trying hard not to fill up pages with licks!! must try and keep licks in head!! argh head full coming out of ears, should be coming out of harmonica!!! can't cope overload! LOVE IT!!
god, i love this song! it's so powerfull, but warm you know, it's actually the only song i've ever heard from that album, thanks a lot for this lesson!
Wonderful. I bought this album in 1991 after I heard a couple of tracks on KSDT, San Diego's jazz station out of City College. It's great to hear you break down "Groovy People"; I jammed along with it back in the day.
This song was one of the reasons for me to get Harlem Blues after I saw a video of you two playing it on Youtube.
If there's still space for requests, I'd like to suggest Seventh Avenue! That song it really cool and it'd be awesome to hear some of its story also :)
Adam thanks a lot, It´s me who made the request!! Thanks very much. I will upload a reponse as a thank you whenever I see the two videos!! Greetings from the deep south of the continent.
The 'core' of the style you were playing back then is still evident in your current playing. 'That guy' on the CD clearly sounds very much like Adam Gussow in the way that he approaches the groove.
Many harp players will never develop their own style (though they may still amaze, entertain, & inspire us), but you certainly HAVE developed and continue to develop that unique and unmistakeable Gussow style.
That's my favorite. Very good.
