  • what a BS.... "doping through Music".... geeez... Rehovot... ata pashut tembel... !!!

  • pathetic US brains hurted by the truth, as usual and the truth is that the US along with shitfaced australians and shameless liars Brittons are the biggest & most corrupted cheaters of world sport.

As long as those spoken english countries will stay and corrupt the whole IOL we will see their doped robbers steal away hundreds of medals and ruin every sport they jioin to .

But what else can you expect from long time ago barbarian countries out of cheating, getting doped and robbing in soprts ??

  • wtf? NBA? NFL? What are you talking about? Omnislash89 you wrong! Music works on swimming!!! Retard!!!

  • Blackjack, go nutt on someone else's glory. Michael Phelps is a living legend, get used to it.

  • By the way, if listening to music is illegal and should be taken away fro performances, then so should fans be taken away from the NBA, NHL, NFL, MLB venues because the cheers of fans might prove to enhance the home team's performance.

Same logic you're using. Still sounds pointless and illogical.

    Prove me wrong.

  • The statistically significant higher SPO(2) level indicates the "enhancement of oxygen transfer" and implies that "music by the pool" is prohibited by The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) in competition blood-doping method of "the use of products that enhance the uptake, transport or delivery of oxygen", apparently conflicting with the essence of olympism, and WADA calls for "ethics, fair play and honestly".

  • from an article written by Chou LL, Wang RH, Chen SJ, Pai L., the fact is not a theory, it is scientifically proved (J Nurs Res. 2003 Sep;11(3):209-16).

  • ''The results showed that premature infants receiving music therapy with endotracheal suctioning had a significantly higher SPO(2); than that when not receiving music therapy (p <.01), and the level of oxygen saturation returned to the baseline level faster than when they did not receive music therapy (p <.01).

  • ''During a period of 30 minutes after suctioning, the oxygen saturation was recorded every minute to analyze the clinical effects of music therapy.''

  • Shatros, Professor Koudinov from the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences is an antidoping propagandist bent on attacking any doped athlete, Australian swimmers too.

  • I don't care about phelps opinion, The doping journal is an independent watchdog of the ethical and science-based conduct by IOC, WADA, anti-doping labs & sports federations. I prefer to read the opinion of international neuroscientists and biochemists about his performances.

  • ...Altered levels of such substances often indicate doping, so it is hoped the extra tests can help restore credibility to sport.

Phelps said that with the programme he had done all he could do to prove he is clean.

"I did Project Believe, where I purposely wanted to do more tests to prove it," Phelps said. "People can question all they want, but I have the proof and the facts are the facts."'

  • taken from yahoo news 'Phelps is among the US Olympians taking part in a special US Anti-Doping Agency initiative called Project Believe, in which the competitors undergo extensive blood and urine tests beyond World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) rules to create baseline body chemistry readings for hormones and other substances...

  • Interestingly, I just found on the internet a copy of an email sent from a faculty member of Harvard U. to Koudinov requestiong that this Koudinov remove him from his email list. The email includes a quote from Koudinov complaining about not winning the Potamkin Prize.

So this guy even sends harrassing emails to Harvard faculty.

  • Dr. Koudinov has written a letter to president Bush acusing our scientists and doctors of being corupt.

He has also claimed that the IOC uses "faked" drug tests on it's athletes.

It is becoming more and more obvious that this Dr. Koudinov is an anti-American propagandist bent on attacking our athletes. Go ahead, read is so called scientific articles. He mayor may not be an expert on cholesteral and alzheimers but he is a crackpot on the topic of doping.

  • Dr. Koudinov is not a licensed medical dr. He does not practice medicine. His resume states that he has an MD in biochemistry from a University in Russia. An MD in Russia is not necessarily the same as one in the US. For 4 years after receiving his "MD" degree he worked as a research assistant. There is no mention of any internships or residencies treating patients. His few credentials are in cholesteral and alzheimers. He has no credentials on the topic of doping.

  • oh and i checked your little journal comment believe it or not your wrong an athlete has every right to listen to music before a race, one sceintist with no backing who has been pushed back to defending his hypothsis against the everyday public in blog rooms unfortunitly doesn't make someone a cheat it just makes you all look silly for defending him... and right now i'm laughing at you.

  • wow then disqualify half of the competive swimming community no wait even better disqulify any athlete that wears earphone before an event, atheltics cycling etc including the hungarian and italians because i've raced lazio cesh in my youth and beside the fact that the guy is a cock, he wears earphones before a race.

  • Professor Koudinov writes: "The statistically significant higher SPO level indicates the enhancement of oxygen transfer and implies that 'music by the pool' is prohibited by The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) in competition blood-doping method of the use of products that enhance the uptake, transport or delivery of oxygen, apparently conflicting with the essence of olympism, and WADA calls for ethics, fair play and honestly".

  • If you are going to quote WADA get it right. The 2008 WADA prohibited list does not in any way mention music. Check it out on their website WADA (dash) AMA (dot) org.

  • I just checked on this. Dr. Koudinov's theory is just that, a theory. It is based entirely on a 2003 study of 30 premature infants. The study was preliminary and the findings inconclusive. It has not been verified or duplicated by any other scientific research. FYI, a sample of 30 without a double blind control, as in the case of this study, does not conform to recognized scientific methods of research. Even if it had used a standard method, the sampling size is statistically insignificant.

  • Sorry shatros, but he's right. This fact is known ever since 2004. Try reading the doping journal.

  • Fact? Known by whom? I have never heard of this. What medical journal has this been published in? Volume, Issue?

  • The Doping Journal is a creation of Dr. Koudinov. He has sole creative control. No scientific body of peers reviews the content prior to publication as in a normal medical journal. Therefore, it does not qualify as a medical journal. The Doping Journal is nothing more than a blog created by Dr. Koudinov for the sole purpose of promoting fantasies he cannot prove and no legitimate medical journal will publish.

  • Dr. Koudinov failed to convince either the IOC or WADA that his theory has any merit. Now he is trying something new. His next bizarre claim is that the new style of swimwear that Mr. Phelps uses has magically given him super powers. At best there may be an aerodynamic advantage. The IOC has ruled that such does not constitute an unfair advantage. I do not know what is behind his agenda of attack but I predict that in 4 years he will make yet one more unprovable bizarre claim about Mr Phelps

  • Michael Phelps??? Doped??? OMG, I didn't know. I was reading the dopingjournal, it's a shame. :-O

  • You are a crackpot full of crap. That is such a bizarre statement that it could only have come from someone in serious need of the services of a mental health professional. Seriously, see a doctor.

Perhaps you're the one who needs to just say no to drugs. I am guessing you're pretty high right now.

Or did you forget to put on your aluminum foil hat today? Watch out for those alien mind control rays! Oops! Too late!
