Sif was the boss I probably spent the most time trying to defeat... that circle double spin move killed me everytime. He had killed me so many times by just spamming that attack, I had no regrets when I finally killed him. Then again, I never did see him limp. That could have given me second thoughts.

You dont have to kill Sif. He is optional. The item he has is also dropped by a different monster. I forget which one though. Its in the guide book.

I felt SO sorry for Sif. Such a great beast, victorious in battle countless of times only to be crippled by a random undead. As a Monster Hunter expert, I've never felt sorry for any monster other than Sif. Such an epic boss theme for my favourite boss in the game.

Sif was one of the the more elegantly designed bosses. Most of them were monstrosities and mutilated beasts but Sif had beauty and power that only something as natural as a wolf could embody. I think the music fits extremely well. My frame rate could barely handle Sif's movements.

I remember fighting Sif for the first time. Happily chugging along, not having too much difficulty, thinking "I got this."

Then it started limping. I just backed away, watching it try to attack and fall over - suddenly I remembered that it was just guarding it's master (or lover's because of the curse thing)'s grave, and that I was the intruder. I couldn't even force myself to finish it for a few minutes - with this track in the background. Eventually, I struck it down.

And technicly, whilst most other bosses are monstrosities, this is the only boss in the game where *You're* the invader, you're doing something gruesome to a majestic beast that's only trying to defend it's master's memory. *That's* Why the music's so tragic.

Pay attention to the story, you'll find a much richer experience. : )
