hey! for once i know more about the origins of a word than you :þ "kara" comes from "garagara" which is an onomatopoeic word for empty, and "okesutora" is a japan-ization of the english "orchestra" if you're wondering why garagara can become kara, it's because in japanese the symbol for "ga" is made by putting two dashes in the top right corner of the symbol for "ka" so the transition is natural in japanese. There you go another mystery solved and be good my studients LOL just kidding
