I remember this game....i've been looking for it for so long lol, i used to play it when i was a wee lad and get pissed that I couldnt beat the third lvl
omg omg omg.... this was one my FAVORITE games since i was a kid!!!! i hadnt played or seen it since i was like 8... i was in love n played it all the time!! til my fukin dad sold all my snes stuff. fukin dick. but i been searchin for name of this n was game this was for such a long time. ty so much for puttin this up, mems r comin bak. i love this.......
Only problem with Thunder Spirits: While it's nice having the sampled drums and bass, the rest of the music remix seems kind of half-arsed. The megadrive has those nice portamento lines all over which are only touched upon slightly in the SNES version (bending samples just doesn't sound too great so I understand why they avoided doing it too much in Thunder Spirits). Also the top melody lines are mixed too loud in the SNES version robbing the music of richness.
Oh I have this game. Loved the manual that has a full splash of the splendid box art on its cover page (other than the full-color inner pages). The game visuals are a bit choppy compared to the Sega Genesis version but that'll do.
Wow.. Toneman, I love your full game vids. Metal Stoker still impresses me. Your Thunder Spirits is one of those many 'wow' vids 8)
You going to upload a full playthrough of the new Thunder Spirits when it comes out, or do you plan on waiting until the new factor around its release subsides? :)
Ibara sometimes gets pricey, but it can be had for about $60. I got my PS2 slim from Play-asia on one of their huge sales. It was about $180 shipped. There are plenty of good fighters too, and some classic RPGS like YS have been remade, and if you've played the games before, the language isn't a problem. And the Sega Ages collections are cheap and most have the english language option.

Yeah, I like the distorted (in the good way) and organic feel of the genesis version's music. It was trippy.XD

O_O - my face.
Been trying to record myself playing PS1 Namco Museum 5 Dragon Spirit without dying once. No luck yet. >_>

First thing I need is either to get my PS2 remodded or get a Japanese PS2...
But I highly consider making that pre-emptive investment.

Just invest in a JP ps2. Its worth the cash. And you can play great stuff like ESPgaluda, Dodonpachi DOJ, and Ibara.

Wish him luck getting those.

None of those games are hard to find. Just puts a hole in the bank account.
JP ps2 was one of the best investments I've made gaming-wise.

Never seen Ibara on ebay. How much do Japanese PS2 slims cost? Are there plently of great Japanese exclusives besides the shmups?
