know their hits. There are people who were broken just by hearing thom's voice, like me, and there are people who left after four songs. I think that the people in the first category are the one that should get what they want. And we did.

  • If that's a question for me? ; YES!!! (and loved every minute of it!!!)

  • They should have played more hits, that's true, but it as NOT a boring show! I -personally- thought it was one of the best concerts! But that's because I know all the songs they played.

I can't help but thinking you thought Sigur Ros was boring too?

What is your idea of 'good music' then?

  • "good music" is hard to define...i really enjoyed REM, Black Box Revelation, Justice, Lenny Kravits, The Racounteurs..Digitalism was great too, am not saying radiohead is a bad band, but i personally thought it was a boring show...

  • sigor ros was amazing!!

radiohead, I respect them.. but it was a little bit boring..

I love their music, but I was so tired..

  • yes, I had the same. I find radiohead awsome but sigur ros is live better

  • sigur ros are no way near as good as radiohead live, sigur ros draw out their songs, they are all too alike...and they rely on the whole "epic"side of their music to create a buzz,a great band but they don;t match radiohead for a second

  • radiohead is awsome but there show was sometimes a bit boring (not that it was bad or something). maybe I am just disappointed because I espacted to much.

  • i think they were the best band in the whole festival, not sure about other people, but i wasn't bored at all. loved it!!

  • i was really disappointed with their set. they completeley neglected all the tracks most people love them for and were all electrogeek and self-indulgent. Everyone looked bored after the umpteenth track off In Rainbows, and Yorke even joked about the lack of interest the audience had. So its not what anyone wanted and tonnes of people left during it.

  • You were fast in putting this up here! Thanks! They were amazing! Loved every moment of their gig, not the greatest hits show the majority of the crowd wanted to hear I guess.. But hey, I had goose bumps!

  • Wish I was there.

    Baler.

  • the beste liveband die er is, ongelooflijk....
