I would take Jay over Nas in any category be it lyricism, flow, longevity, consistency, versatility, ability to make both club bangers and songs for listeners, live performance, impact on rap game, originality, rap dominance
but having said all that I have to take Illmatic over Reasonable Doubt (it is close tho) and any other Jay album. I initially preferred RD but 4 sum reason it doesn't hve good repeat play. Illmatic however does nd the production nd duration was perfect.
