  • Sickening how he related all the lyrics to exercise, yet also about him being the best. Double entrendres for days.

  • This beats any song Nas done, he killed it. Wonder if he freestyled this.

  • @KryptonDaVillain I dont know about any but it's dope

  • 2 ALL MY HATER I STRUGGLIN WIT UNDEVELOPE MUSLES........AHHH

  • This is my Basketball game song. You see number 24 shooting around with studio beats before the game, yeah that's me!!

  • @GoofyFlow kobe?

  • @GoofyFlow kobe?

  • ***I'm catching my second wind the second the first one end***

  • <<<<<Decoded

  • does everyone have 2 spell out those gay ass mixed up words?

  • this beat is the shit

  • Im far from bein god but i work god damn hard......man jay z is a monster

  • Is probably the best word-play song I've ever heard.

    JAY-Z=Da best rappa ever

  • @OdiseyThe, u need to breath easy..... what u mean jay started and cormega continued it? this is cormega's song "dead man walking from the 95'/96' testament circa, jay rapped over this around 2002.....

  • breathe easy.

  • Notice this has been here 2 years and not many views? Yet people talk a lot shit about Jay as if they were in the loop.

  • Jay-Z is the best MC alive. Biggie is the G.O.A.T. They both record albums straight off the top with no pen and pad.

  • @giftedindividuals man, I hesitate to throw shots but u need to widen your audial horizons, my dude. Sales don't equal greatness- Pharoahe Monch or Talib Kweli can lyrically *murder* Jay and embarrass the ish out of him- and that would be *before* they came out of a coma- but Jay definitely gets his flow on, now and again. Even christian rappers- I dare u to check out my man 'Da T.R.U.T.H.- *that* dude is straight up riDICULOUS. And I ain't even christian.

  • @fizno The thing that sets Jay-Z apart from guys like Talib, is the fact that Jay gives you every element of hip-hop on one album. I respect Talib. Dude can lyrically murder Jay. Lyrics aren't everything though. Jay can give you bars, simple shit you can just ride to, party to and he kicks real shit. He's a better Artist then Pharoahe Monch and Talib.

  • @EffinD0p3 u got points but a better artist?

    Nah.

    Not even close.

    But opinions are opinions, right?

    Peace

  • @fizno jay z shits on talib kweli

  • @805fillmore you sir, are in need of medication.. ha haaa....

  • @fizno haha this niggaa. does talib have a classic album? nope.

  • @giftedindividuals look for 'this is for you' by da truth. sick.

  • Jay-hova.

  • "rap on steroids"

  • i used 2 work out to this shit in the joint niggas aint know it was on the blueprint. u just gotta let the last song play if you got the cd and you will hear it..... sp again

  • Jay-z started it, cormega continued it, and lloyd banks murdered it

  • @MrMike93100 fuck eminem

  • that is soooooooo hot that he's taking about he's life experience ways through exercise But Yo! Give Jay-z Credit, Member he's saying this shit off the top of his head he doesn't write this shit down at all WOW!! that's nothing but GOD!

  • whoever is putting Jay Z as the best rapper needs to listen to a little biggie, pac, big L and nas... Can someone tell me how a rapper bites so much like J but still gets respect.

  • @27tgard Jay already explained this you fucking bum. He doesn't bite, he recites the lines because they should be lines people should mesmerize. He's used lines from Biggie, Ray Charles and others. It's not biting. Kill yourself. Much appreciated.

  • @27tgard Even if he didn't bite..Jay has bars. Listen to reasonable doubt and blueprint. I didn't see what the big deal about jay was either till i heard those too albums as a whole.

  • you can stop nobody that's hungry

  • lol best rapper ever? you kids need to get educated smh...hes a great but not the best thats just stupid to say when nas 2pac biggie Big L Andre 3000 are better.

  • ...J is dope......take a minute and check my knew single out on my page titled "EVERY BODY'S A CRITIC"...FEATURING myself {CON} & J-DIGGS from THIZZ...-GOOD MUSIC-.....yaw be easy.

  • I WAS SHOCKED -JAY-Z IS THE GREATEST MAN

    HES LYRICAL SKILLS -ARE NICE

  • jay whent h.a.m. on dis shit

  • BEST FLOW-MOST CONSISTENT-REALEST STORIES-MOST CHARISMA...AND MY INTERVIEWS ARE HOTTER-HOLLA!

  • One of my best songs by Jay Z ! Y'all nigga ain't tired right??? Breathe easy !!!

  • Dope song!! Check out "Made It" by Ether Q. A talented & exciting new rapper!

  • This song is dope as hell.

  • Jay is just amazing when i look back, jay was always ahead of his time. Sime niggas are just now getting to this point, when u can take something like the word exercise and turn it to a song with multi meaning behind every excerise u name freestyleing..This was before 50 cent

  • $EY YE$

    Focused prepared, flow singeing hair.

Coca-cola didn't care, so why the fugk should I be scared?.

Young numb, full of cum I need a FEW HO's.

Break the sticks for the drum, stay on my bleeding toes.

Break my nuggahz off more than crumbs, I aint cheap just sow you know.

    $EY YE$

  • Hell yes. Jay-Z DID KILL THIS SHIT. Honestly, when I first heard the first verse, I'm like he killed it, but I DID NOT BELIEVE he can kill another verse just as well. I kept listening, and 2nd verse is just as sick. I think this is one of his best songs. Top 20 for sure!!

  • @detroitMC313

    JAY-Z IS THE GREATEST RAPPER

  • hate jay z but this is hot

  • WE DON'T STRUGGLE WITH UNDEVELOPED MUSCLE!

  • @lisettesvision one of my favorite quotes! i been screaming this song was ish!! Yall ain't real/ that's yall achilles heel!! Same routine when you see me you know the deal!!

  • banks blacked out on this shit lol "you can book me short notice, i'mma sell out in the night

the car won't get me there, but the helicopter might

i bring all the toys out, let the click go shit, the whips so new, even the bird shit don't stick." ........insane

  • just ill, ill shit. only true heads can appreciate how jay works out with the words. 4 people disliked this because jay left them breathing hard. the nigga said breathe easy, mufuckas...

  • this is ras kass's beat jay just used it

  • @PsychicPomPom it aint JUST Ras Kass beat...many rappers went in on it, its what ill emcees do

  • @PsychicPomPom Jay had this beat before Ras Kass

  • did ras kass use this beat? idk ive heard this beat somewhere before

  • @PsychicPomPom Cormega did. Dead Man Walking.

  • I heard lloyd banks, his simple one meaning punchlines cant compare to the double meanings that Jay spits off the top. Plus lloyd been known to flow the same lines in different freestyles. Cassidy is way better than that nigga in freestyling.

  • problem is, I always see comparing Jay-Z's SONGS to niggas freestyles. Spittin ill bars w/ double & sometimes triple meanings in the theme of the song vs. saying whatever the hell rhymes & sound hard though it doesn't have shit to do w/ the concept of the track...that doesn't make em better, that just means you can spit... that's why Jay compares to MJ. MJ wasn't the BEST passer, 3pt shooter, dunker, etc. but he did everything GREAT & his moves put him in a position no player has been in.

  • @vghopkins I agree with you mostly, but a valid argument can be made that MJ was the greatest dunker of all time. They didn't call him 'His Airness' for nothing man

  • @robbiemo10 And in Jay Z' case a valid argument can be made that he's the most consistent hip-hop artist of all time.

  • @KryptonDaVillain I agree. Jigga is the GOAT

  • @robbiemo10 BIg L was the GOAT

  • @vghopkins agree

  • "I TEACH COKE TO STRETCH" Work out niggs! HOV is Dumb retarded!

  • this is an awesome song probably one of the best songs by jayz

  • @reviewsnake hehe im a white dude that just grew up on the wrong side of town. FUCKBOY! i graduated high school, served in the military, and now i am working with fiber optic lines in seattle... quite educated, was just really high and not giving a fuck the other day. .. tell me, what do you do reviewsnake? other than sit at your computer all day putting people down?

  • @angelfoodcakeface i was joking dumbass who the fuck says uneducated negro i mean wtf

  • it's HOV4LIFE fuckboys! banks and nas can go visit africa or some shit... YA BOY JAY been holdin it the fuck down! ive seen banks live = weak! nas thought for maybe two seconds he was better. then remembered he got hella child support to pay! jay to me is the ILLEST EVER! DEAD OR ALIVE. aint tryin to hear no pun,big l, big, pac (rip) shit either! ONE

  • @angelfoodcakeface ignorant unexgudcated negro

  • @angelfoodcakeface what child support gotta do wit lyrics? alot of cats were and are better than j thats just what it is.

  • @ERIC122475 thats a big negative

  • @angelfoodcakeface well then I feel sorry for you nigga. Aint taking away from Jay's success, props to the man for getting to where hes got... but L killed his shit on their 9 minute freestyle, Crooked I bodied the Blueprint 2 beat, even Wayne did the Best of me beat more justice than hov. Hes nice. He aint the nicest.

  • BANKS BODIED THIS BEAT.....TWICE

  • You fagot banks doesn't rape this beat Cormega does . . . .

  • @coreysm1th ha you're right i forgot about dead man walking, good call; now go suck a dick gay boy. mega still ain't got shit on nas

  • next person to say banks went harder than jay should go headbutt a steak knife.

  • @ottmanoutlol because you disagree, or you just tired of hearing truth.

  • @NaStyNaS1973 i forgot you decided what "the truth" is....and it is apparently its not jay z .....but its lloyd banks????? you sound stupid.

  • @ottmanoutlol all that I said was banks out-rapped jay-z on this beat, neither of them are the "truth" but the "truth" is banks bodied this beat a lot worse. have you even listened to his version? banks workout.

  • lloyd banks raps this beat so much harder than Jay it's not even close

  • @NaStyNaS1973 GET THE............

  • @NaStyNaS1973 Banks ripped it but clearly a lot of the shit Jay said went over your head. Almost every line has to do with some exercisin shit....

with the WEIGHT of the world on my shoulder

I RUN the block...PULL UP in the drop...PUSH UP on my money...im in great shape dunny!!!!

Lloyd was nice with the punchlines, but his shit wasn't science like Jay's was.

  • yall niggas aint tired right?

  • get your fuckin numbers up and stop preaching to me

  • Fucking illuminati fag

  • jay-z killed this shit

  • nappy ass head

  • Im sorry but Banks killed this shit

  • This sounds a WHOLE lot like "Bound By Honor" on MIC's first album EVERYTHING'S BEEN CHANGED-Made In Chicago 1999. Rob Smooth and JD and Rob Savere.

  • This is my fav joint from Jay, i made a Jay Z vs 2pac battlezone mixtape vol 1, 2, & jus finished part 3 earlier 2day. Breathe Easy & 2pac's Hail Mary is a deadly combination!.

  • niggaz ant fkn wit jay

  • no one cares about any of your opinions, because no matter what theres gonna be someone else who disagrees with you. then you guys write back and back explaining why one album is better than another. its just your opinion, NOT A FACT

  • Comment removed

  • he destroyed this fuckin song... aint many people that can rap like jay maaan he went OFF!!! run suicide drills over and over with the weight of the world on my shoulders thats why they call me hova, im far from bein god but i work god damn hard

  • everyone stfu about comparing the two fuck

  • Nas had sold out way b4 Jay (if Jay ever did that is) - Nastradamus is proof. Nd I hate the way ppl say Nas is an intelligent- he really isn't - everytime he's in an interview- he can barely string a sentence together- he isn't that articulate at all nd has no charisma wot so ever- I cnt believe this is the same guy who did classics like- "fetus", "I gave you power" . I'm not for one minute sayin 50 cent is a better rapper den Nas- but listen to his interviews- he's far more intelligent.

  • @zsivaz If you actually knew Jay's disco, then you know Vol.1 was type bubblegum

  • @keybladekid0 bullshit... Volume 1 was a classic album- you must love me, lucky me, wishing on a star, intro/milllion and one questions, imaginary player, where I'm from, the city is mine, rap game/crack game, streets is watching, friend or foe 98- easily his most underrated slbum- u obvioudly hvnt listened to it. If it wasnt for 2 pop records it would be universally accepted as a classic by everyone. Still remain my fav Jay album

  • I personally rate Jay as the realest Rapper Ever- 95% of his songs are about wot he's done not wot he's seen. Jay never sold his soul for riches- every Jay album has hidden gems- he just puts out the commercial stuff to make money- like a smart businessman would. I think Nas was/is one of the biggest fakes ever. He called Jay Z a pop shit on ether- wen in fact his previous was the abysmal NASTRADAMUS- where he ran to GINUWINE to make a hit record- nd was dressed like a complete loser

  • @zsivaz nah he called him a "pop shit-apologize" nigga...as in he pops shit, then he apologizes for it.

  • ILLMATIC may be the quintessential new york hip hop album of the mid 90s. that or ready to die... but anybody who knows that knows not to talk shit about nas. lol.

  • great song...check out immortal technique and jean grae- the illest has this same type of raw hip hop shit dope

  • RD best album ever bp #2 illmatic #3. love both but JAY is king forever

  • I would take Jay over Nas in any category be it lyricism, flow, longevity, consistency, versatility, ability to make both club bangers and songs for listeners, live performance, impact on rap game, originality, rap dominance

but having said all that I have to take Illmatic over Reasonable Doubt (it is close tho) and any other Jay album. I initially preferred RD but 4 sum reason it doesn't hve good repeat play. Illmatic however does nd the production nd duration was perfect.

  • @guitarhero92 no need to collabo with big for nas, he's legend himself, moreover with all due respect, who's legend: Santana or Biggie?

  • nas is good but think about it this way..... hell never be as good as his first album.... jay put out ALOT more then one good album ( and when i say good i mean CLASSIC albums)

  • @pimpspanky51

It Was Written is better than any Jay album bar Reasonable Doubt

    Lol. The Truth

  • @JaysLit1 ur crazy!!! i mea dont get me wrong its a great album but better then reasonable doubt.... idk about that jay had so many hard songs on that album

  • Jay-Z is good. Nas is good. Listen to the music.

  • @Brost31 They are in different lanes too so what Jay ain't doing I can go to Nas and what Nas ain't doing Jay got me covered.

  • dosent matter who the fuck is the best....the past is wayy better than the bum ass commercial shit..CLASSICS!...understand what whe used to have is immortal will never die...so just spark a blunt...sip on sum henny...and jam out motherfuckers

  • THE SECOND VERSE TO THIS SONG HAS TO BE ONE OF THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME....BAR FOR BAR....

"Bring ur squad, biceps triceps n quads, we don't struggle wit undeveloped muscle, ya'll ain't real that's ya'll achilles heel" ...most def one of the greatest lines ever

  • Breathe Easy vs Hail Mary thats a deadly combination.

  • @SuperJayZFan Holy shit! I feel you, dog. Yes! They are top five of this decade no doubt. MMLP & Blueprint > My Life! DAYUM!

  • @SuperJayZFan GET RICH OR DIE TRYIN' was the best hip hop album of the decade. Hands down.

  • even jay will tell u that "reasonable doubt" is his best album. and it is, pretty much. my favorite is "life and times...vol. 2", but he's got so damn many!

  • im far from being god but i work god damm hard

  • @SuperJayZFan yea this is jays best album i mean str8 FIRE!!! he was hungry 2 prove somethin on this shit! but i think the only reason it didnt sell more is because it was released on sept 11 2001

  • this nigga is da fuckin best....

  • just killed this song on the remix check me out

  • @SuperJayZFan its because this album came out around the 9/11 attacks. so the tragedy affected his sales

  • @DatNiggaMino

No, It dropped exactly on 9/11.

  • I can't tell who's better, both Nas and Jay z are awesome

  • banks used all of his beats

  • Cormega - Dead Man Walking

Infinitely superior to this shit. Jay-Z's whole style is waaaaay overrated, mainly by the same dickheads who think Eminem is the "greatest MC that ever lived"...whatever the fuck that even means anymore...

  • @minhasc

tell Cormega to learn how to flow to a beat before mentioning him in Jay-z category.

  • @minhasc

Go listen to "As The World Turns", "Role Model", "Brain Damage", "Kill You", "Marshall Mathers", "Criminal", "Soldier", "Till I Collapse", "Underground", "Cold Wind Blows", "On Fire", and "Almost Famous" before you go and say that about Eminem.

  • @dunk169 hear em all, listen to Pun, G Rap, Big, Nas, AZ, Redman, Wu, Ras Kass, Organized K, Treach, Kane, KRS, Chino XL, Canibus, Souls of mischief, Keith Murray, Rakim and Scarface...just a few MCs that run circles round that dickhead. They ain't white though, so hey there's no hype to build their reps. Truth, admit it or not.

  • @dunk169 you gotta admit em was way better when he first started, the first 3 or 4 albums were great after that he dipped

  • @dunk169 dude eminem is the biggest piece of shit to ever hit the rap industry he shouldve stayed in his trailer park if i ever saw eminem id smack his stupid ass he is the only bad verse in forever his whole theme is how his mome fucked him up as a kid no one cares his moms a dumb bitch that cant raise a kid that being said how could you even compare eminems dumb ass to jay z. jays flow would run circles around his wigger ass im mhite but i firmly believe whit ppl dont belong in the rap world

  • @eatpussy436

    racist

  • @MrSodaBelly im whit myself smart one open ur eyes n read the part that ses im whit my self u ignorant fool and to answer other guys ? jus cuz white ppl dont belong in it its like a white man joinin the talaban or sumthin its jus not right 99%of the rappers that mean any thing r black eminem would have never made it had he not went n found a black rapper to partner with so think about it he has always had a partner n now that every one likes him he dont need one no more n his music is still lame

  • @eatpussy436 BABAHAHAHAHA.. ur a fag.. Eminem is the best! JAY-Z is on the same level too but id rather listen to eminem. Your just a little bitch! So SHUT THE FUCK UP!

  • @WickedG5150 Says who the white fans yeah real reliable. Em is trash.

  • @xldjvista Thats your opinion. Besides, if you were to listen to the RECOVERY album, your mind would change; fast.

  • @xldjvista at least sum one on here has taste in music n thinks eminem is a p.o.s

  • @eatpussy436 Why the fuck not? Hip hop was loved by many people in its early stages including alot of white people e.g. Steinski, Debbie harry etc. And think of what whites have done since then, Rick Rubin produced Run DMC, Beasties boys were the biggest group around in the 80's. Let me ask you, what is it about white people that you find incompatible with rap?

  • @SuperJayZFan T.I. good MC? Snoop an overrated good MC? Fabolous underrated? WTF are u talkin about?

  • He bit this off Nas stay Chizzled. and if you think he didn't Nas says he brolic with Knowledge and Jay used the line when he dissed Nas. he stay bitting nas,I did it my way, come and get me, new york state a mind, he even tried to do rewind on me the Parents. I love the song but I feel it was jay Z bitting as usual.

  • @naps9 This is a much better song lyrically than stay chizzled- nd it is completely different- maybe u didnt understaand the metaphors. Meet the parents nd rewind are completey different. So are empire state nd NY state- NY state is about the streets nd how deADLy they've become whereas Empire State is about New York in general. Maybe u dnt understand lyrics.

  • who the hell disliked this...smhh this n*gga Jay is best rapper all time

  • I spring train in the winter round early December

  • lloyd banks did way better he never stopped he just kept chokin te beat but hova snapped though no lie

  • Perfect song to lift weights to :)))

  • @arsenal25000 rite now i just finish makin a gutta ill battlezone Jay-Z vs 2pac & Jay-Z vs Biggie i put in work rite now im tired az hell rite now i fell asleep at da computer. everybody iz sayin dat 2pac & Big got Jay on this 1, listen to "Breathe Easy" & Pac's "Hail Mary" thats str8 fireeeee.

  • J is a fuckin beast best rapper to ever to face this earth real shit

  • @MrLunchbox215 Jay is 2nd to Big

  • Banks did good too on this beat.

Damn Jay-Z did change a bit the past few years.. Compare this album to Blueprint 3..

  • "get ya weight up not ya hate up, jigga man is dieasl wen i lifet tha 8 up" monster!!!!!

  • @SuperJayZFan What the fuck does Nas' marital situation have to do with who's the best Emcee? Damn y'al Jay fans kil me wit y'all bullshit.

  • @SuperJayZFan Isnt dat sad dat jay z's album is the best hip hop album 2 you. Jay z 's alrite. Did u know he stole KRS ONES album name called the blueprint. Wat A Biter

  • @MercaStaphInfection..yeah true true, but still L got em on that joint lyrics were way sicker

  • @SuperJayZFan because this album came out on 9-11 nobody was buyning albums at that time.if it came out 2002 or 2003 it would have sold more.but this shit still went platnum 3 times and got 5 mics from the source

  • This shits hot...Would like to hear Jay spit over a Top Scholars Beat!!

  • "I drop your set for rep" Jigga's a beast

  • @SuperJayZFan definately right, but i think "Thug Motivation 101" "Trap Muzik" and "Deeper than Rap" are some honorable mentions, but I definately agree with you

  • Jay Z--->>>>  GGGGGGGGG

  • well in my opinion BIG L, R.I.P...got the drops on Jay ..Big L not only made Jay-Z choke on the 7 minute freestyle, cuz Jay try to use the same method as Big L at the same time on the freestyle but failed but half of Big L's Lines were waaay ahead of his time, and rappers today use them and young bulls think that those are fresh lyrics for this generation..well NOPE

  • @hamataj not reallly...jay was using that flow before he was rhyming with big L he was using jaz-o's style cause he was his apprentice and jay didn't do bad on that freestyle he was actually nice and same with L

  • yea just as an artist Nas is ass compared to Jay-z period and since the battle Nas is back in the grave yard where he was before ether as well lol

  • @johnnymazaratti you're kidding right? back in the grave my ass...just cuz he don't do commercial shit like Jay don't mean he's back in any grave. His last two albums were brilliant and he's bout to drop Distant Relatives with Damien Marley on some Hip Hop/Raggae/African music type vibe. I realize it ain't the radio shit you're used to, but don't talk that back in the grave b.s.
